ShamWOW for HB2 - An Enhance/Elemental/Resto + PVP/RaF Healbot by Bobby53

Hey Bobby

Quick leveling question here that i noticed while using land mount.
You think you would be able to make it so if you use land mount, the bot will run to the mob while mounted like it does when using Ghost Wolf?

Currently i see it running on a Elekk, then targetting something. Stop - dismount - then run to mob :)
Not really a bug report, just something i noticed that i'd love to see :)

Oh and how do i stop the CC from using Grounding Totem when in dungeons?

I've tried setting it to auto or specific totems (i'd still like ShamWoW to place the totems, just not grounding)
Venus, Most likely, it isn't related to ShamWOW but is due to your HonorBuddy Settings having Kill Between Hotspots checked (a log file would have let me say for sure...) As for Grounding Totem, there is an option to use it On Cooldown on the General tab. Thanks for the post and good luck with your Shaman, -Bobby53

I don't know if you've tried already or not, but there is an option that you can "check", since it's a check box, that will allow you to use grounding totem every CD. I have mine cleared since I don't use grounding totem at all, and it never really casts it that I've seen. I can't remember which tab it's on though. I think it's on the second or third one? Memory is pretty fuzzy. Just remove the check from the box and it should stop using grounding totem on every CD.

Edit: Just saw that bobby answered you already. Yeah, what he said, it's on the General tab on the right side, towards the bottom, lol.

I'll apologize in advance because I'm sure this question has been asked before; I searched this thread and the forums but couldn't find a definitive answer.

I'd like to know how best to setup a shamwow bot as a healbot that will simply follow my main acct toon while questing. It seems like lazyraider would work, by setting the main acct toon as the leader to follow, but I'm wondering about things like flying mounts, etc. Will the healbot mount a flying mount and follow the leader successfully (of course when piloting the leader toon I can help make it easier for the bot to follow, etc)? Would this setup work or should I look at other options?

Thanks for the fantastic work on lazyraider and shamwow, they've both been instrumental in rekindling my excitement for WoW since I can now play the fun parts while the computer handles the boring parts (isn't that why we built computers in the first place?)

ferenz, For the hybrid Questing Party you described, there will be some subtleties in play. Here is a quick overview.

1. Create your Party. Invite the Shaman and set the Role of the Leader to Tank. You can leave the role of the Shaman undefined.

2. ShamWOW: No changes are needed, the defaults settings will work well. The default behavior you get in a Quest/Grind Party will will work well. I would recommend running the Shaman as either Elemental or Enhancement, since you'll get some additional DPS and ShamWOW will automatically switch to Off Heal mode if a party member (including yourself) falls below 40%. You can change that % to a higher (or lower) percentage if you want in the Class Config on the RAF/Instances tab. If you want to be ultra aggressive (meaning you are playing the main account toon by hand and want to aggro the whole zone) you should run the Shaman as Resto to benefit from the Earth Shield and faster more powerful heals.

3. LazyRaider: Set the Bot Config to Auto-follow enabled. Start off using the default follow range and adjust as you determine is needed. Also set the Auto select Tank option. Additionally, you can select your main acct toon as the Tank in the selection list since you are in options already. The latest version of ShamWOW uses the HonorBuddy Flightor movement so will mount a flying mount and follow. That will also causes some issues indoors where (at least in the prior version) flightor would unexpectedly stop moving inside of buildings.

Note: I am assuming you are playing the main account toon leader/tank manually. This setup should work well for that. That will make it easy for you to wait and correct should you encounter the Flightor interior movement issue mentioned above. It will also allow you to account for the movement speed differential between mounts (for example, a Shaman following a Death Knight that has points in On A Pale Horse will eventually fall out of range of the leader) or terrain that results in stucks for the follower.

If you are referring to using your Shaman to Healbot another toon that is running Questing bot trying to get a fully automated AFK party question solution, it will work for a short period of time but isn't something you want to leave AFK.

If you look at other options and come up with something that works well be sure to post back on your results.

Thanks for the post and good luck with your Shaman, -Bobby53

Thanks for the response.

It actually worked great for questing, but I couldn't get it to work properly for BGs (which I thought would be easy). The bot goes into a mount loop (mount, dispell, mount, etc) constantly using ShamWOW and Lazyraider...I tried using singular and the same problem arose. The interesting thing is that it only happens in BGs. I've seen some other folks posting about this issue...has there been any investigation into possible causes or workarounds? The funny thing is that if I turn off mounting in Honorbuddy or ghost wolf in ShamWOW those actions still occur; seems like something is pretty wonky. I'd love to fix it because I was really excited about having the healbot follow me around in PVP.

I have noticed that nothing is actually setting the Hex combobox to be enabled (unless i missed a ctrl+f). Just want to give you a heads up.

Also, can you add a condition the when you recall totems to check if the Mana Tide Totem is active. Sometimes it will use it at the end of combat, then after it is over it recalls it.

madhsv, My apologies for the issue, but unfortunately the description does not match the results of my testing. The settings required for use with ShamWOW are:
Frame Lock = false (clear checkbox)

If you continue to have a problem and need support, please see ShamWOW Frequently Asked Questions [CLICK HERE] and follow the steps in "FAQ #1. How to post a question, issue, or constructive criticism ...." That will provide the information I need to research the problem and assist you.

Thanks for the post and good luck with your Shaman, Bobby53

Oh didn't know frame lock was not to be used. will see how it goes now

Thanks again awesome cc

Will this CC be good/better then singular for botting a level 15 Resto Shaman and a Warrior Tank with RaF through the use of Dungeon Buddy?

Thanks for your time and help

Best regards

Thethinker, Thanks for the post! When you have a question about whether something will work it is typically more valuable for you to try it and see which works better for you. This thread is intended for those that have a support question about their current use of ShamWOW. For general discussion topics or questions about possible use, please post in the HonorBuddy Support Issues thread or another one intended for that purpose. If you decide to use ShamWOW and encounter a problem or just have a question about what you observed, please post in this thread and attach your complete debug log from the HonorBuddy\Logs folder. Thanks for the post and best of luck with your Shaman regardless of what you use, Bobby53

rosek, Thanks for the post! You will want to go to the ShamWOW Frequently Asked Questions [CLICK HERE] page and read the FAQ for the following topics:

FAQ #10. Can I do Dungeons (5-man) with ShamWOW?
This FAQ specifies the DungeonBuddy setting required for use with ShamWOW and should solve your problem.
FAQ #1. How to post a question, issue, or constructive criticism ....
This FAQ contains steps on providing the information in the post necessary for me to research your issue. I can only guess that FAQ #10 will solve your issue. My advice to all ShamWOW users is to follow those steps for making a post on any question/issue they have. Otherwise I typically can only respond with a link to the FAQ and a polite request to provide that info so I can assist further.
Thanks for the post and good luck with your Shaman, Bobby53

Wowsham IS the BEST CC out there for shaman, i dont think anyone can beat bobby with his wowsham cc

Love this

how can i eneble hex its all greyed out or wil it just use it because it stands on none?
You don't. It's disabled because the option isn't supported.

Please be sure to follow the steps provided in the ShamWOW FAQ I linked in my earlier replies to you for any question or issue you may have.

Love this one! Really great work!
I was wondering if an implemention of Totemic Recall could work? (with an option ofc to turn it on and off)
Would love it to recall all totems when the fights over :)

Cheers!

Edit: NVM, it did recall them.. HB just bugged out and after a restart it all work'd as it should. :)

Doesn't want to start for me

HB Log - Pastebin.com
Beeftip, My apologies for the issue and thanks for the post! Unfortunately I don't access links to any 3rd party sites. Please visit the ShamWOW Frequently Asked Questions [CLICK HERE] and see FAQ #1 for steps on posting the details needed to research an issue for you.

If it won't start, most likely it is an incomplete installation of ShamWOW. This typically occurs when the user only extracts the ShamWOW folder from the .ZIP rather than all the contents. For installation instructions, see the FAQ linked above or the INSTALL.TXT included in the .ZIP you downloaded.

Thanks for the post and good luck with your Shaman, Bobby53

PS: An error message will appear in the HonorBuddy display window. For an example of how it appears see the following post [CLICK HERE]

Stample, Thanks for the post and follow up! Glad to hear it is working well. There are a number of options controlling Totemic Recall available to you. Click the Class Config button and look on the General tab.

If you encounter any issues in the future or have a question about your use of ShamWOW, please follow the steps in the ShamWOW Frequently Asked Questions [CLICK HERE] page. There in FAQ #1 you will find steps on providing the info I need to be able to research any question or issue you may have.

Thanks for the post and good luck with your Shaman, Bobby53
