Running this now for the past two nights 10 hcs and 2 full raids, both in ele and healing spec and ran superb, shamefully i think it was actually better than me haha

what settings etc do you do? addons running, plugins? mines doing 6k dps.

my elementar shamy doesnt use elementry mastery, casts are stucked sometime. just switched back to .08, work good for me.

@ Redberet Im hitting 22k dps at max but settling at between 16-18k dps at the moment, didnt change anything in class setup apart from under the Raf/Instance tab to combat only.

I'm still very new to HB so i havent really messed with many plugins as yet.

Just load a profile, doesn't matter which, take AV PVP profile.

Heffalompen, Thank you for the post and my apologies for your issue. However more detail is required (battlegrounds, arena, dungeons, raids? it is handled differently in each.) In general, the symptoms described for Earth Shield do not match the results of my testing. Be sure to use the template and steps provided on the ShamWOW Frequently Asked Questions [CLICK HERE] for any question, issue, or constructive criticism you would like me to research and respond to. Note, there is an option to disable ShamWOW from applying any shields putting that responsibility in your hands if you prefer. See Class Options -> General -> Disable Shields. That option was added more for Arena play so the user could quickly move Earth Shield around as they prefer, but feel free to use this in any environment where you want to be responsible for manually applying and reapplying all Shields. you sir, are a scholar and a gentleman! This was basically all I wanted, my stupid mind didn't figure it out. To answer your question, this has been primarily raids and 5-mans.

hey bobby, here is a follow up about the suggestion for a "pause" button.
I basically would want one of these for drinking purposes.

spec-restro as the talent spec.
situation-in a raid
what should happen- heavy fight, took a lot of mana, next group needs pulled quick(or tank is a little impatient, your choice), i need mana so i click my drink and grab some mana while they start pulling and get up when heals need to start. (other healers are around so they can heal while im getting mana.
what did happen- same situation as above but when I click my drink right after i sit down it desides to refresh watershield. OR it notices someone needing a small heal and stands up before I get any mana.

another situation- in the new zone when you have to click the portal to advance to the next areas. if a group wipe occurs and I am running back. when I first enter the part where you get your body back, I click drink to get mana back and someone else enters the area from the graveyard and it gets right up and starts healing them. then I click drink again and bam someone else enters and it stands right back up to heal.


this is where a pause button would be great. now i know that you can just click stop on HB and do what a pause button would do, but to be very honest, I have crashed so many times clicking the stop button I do not like to do that method. Another thing is, I could set my "eat" threshold up higher so that it will auto eat sooner, but then what if i do not really need drink that soon an we are trying to move on and i do not have time to drink just then. again, great example of being able to press "end" (a key set for the pause button) to be able to control if i need to emergency eat.

now this wouldn't even be nessecary if there was a check in the script to check if my toon is sitting and drinking. If toon is "drinking" puase script until toon is standing. kind of like how some hunter scripts to see if they feign death, the script just pauses until they are not feign any longer than continues.

I hope this all makes sense, I tried my best to give you what you asked for

I think that would be nice. Possibly put the bot in a "resting" state if you're drinking/eating until the buff goes away, or mana and health are at 100% (whichever comes first). That way if I did decide I needed to get some mana, I could do so and then hit the forward button when I'm "good enough" and the bot would continue on it's way.

I could also see issues with this though, especially for those using IB. You don't want the bot to manually try to eat and then have the bot sitting there for 15 seconds while the tank just pulled an entire room. (Possibly fix by forcing the bot to stop eating/drinking if tank is not in X yds)

Having an issue in PvP as Ele.

HonorBuddy Mode: PvP
Shamans Location: AV
What should have happened (be specific): Should have been fighting, but looked like it would just auto attack and heal me if I got low. I had ShamWoW set to Combat Only and Healing over Combat, and it has done it on both. This log was from Combat Only.
What did happen (be specific): Had PvP bot going and the bot would target an enemy, but didn't seem to be "fighting". I looked in to HB and it said something along the lines of "An except has occured. See log for details." It spammed this many.. many times.
Computer time of problem (local time, not realm time): 9pm - 9:15ish.

Oh, and it keeps spamming "You are not in a party." constantly in WoW chat. Not sure if related or not.

** Update: 9:37p
Deleted ShamWoW folder and config. Reinstalled latest Shamwow. Started up PvP bot as resto and realized the bot was on "Combat Only". I checked and the same "An Exception occured. Check debug log for details." spam. Where it should have been casting spells, it's throwing that error instead. Also tried with BG Bot just to make sure it wasn't me just using the wrong bot.. same problem.

Shamans Location: dragon soul
What should have happened (be specific): Decent dps (I'm assuming?) Casts correctly, full rotation
What did happen (be specific):I'm not sure if i've configured it wrong, but the rotation was going slow (at first, it was even trying to heal people as elemental). it'd use flame shock, then a lava burst, rarely using lighting bolt(Also chain lighting single target), waiting 3-5 seconds inbetween casts, for a while it would just spam nothing but lava burst, waiting for it to come off cd if it had to.
Computer time of problem (local time, not realm time): 9-10 PM EST 12/10/11

Redberet9912, Thanks for the post and my apologies for your issue. However I notice you mention the problem occurring over the range of an hour, but what I really need is the time of a specific occurrence so I can focus my research of the log file with your observations. The log file provide also spans from 10:11 PM to 10:34 PM so I'm not sure if it is the one you intended to attach or not.

I did notice that the ShamWOW.config contains bad xml based upon the red message:

I believe this is causing some of your issues as failing to load the global ShamWOW.config file leaves the CC in an invalid state. Basically not all the initialization took place, so even though you indicated an RAF Style of Combat Only, it still began to Off Heal when a player below 40% was detected.

The best way to correct this is to reinstall ShamWOW overwriting existing files. That will replace your ShamWOW.config with a valid one and with valid initialization, everything should work as expected at that point.

On the most part I find ShamWOW needs very little manual attention. But with the new instances specially the Deathwing fight, I find there is situations where it should be casting healing rain, I've tired to change the settings to get the bot to spam healing rain when available. But it just doesn't no matter how I change the settings. THe reason why I was thinking it might be nice to have a pause cc feature is so that you can do things like use buff food, when the raid has just wiped, or when to raid leader calls to stop healing and let everyone die. I have been clicking stop HB, but it crashes both the wow client and HB sometimes which is even worse.

With the food buff, I usually use fortune cookie.. And while they are easy enough to get, the CC doesn't care if your eating, and if someone buffs, it will start healing, even if the raid hasn't engaged the boss.etc sometimes I've used as many as 3 cookies to get my damn buff.. Raid people ask me whats going on, I just tell them I'm after the 5000g.. ROFL

rcadams, For consuming food of your own choice currently, you should press the HonorBuddy Stop button prior to eating buff food. When you are ready to resume, press the HonorBuddy Start button. That should address periods where you want to fully take control such as that and you should "get your damn buff" ROFL. . I will look at revising the Resting code (non-combat) to detect a food/drink initiated by the user instead of the CC. I don't see the need for a Pause button in this instance however.

As for the Healing Rain mention, the symptoms provided don't match the results of my testing. Did anyone experienced weird thing in EoTS. My char moving to hotspot but then he sees somone low on health and trying to heal him, so he cast for 0.5 sec then stops and run to hotspot again. And this repeats over and over. Looks extremely suspicious tbh. I`ll post a log when i come home.
