Selling Gold so high Transfer fee -.-

So i sold 126 million on the RMAH; and i set it to go to paypal. for items it only costs me $1 but with GOLD what the fuck it cost me over $11 !!!

This is eating away all my profits! From $86. $24 is taken away by those greedy bastards.

Any idea why selling gold has a higher transfer fee and how to avoid it?

Botting actually takes effort you know?? It takes many hours for me to set it up, make it run efficiently, troubleshoot problems, list items online etc You also need to buy the bot, buy more D3 keys, pay $10 to get good CIGGARC profiles, buy isboxer, invest in a better computer, pay electricity bill from running your comp 24/7 etc.

From an microeconomics stand point; there are both implicit and explicit costs involved in botting. You are naive if you think botters do nothing.

It's like a part-time job :P Saying we do nothing is a gross oversimplification and a hyperbole.

Ofc we have a reason to complain, we want to maximise our revenues so that we can cover our initial sunk costs + opportunity costs and make even more money.

Botting is not free, it costs money.

It clearly states that there's two 15% fees for selling gold and sending to paypal. Not exactly rocket science.

You could try buying the best gems, socketing weapons, and soliciting people to buy them (as gems are the same 15%+15% fee but weapons are only $1 + 15%). Or a crappy chest piece with 3 sockets would be the best value.

That's probably bannable anyways, so just suck it up. The black market price is basically the net earnings after fees from the RMAH anyways.

I know 30% is fucking rediculous fee that they take... but without the RMAH i wouldnt have made any money at all from a GAME!

So im gonna stick with being happy that im making money made like 330 Euro in the past 2 weeks from 3x bots

and thats from selling gold, i tried selling the items but they just arent fucking selling on rmah

When you select your payment method (paypal) it shows up stating a 15% Transfer Fee and a $1 Transaction Fee.

For Commodities (gems, materials, dyes, pages, recipes, and other non-unique items)

Transaction Fee (Gold Auction House): 15% of final sale price
Transaction Fee (Real-Money Auction House): 15% of final sale price
Transfer Fee (when sending proceeds to PayPal or other authorized payment-service provider): 15% of amount being transferred

Put ebay auctions, local ads or advertise on gaming forums for a price slightly cheaper than AH, it should sell...

They should at least bridge the gap between the two. Like reduce the % fee to 5% instead of 15%.

Selling gold is way more costly than equipment atm...

Kinda redicouless that paypal takes 15% and blizz takes 15% , i can only say fuck blizz, but good idea for them cuz they earn shitloads of extra money on that damn auction house, but anyways keep up the good work by earning money on the RMAH guys :-D
