Studio, you can clear any content on normal 25, then swap to heroic to kill the last boss.

i do it weekly on ICC and Ulduar to make clearing faster :P

That is really raid dependent and not true for Cataclysm raids. When you do for example one boss on normal in Firelands, then the Ragnaros room is empty (no boss) on heroic difficulty. Same thing goes for Madness of Deathwing in Dragon Soul. I confirmed this during development, when I lacked the gear to HC some bosses, but still wanted to test the profile for the end boss on HC. Wasted quite a few lockouts with this by accident.

And ICC has been changed quite a lot of times too, so I am not really sure how it works now. I know that switching between raid sizes is at least very buggy or does not work at all anymore. It would have to check it out myself, because in every forum thread about it, there are half a dozen opinions floating around.

What you are saying about Ulduar is definitely wrong, because Ulduar does not even have a heroic setting. The hardmodes (or heroic modes) in Ulduar are activated by doing something special in boss encounters. So Yogg-Saron 25 HC is actually Yogg-Saron 25 N without watchers. You can not just flip a switch to do that raid in heroic mode.

ya idk what i was smoking for Ulduar.

anyways I do ICC on 25M normal, up to var, then i swap to 25m Heroic.

Hey Studio great profiles, but I ran into one issue with Shannox. My 701 frost DK died 5 times before killing him due to the 30 second stun, would it be possible for your profile to make DK switch to blood presence just for this fight? I don't even know if it would help, going to try to setup singular to use blood before engaging him after the reset. Almost forgot, its 25m heroic.

I have an active task for things like talent selection and specialization selection in my to-do list. I feel this would be even more beneficial once Legion is released, because by then we will have all specs available to all classes. But it will be a little while until I can implement it.

Right now I am putting the framework for my Pet Battle Studio into Studio Companion and once that is live, I will go back and overhaul all my profiles to get them ready for legion. This will then include boss selection and talent / specialization selection. Right now I need to finish the framework first, so I can gather up some beta testers that are into pet battles. Once they are testing, I will do the raid updates in parallel and Cataclysm raids are first on that list.

I was afk when it happened, but my hunter has been stuck on chimaeron, When looking at my logs, it hasn't been getting the buff from finkle and proceeded to die several times. I just stopped running the bot, because I was afk. What might the issue be?

Cant kill Shanox with rogue pvp gear 700 ilvl, singular cr, hes being traped(in all specs).

EDIT:
I found a way, needed to change some talents (aoe throw lv 90)

I can honestly say, this is a great piece of work, i used it on trial on several chars and I am going to buy it next week ;)

Shadow Reflection (lvl 100 talent) is another way to survive at least the first stun. The bot will automatically use it shortly before it gets hit by the stun and the reflection will then free you.

Hello. I wanted to say that spine of deathwing takes unreasonable amount of time for druid. All my druid does is spamming moonfire (even if he is feral or guardian) which sometimes even makes it impossible to beat the boss

I would like to refer you to the FAQ and suggest, that you spec into "Lunar Inspiration" (which you probably have not done yet). Afterwards those cataclysm raids will work a lot better for feral and guardian druids. There is also an FAQ section in Studio Companion where you often can find useful information when you struggle with a raid. Just like the spec change you asked for in the other thread, I want to add a talent selection feature in due time, so you don't have to deal with this yourselves anymore.

Sorry but guardian doesn't have such talent. Though guardian spec has much better ability Faerie Fire which is surprisingly not used in that fight at all. Also I didn't quite understand why feral uses only moonfire not shred/rake/bite or any other single target abilities in that fight

//Edit: Sorry if I seem to be rude. I don't mean it. I just think that usually the best solution is the easiest one

thank you for this ! In a single weekly lockout over 3 characters I had Smoldering Egg of Millagazor droping twice and Mimiron's Head from Ulduar dropping once.
And that's just crazy considering these mounts have a 1% drop chance

Good morning to you!

I have to say that nothing about the horror that is the Spine of Deathwing fight is easy. This fight is one of the reasons why my Dragon Soul profile is (to my knowledge) the only full clear profile available for this raid. And I lost quite a few hairs on my head designing this thing. :-) With this encounter, aiming for fast kill speed was not an option. The primary design goal is to get it to work. And I did the initial development with rogues and a feral druids, so those are really tested well. Another challenge in developing raid profiles is that you get one kill per character and per week. You have no idea how many times I frantically stopped the bot to jump off the back, because I needed to avoid the kill. Then I had to run back and start all over. With code changes I could get in 2-3 attempts an hour after the base code was complete.

The challenge with Spine of Deathwing is the movement rhythm. If you don't constantly move back and forth, you get thrown off the back. No combat routine (especially not Singular) was honoring the fact that I disabled certain capabilities to get it to stay in the two spots next to the wall. I don't know if you have regularly done the Spine fight manually, but most players are not even able to it by themselves. I myself, who spent over 100 hours designing that single encounter, have a tough time doing it manually, because it is such an annoying encounter. What I had to do is to disable the combat routine completely (because not doing it would always break the fight) and create my own mini-version with limited abilities. You can probably understand that it is not reasonable to create a complete combat routine for 2-3 custom encounters in a profile pack for all 11 classes. From that perspective, it is indeed reasonable that this fight takes a bit longer. The script tries to play it safe. :-)

If you are one of the very few people that can do this encounter manually, then you can probably also do it faster.
For the other great majority this thing seems to work quite very well, because it is a tossup between a 7-10 minute fight and not killing it the boss at all. ;-)

I added things like moonfire/wrath to melee druids, because there was a strong possibility of them being thrown off if they moved into melee range of one of the Corruptions to kill them. The movement rhythm to keep them alive would have been broken. The following list contains the skills that a melee druids use. Of course they are all tied to certain conditions like current health, current number of bloods alive, buffs etc. I always use the high damage attacks against the tendons so we can get them killed with the limited amount of attacks available once Deathwing pops the hood.

Feral Druid: Healing Touch, Swipe (with too many bloods alive), Rejuvenation, Cat Form, Ferocious Bite, Shred, Moonfire, normal Moonfire, Wrath.
Guardian Druid: Frenzied Regeneration, Rejuvenation, Bear Form, Mangle, Lacerate, Moonfire, Wrath

You are right in that Guardian druids do not use Faerie Fire and don't have Lunar Inspiration. I will see to it that I add Faerie Fire when I do my profile overhaul, where I also add the stat and talent switches.

If you feel the bot is not using one of the skills I have listed for you here, then I would need to see a log (Guide: How to Attach your Log).

Wow that is so cool. It went pretty quickly. Congratulations. You are more lucky than me. I ran those raids so many times during development, but Mimiron's Head is still eluding me. I am happy for you.

Amazing plugin!

Was just wondering what ilvl should my frost DK have to be able to kill Ultraxion? I'm currently 665 and can't kill it.

Worked with a potion killed it without issues

I can't really say what item level you need for which encounter, but maybe you could try something as simple as popping a flask? At times that is enough to give you that little push you need to beat an encounter.

The potion helped a lot actually!
At the spine of deathwing will the plugin switch to your DK CR?
Saw in the FAQ something about it

I'm having some issues at Darnassus its getting stuck at the portal.

How is the bot supposed to kill Shannox in Firelands? the toon gets impaled and dies.

I will look into the Darnassus travel issue. I guess most people don't travel through there these days. If you unlock the Hyjal Portal (takes only two quests starting in Stormwind at the bulletin board) you can get there that much faster.

And if you don't have the DPS to kill Rageface before he casts Facerage, then I would suggest running the raid maybe as blood DK. Facerage is not used against characters in a tank spec. I want to implement a way to let the bot choose your spec in the future (since all specs are available to each character in Legion), but that will take a while. The bot does try to summon the Gargoyle or the Army of the Dead for Deathknights, but Singular spends most resources so the bot can't pool enough to actually cast the Army. I should maybe consider using the Army on Pull. It might last long enough until the first Facerage.
