Hey Guys,

Has anyone else noticed the latest version of ShamWoW now seems to dispell the ZG cauldrons. I have my settings as the default.

It seems to be ignoring the ShamWoW.config for these. I have checked and cannot see anything wrong. I had to disable the Cleanse Spirit option for now as it was pissing off other players lol.

Anyone else seen this with v4.5.06?

Hey Bobby, which specc do you recommend using Shamwow in at 85? Im going to level a shammy just for this so ^^ (oh and it'll be dps)

You can bot any spec successfully, so I recommend speccing the one that aligns with whether you enjoy casters or melee more. Since you'll be levelling one and are certain you want DPS only, I would suggest dual speccing Elemental / Enhancement and giving each a turn at BG's, Dungeons, and Farming (in the late 60's or 70's so they have accumulated some higher level abilities.) Gear is still relatively cheap at that point. Don't evaluate on the DPS but based upon the play style, because once you hit 85 and get good gear the DPS will be there either way. zahremar, Thanks for checking in on this topic. I agree about what what likely meant for the request, but unfortunately that isn't enough as its not an effective use of anyones time to guess about what was meant. Additionally, I am pretty much at the end of adding ON/OFF options to ShamWOW. Revisions to ShamWOW will need to be in line with the original design goal of deteterming the best possible response to a combat scenario then performing it (behavioral response.) It will take more effort and time on the part of a user requesting a change to fully describe the specifics of what causes Hex to be cast, how it should be prioritized relative to other spells suitable for Maelstrom Weapon Procs (what if Shaman is at 25% health -- should it still Hex instead of GHW?), should it Hex only characters in range or should it run to them, should it use Instant Hex only during an enemy spell cast and only when Wind Shear is on cooldown etc. etc. etc. Another thought... why have to specify Focus? If there is a current Focus frame use it, otherwise select one based upon best practice. A static focus can be useful, but it can also be a hinderance to one of the key advantages of botting. So while it seems like a simple request, it really isn't if it is going to be useful. The level of detail I just summarized is a lot of what has gone into ShamWOW. Out of expediency I have at times weakened and added options for users to turn things ON and OFF, but that was never the focus of ShamWOW. The strange thing is I have not edited this file or anything, this was from a fresh install.

Please let me know how to correct this issue.

EDIT: Note that you are not the first one to miss installing the Config folder. I owe you guys a better error message and will include that in the next release. Will also cause the Bot to stop which will make it easier to diagnose as well.

What should have happened (be specific): Attacked
What did happen (be specific): Stopped using spells. It worked absolutely perfect through out the entire firelands. Every boss it did perfect BUT when we got to the molten spewers right before Ragnaros it stopped working. All spells stopped casting and everything. I restarted and same thing it's not casting anymore. I love this CC and don't understand why it all of a sudden stopped working after it worked the entire firelands raid?
Computer time of problem (local time, not realm time): Not sure of the time.

NOTE: I deleted a huge portion in the middle so the log could be small enough. I guess do a search for molten spewer because thats about the time it stopped attacking

I'm not sure if this has been asked before or if it has been implemented but I thought I should ask since it didn't work for me. Would it be possible to add a check to see if we are mounted/ghostwolf/drinking and if so to not do anything? I sit down to drink or mount in ZG to run through poison and the CC continues to top people off. Is there any way to avoid this other than starting and stopping HB which can sometimes (meaning always) cause crashes?

Projektt, I appreciate you taking the time to post regarding your experience. Quick reminder: don't modify log files. Hate for you to go to the trouble of posting and data being missing. If they are too large compress Log file as a .ZIP before attaching. This is covered in the FAQ. For this run, it appears the problems began after the point where some party members were resurrected and the tank changed from Paladin.0E3E to DeathKnight.70DE. The problems however don't appear to be related to these events because the issue is that your targets are being reported by HB at this point forward as not being in line of sight. For example:

That debug output indicates that when ShamWOW asks if the target is in line of sight, the response from HB is "No" so it doesn't proceed attacking. You'll notice that some instant casts are still occurring (Unleash Weapon, Flame Shock, etc.) This is occurring in a piece of code normally used while the Shaman is trying to chase or move towards the target (in this case to get into line of sight since HB says you are out of it.) Since the casts are successful then clearly as far as WOW is concerned you are within range and in line of sight, but ShamWOW can only react to the info it is provided which says that you aren't.

So... what does this mean for you? I can't debug HonorBuddy and since its providing incorrect data your only option is to close it and restart. You should not have to exit WOW (unless its in turn providing the bad data to HonorBuddy.) Note: Pressing STOP then START does not clear any memory.

I'll look at disabling line of sight checks for LazyRaider usage only, but this needs to be done carefully to make sure it doesn't break ShamWOW for everyone else. Note that I don't see this as a fix since HB may return other incorrect values next time that some hack hasn't been made for. This is the best I'll be able to do for you however.

Here is my log for my test run. I started the run in ghostwolf form but when I got close to the tank he cast his shield and broke GW form.
Also after first pull I started drinking and he cast totems when the tank pulled and interrupted that as well.
I was hoping for a mount/Ghostwolf/drink check so that it wouldnt heal unless i was ready.

Nightskine, Thanks for the complete and focused log file. In a bit of hurry so just a quick response. I can follow up further later if you would like.

Ghost Wolf. I understand the point of the example is to demonstrate that Ghost Wolf can be broken by casting shields etc., but it doesn't demonstrate that shields shouldn't be cast on startup. I already was aware that it would do this, but I was hoping for an example of when it shouldn't be taken out of form. I believe on startup and when transitioning from IN COMBAT to OUT OF COMBAT it should cast shields. If ShamWOW were managing the Ghost Wolf cast in this case, it would have applied shields before casting Ghost Wolf so it wouldn't have broken form for that until they expired. In this particular log, what broke Ghost Wolf form was the tank entering combat and ShamWOW determining you needed Water Shield. You can avoid this in the future by casting Water Shield before casting Ghost Wolf (so you already have it and don't have to use a GCD when combat begins)

Eating / Drinking. I don't see where you were eating or drinking in this log file and if you were, I don't see where it was interrupted. Drinking currently does get interrupted when you enter combat or when the tank enters combat and falls below 70%. I will revise the current logic to account for spec so that only a Resto (or Off Healer) responds to any group members health falling. I will also revise so that it won't interrupt drinking upon the Shaman entering combat (when in an RAF group). That should work better for chain pulling trash, etc. in those circumstances where you are able to get out of combat long enough to start drinking. We need to be careful though because a healer drinking to 100% while group members are losing large amounts of health / dying doesn't seem desirable.

torrmentedone, Thanks for the post and welcome to HonorBuddy! (noticed your post count of 1) This thread is for support of ShamWOW, which is a CustomClass (also known as CC). It is a component that the Bot you are running (in this case Questing bot) invokes to handle Shaman specific behavior. In general, this means things occurring while you are in Combat. There are a few non-Combat behaviors (buffing, rezzing group members, etc.) but for the most part if it happens outside of Combat, its a different component that is managing it. You'll want to post in the HonorBuddy Support thread. Tony and others should be able to review and direct to the best resource to assist you with this. In this case however, its not a ShamWOW issue.
