Bobby - I decided to level up my shammy a little... and when I went into an instance, it Instancebuddy's great... but I originally tried RAF - Combat assist and it keeps giving the errors in the log.

I think the first log is whats happening, and the beginning of the second??

Basically I installed ShamWOW, first in the default shammy (overwrote) and thought that it might be the problem, so i deleted that and installed just shamwow (no default shaman CC at all, not even the folder)

I'll start up HB (inside instance) and RAF - Combat Assist -- it says nothing fits the profile for ur character... so i go to CC config, save, hit start again and it starts, doesn't fit ur char, stops.

So I was like ... well, lets see what instance buddy does ... and it worked

Instancebuddy will auto load a blank profile, allowing the bot to run. You can't run the bot without loading a profile, even in RAF mode. Just pick one of the pvp ones, or use the blank one in the IB folder.

there is a light problem with this cc when using it in an instance... it instantly attacks the target which the tank has, without waiting... and sometimes it is so fast, that my shamy pulls first or pulls some adds around... is it possible to fix this in an upcoming version?

floha, My apologies for your issue, however I am not getting the results you describe during my testing. You will need to visit the Frequently Asked Questions-FAQ [link--click here] for details on the information needed when posting an issue. There is a template there you can copy and paste if needed. Hey bobby, any news on a new release fixing minor issues or anything? I'm currently using your latest CC, spec'd in enhancement, and shredding mobs. I'm level 56 now, and my largest gain was 8 levels over night using Liferose's grinding profile.

I was just wondering if this will be your final release, or if there's something coming out that will fix minor issues like those mentioned in the thread. I know that sometimes, and only sometimes, I have the same issue with attacking before the tank pulls, but it's random. I've also, honestly, never seen windshear used on anything that casts spells, and (and this is regardless of how I set up the CC's options) I never seem to use my epic ground mount. I'm forced to use Ghost Wolf. I've been told that this is an HB issue, but before I went to Tanaris to start my level grinding from 45 up I was mounting in Kalimdor regardless of where I was. So, I don't know if this is a CC issue, profile issue (already asked Liferose and was advised that it's an HB issue), or an HB issue.

The afore mentioned items aren't keeping me from leveling so I don't really have any logs to post. However, I did post logs of an issue I was having when starting your CC and trying to configure it. I posted the logs to that on my last post to you.

hey, something to add to shamwow

in instance, when i loot a new weapon and equip it, it will try to enchant it with earthliving but since its new i get a mesage saying .. that this action will make the item non trade-able (the 2 hour bop trade window). and it tries to cast earthliving again and again

not a big deal but ..

ShamWOW will continue to be maintained and supported with new releases being issued to provide new features, new capabilities, or bug fixes. If a couple days pass without my being active in the forums, its just a sign that I am having to focus on work or family and will be back to respond to members soon. More changes are due with the release of Cataclysm and new bots and plug-ins are added all the time that potentially require CC changes. I also am planning on some additional PVP and Pull logic.

I haven't seen it attack early. The next release has been slow in coming but is almost ready. I'll add some additional log output to help track the early attacking issue, but if I can't recreate it I'll need a log file from someone that can. As for Wind Shear, prior to the last version it attempted to interrupt whenever the target was casting. It however didn't check if the spell was interruptible or not, so it was sometimes cast when it had no chance to work. I added support to detect interruptible spells in the last release, but an event expected to be fired by WOW isn't being passed to the CC, so it never thinks the spell is interruptible so it never casts Wind Shear. I've changed the way it does this in the new release so Wind Shear should be back and improved over the last working implementation.

Hmm... Not sure if you are saying ShamWOW forces you to use Ghost Wolf or the inability to use your mount with Honorbuddy is forcing you to use Ghost Wolf. ShamWOW doesn't prevent the use of a ground mount. If Ghost Wolf is checked on the General tab of ShamWOW Configuration (its checked by default), it will use Ghost Wolf but only if the HonorBuddy "Use Mount" option is not checked. In other words, if you setup to use a mount in HonorBuddy then no matter what you do in ShamWOW presently it won't cast Ghost Wolf. If you don't setup to use a mount in HonorBuddy, then ShamWOW will cast Ghost Wolf but only the option to use it is checked. Let me know if I misunderstood. I'm not familiar with any mount specific issues in HonorBuddy at the moment.

Yes, thank you for the log files, much appreciated! I couldn't recreate that issue, but based upon yours and others log files I have a revision in the next release that I believe addresses it but won't know until its posted and you can give a whirl.

Yea, its an issue in WOW. It warns you that applying the spell will make it non-tradeable, but it actually doesn't. The simplest thing to do now is not to equip the weapon until the trade window has expired. I'll look at adding an automatic reply to the prompt when it results from a weapon enhancement spell being cast in a future release.

I have zero knowledge on how to code a CC, or alter the code of a CC in anyway, so if you could either point me to a FAQ/Guide on learning the code for a CC, or make it so as a resto shammy it will take advantage of the Telluric Currents (40% Lightning bolt damage as mana gain) when running as resto spec. using it to heal Heroics, but I've noticed it loves Healing Surge, and some times spams it enough to drop my Mana pool to below 50%, which begins to get me nervous that I'll have to take over and spam lightning bolt for some regen.

I have no knowledge of how difficult it would make it to say have (My Mana <50% = Lightning Bolt on target/tank's target)...because even after looking through a couple of CC's in Notepad++ I dont have half a clue on how to make it do something not already included in the CC.

So yeah. any kind of response, (Or proper directions to a valid, readable, helpful tutorial on how to get started on learning the code for CC making) would be very much appreciated.

Thanks so much for the great CC, I wish all the classes had CCs that ran as well as ShamWoW, and had as many configuration options, and I thank you for all your hard work and support towards this project.

Two responses on this one. 1) You can change the combat style for RaF to Healing Over Combat. That will cast damage spells. Next version will specifically recognize both Telluric Currents and Focused Insight to boost mana regen and healing respectively, both of which in the end conserve mana (one by increased heals, the other directly regenning mana.) 2) If you aren't going OOM however, then the mana consumption is ok. I understand the concern, but unless you literally can't cast a heal I'm thinking the large heal of Healing Surge being favored is a good thing at the moment.

For now, just change the RAF Combat Style. Later revisions will cast LB and ES automatically even if Heal Only if those talents have points. Thanks for the post and good luck with your Shaman!

Something else appears to be occurring outside of ShamWOW resulting in the slowdowns. I haven't see the pauses present in your log file in any other submitted by IB users. For example, my computer is a low-end Vista system that feels like I'm in a row boat trying to tow a cruise ship most of the time, and it only took 0.1 seconds to do something that took 19.5 seconds on yours. This doesn't appear to be a CC issue, but I'll continue to help trouble shoot.

1. Have you tried clearing out the WOW Cache and doing a cold reboot of your system?

2. Are other programs running other than HonorBuddy and WOW?

3. When playing WOW and not botting, do you experience sluggish response and long pauses?

Please do the following in addition to responding to the questions above:

a. Delete the contents of your WOW Cache folder, shutdown your system, and restart.

b. Make sure all WOW Addons and all HonorBuddy Plug-ins are disabled / removed.

c. Submit a log for running the same Shaman through a grinding profile using the Grind bot in HonorBuddy. You don't need to let it run long. There is no difference in the initialization code run so it would be useful to see some timings where InstanceBuddy isn't involved.


A new release should be posted today, but my recommendation is that you don't upgrade immediately and try the things above with your current version so we have useful comparisons.
