ShamWOW for HB2 - An Enhance/Elemental/Resto + PVP/RaF Healbot by Bobby53

Hey bobby53.

There is a bug with the totems. ShamWoW wants to use "Call of the elements" rather than "Call of ancestors". "Call of ancestors" is both cheaper in mana and support better totems than "Call of the elements does". So please, change for next release.

All "Calls of the ..." are equal in support of totems.
The "Call of the ..." itself has no manacost.
YOU set up the totems that are used (unless auto by ShamWoW), and depending on your selected totems it's that manacost that increases or decreases.

Further read the Abilities.txt file for when each "Call of the ..." is used for.
As you write it's a bug, it's not. The behaviour is intended and described.
From the mentioned information file (found in the install package of ShamWoW).
* Call of the Ancestors (being ganked or battleground) <-- This means for PvP
* Call of the Elements (stressful) <-- General fights and dungeons

LiquidAtor is correct, the mana cost of any of the Call of the ... spells is simply the sum of whatever totems have been assigned to it. There is no difference between Call of the Elements and Call of the Ancestors if you set the same exact totems in them. Additionally, they support the same set of totems... there is no additional ability present in Call of the Ancestors. The ABILITIES.TXT mentioned in LiquidAtors post is an important file to review regarding questions about when certain things are cast. Unfortunately it is in need of update, especially in the Totems sections as that is old and no longer correctly describes ShamWOW support for totems. I will make sure that it is revised for next release.

Shamanistic Rage

Hey!

I just want to point out how awesome this CC is! I've had absolutely no problems with it, except when HonorBuddy got updated!

Anyways, here I go!

I feel like the bot uses Shamanistic Rage way less then it should. My shaman is level 70 and I have reduced my drinking downtime by 100% by doing this in the Shaman.cs file:

Code:
[B]#REPLACE LINE 2996[/B]
if (_me.ManaPercent < [COLOR=red][B]_cfg.RestManaPercent[/B][/COLOR])
Code:
[B]#WITH THIS[/B]
if (_me.ManaPercent < [COLOR=red][B]65[/B][/COLOR])
You can always tune the value to fit your character!

If we ask nicely maybe Dev will add an option in the GUI to modify this value depending on gear and talents. :)

Over and out!

+REP!

Hi Durgen! Glad to hear its working well for you! Here is a link [click here] to an earlier post describing how Shamanistic Rage support is currently implemented. I'll look at additional user control over frequency of casting. Shamanistic Rage isn't going to eliminate drinking downtime for all Shaman, but glad to hear you were able to get approach that enviable state. Thanks for the +rep !

Alright, thanks for the answers.

How about the problems with IB?

ShamWoW targets the healer when being healed and tries to do stormstrike etc. on the healer which is impossible and looses dps.

Is this a common known problem or am I doing anything wrong?

i think you use the shamwow that is implemented in the HB download right ? i had this issues with this version too, just download the newest version in this thread and use the latest HB "Test" version, it should fix that problem.

Hi guys,

I'm new to Honorbuddy in general, and have recently bought it exclusively for use with instancebuddy. However i'm encountering a few problems.

It would be appreciated if someone could outline the recommended steps to get HB, instancebuddy and Shamwow working together.

Thanks alot,

Jaz

How come ShamWoW always double heals?

It casts a healing wave, and after that healing wave is finished and i'm at 100 % hp it casts another one! Waste of time and mana.

Is this a problem that only I have or is this a common known problem?

I have found that to be a lagissue, same with several CC's.

I'm not currently looking into any issues with IB as none have been reported. If you are experiencing a problem, please post an issue as outlined in the ShamWOW FAQ [ link -- click here ]

Jaz, Sorry to hear you are experiencing issues. I recommend the following:
1. Download and install most recent version of HonorBuddy
2. Download and install most recent version of ShamWOW (currently 4.1.9)
3. Download a grinding profile or just do a Battleground to confirm its working

You should now have a confirmed working installation of HonorBuddy and ShamWOW. At this point, just visit the InstanceBuddy thread and follow its instructions on installation and use. No additional configuration of ShamWOW is needed for use with InstanceBuddy. I do recommend specifying only Healer or DPS in the LFD settings, but not both at the same time.

If you have any issues, please be sure to make a detailed post in this thread as described in the ShamWOW FAQ [link -- click here]

The issue atm Jazzzod is that Instancebuddy do not support current version of Honorbuddy, that will hopefully be fixed soon tho.

My lvl80 healbot stops moving (i.e following the tank) as soon as he enters combat.
Considering ppl outgear this content by far both during lvling (heirloom) and at lvl80 this is kinda bad since most tanks tend to masspull from lvl 40 and upward.

Thanks dottzor and my apologies for the issue experienced. Please see ShamWOW FAQ [link -- click here] for information on posting an issue so I can have the detail necessary to look into it for you.

hi i use this and its great! but today ive been getting this in my log

[12:26:21 PM:673] Memory moved for lua events (newEvents); skipped for now.

it makes my shammy stop a lot in random spots for like 10ish seconds and then move again for 10ish seconds over and over.

i posted my log in the release honorbuddy post. just wanted to drop it by here too if someone has a similar problem to know if its a cc thing or if its a bot itself thing. or maybe someone knows a quick fix for it. the bot runs smoothly for a while if i restart it but eventually i start getting that error and the problems begin.

ty in advance!

Hi again,
Got it working finally; ended up not installing the CC but using the one included in Honorbuddy.

Having a problem with totems, it is spamming Call of the Elements constantly, looks a tad suss - how to fix?

The message you mention is not from ShamWOW and is coming from either HonorBuddy or another component.

Could we possibly get the 4.18 version for people like myself who still use HB 1.6.9.1 (most stable in my opinion)
