I never expected something for nothing, just pointed out the disparity between gold vs item fees.. Once again another dude who is putting words in my mouth. MS1 reporting in at reputable US school and I think you're a douche for showing off what you're doing and putting these people down (yes I've been keeping up with all 9 pages). I don't know if you are even in the field or not, but what I do know for sure is that we didn't enter this field to act like jackasses towards patients who potentially look up to us.

In terms of your OP, yes the fee is way too high but what can you do? It's free money after all. As for getting around it, you don't have much options because the china men are charging like 20 cents less per mill to compensate the cut.

Lol there were plenty of people on this thread that agreed that the tax was too high. And once again i have to reiterate i'm fine with the tax; the point of this thread was to highlight the difference bwtween item and gold fees.

I don't see you jumping on anyone who agreed with me. The fact is you failed to understand how other people might have problems with 27.75% compared go 15% + $1. So what? I wasn't aware of that blizzard/paypal each taxed 15%. I was merely pointing out the high gold fees and asking how if at all it could be avoided to maximise profits when you guys somehow turned this thread into moral dilemma troll fest.

Seriously i could understand if i complained about my tax going to charity. But this is billion dollar companies like blizz and paypal we are talking about. Who we know are really greedy/money hungry. They are making hugh multi million dollar profits off the rmah; yet your problem is me trying to save a couple of bucks to maximise my profits..

I wasn't implying i was better than everyone when i first said i goto med school. It was a response to some dude saying my life must be blissful. Then i get all these trolls talking about my med degree which i assume is from jealousy because me bragging only came after i got agitated by trolls.

yes there is an initial 15% fee and then a cash out fee of 15%. However if you understand math it is actually two transactions of 15% so it actually only ends up being 27.75% taken from you.
100*0.85=85*0.85=72.25 that 72.25% is yours to keep. All i got to say is Blizzard has to make money to...be glad they took it this way or that they didnt decide to take more from you.

Botting actually takes effort you know?? It takes many hours for me to set it up, make it run efficiently, troubleshoot problems, list items online etc You also need to buy the bot, buy more D3 keys, pay $10 to get good CIGGARC profiles, buy isboxer, invest in a better computer, pay electricity bill from running your comp 24/7 etc.

From an microeconomics stand point; there are both implicit and explicit costs involved in botting. You are naive if you think botters do nothing.

It's like a part-time job Saying we do nothing is a gross oversimplification and a hyperbole.

Ofc we have a reason to complain, we want to maximise our revenues so that we can cover our initial sunk costs + opportunity costs and make even more money.
