Selling Gold so high Transfer fee -.-

I agree with Satan2004, you're seriously whining and bitching about making REAL money on a VIDEO GAME from NOT DOING ANY WORK? Jesus Christ man, seriously, quit botting if you're not making enough money, more for the rest of us, quit being so fucking ungrateful.

BTW you're also retarded, most of the fees from the items goes to Paypal, not Blizzard. Have you ever sold auctions before? Like eBay? Paypal + eBay take a fuck ton of money from the sales, don't blame Blizzard for making a little bit of money, it's a free online game (unlike their WoW which costs monthly).

so apparently the medical student in your retarded country cannot even do simple math? taking 15% for transaction fee and 15% for paypal transfer is not equivalent to 30%
 
Funny how people are pointing out it's not exactly 30%.. i really don't think he was trying to point out that it's exactly 30% but rather the high fee.. lol

The crux of this thread was to highlight the juxtaposition between the fees imposed for Gold sales as opposed to Item sales...
 
The only way to avoid these fees is to sell on a website at say.. 20% less than RMAH current prices, or sell to Goldfarming resellers.

However because everyone knows about the 30% fees you're not going to improve on it that much.

Last sale on RMAH I made was 2 seperate gold sales near ?300 total, take 30% off that and I agree with you. Dafuk?
 
30% is generous fee compared to what state take from our official profits with taxes...
 
At least some of the taxes go towards funding public roads, infrastructure, health care, education system.

Which are worth shit, and if state wouldnt rob You in the first place, You could buy most of these services yourself. On the other hand, fees which go to blizzard and paypal, are used to maitain profitability of this game and therefore our own buisness.

noo.. The whole point of health care/education system/welfare payments are so you DON'T have to "buy" them yourself. The wealth of a nation is distributed so the government can subsidise various funding schemes like the Pharmaceutical Benefit Scheme we have in Australia. You are suggesting a free-for-all tax-free nation which would collapse any nation.

Blizzard and paypal both have various means of generating revenue; not just RMAH. Lowering the RMAH tax will not cause them to shut down shop. Even without any RMAH there will be profits; thousands of games don't have RMAH and they are still profitable... All this does is encourage other game developes to implement ridiculous RMAH mechanisms to leech every dime off customers.

Im not saying that taxes should by removed at all, im just saying that state is taking to much money from us, and those "free" services you have mentioned, which are used as excuse for that theft are of laughable quality. Just let me know one thing, are You studying on You 30th in the world University for free ? If not, You see what mean Yourself, if Yes, know that Your studies are in fact paid by loans which Your country makes in Your name : Til debt do us part: the credit bill of every Australian | Article | The Punch. So either You are paying double for thosse "free" services, or even TRIPLE.

Lowering fees might not cause them to shut it down D3 completely, bu it could, for an instance, cause them to slow process of delivering new content, because they might think that its more profitable to invest more resources into developing WoW. And how bad would that reflect on our profits is obvious. Frankly, im quite happy that blizzard made those fees as they are, because im making a lot more cash from selling items than gold, so i prefer to pay 1 Eur for 9of10 auctions with items with price between 30-250 EUR, and than 15% for 1of10 auction auction with gold for 30-50 EUR, than lets say 10% for each (which i would do if i were blizzard).

Well I guess it depends on your income; there is a threshold for taxable income. Some don't pay tax at all; some rich people pay a lot of tax but who cares when they are rich!?

I don't know what you meant by "theft" since the Government is not a profit organisation; all their tax revenue eventually go back into the Nation. Yes, i get something called Commonwealth Supported Place HECS....They don't make "loans" in my name; they already allocate the budget each year from tax revenues and i am borrowing from the Government, some of which i have to pay back. There is a set budget given to Universities each year for them to decide how to subsidise each course. I don't get what you mean by me having to pay "triple" the services... Without CSP and HECS there is no way people can go to Universities so freely; it would drastically diminish tertiary educated citizens per capita.

Wouldn't they want to deliver new content aka expansion packs quicker?? More sales = more profit.

WoW and D3 are separate divisions.

But yes i agree there needs to be some kind of incentives for Blizzard to continue developing D3.. Although the lack of RMAH didn't stop development of D1, D2, SC1, SC2 and their respective expansions.
