[PAID] [Priest] Insanity - An Advanced Honorbuddy Shadow Priest Routine [PvE/PvP]

Ye.. just tested the profile once again in mythic.. at its current stage.. its pretty much trash, with this rotation.

The rotation isn't 'trash'. Someone discovering a slightly different way to handle the DoT weave rotation, doesn't make the current rotation obsolete, it's just not going to be 95th percentile parses.

That being said, the new rotation is sitting waiting for approval from the buddy team.

Great news :D
Love your work Millz <3

I should just be doing the quick load of PvE right? I'm not really sure what settings I should be using, currently 660ilvl but any settings suggestions would be great. I've tweaked some, but im sure it could be better some how.

Hi Millz, it's not even in the 50th percentile IMO.

It's being cast on off-targets correctly. Doesn't care if the target is focus or not, it just looks at all/any units that aren't the current target.

I'll get this fixed. Thanks for the report.

It uses Mind Spike depending on what CoP rotation you're using.

MD isn't cast to dispel HoTs. I'll add that to my to-do list. MD can't silence people ?

Thanks, I'll try and take a look at this today. The whole DoT weaving stuff is a nightmare to code.

No I didn't mean MD for silence. Silence itself for me isn't be casted on healers when they are casting. Not that big of deal I just do it myself. Would be great if it worked on healers around me that I can't see.

I know MD shouldn't be used on HoTs but it could use Dispel Magic over MD. It has never casted DM to take off like regrowth or anything of that sort. Would be a nice thing to add.

MD wasn't working when I was standing next to mages with them having Ice Block up or even shields. I do have it checked marked just no idea why :/

Also what would you use for PvP rotation? I tried all three and it changes from one bg to another. Sometimes X is better than Y. So for RBGs team fight scenarios what Rotation do you think should work better and how would you use it to work correctly they way you made it?

Is a different one better for Single target damage if say I need to go after the FC?

Hello Millz, how are you?

Well, i come to report that when testing the routine today i saw that Power Word: Shield still being used when moving, even if you dont check the box in CR settings.
Also, when 2 secs left to you recast the skill (Power Word: shield) the CR tries to cast it (in cooldown yet) and you toon looks like crazy.

can you check it please?

Well, i can tell you its <55% percentile avg. on mythic atm. with 670+ gear, which is pretty damn bad.
However, i hope you realise this is nothing personal, i'm just a bit dissapointed about the product.

Not sure what you've got the priority set for once the target reaches 20%, but even using the DoTweave rotation once the target reaches 20% it is no longer worthwhile to use the GCDs and cast time on dots. For single target dotless is so much better that you should spike off dots if you've foolishly timed them to not expire before execute range. For multi-target, dotting anything that won't die before dots run their course is an increase over MFI, but not SW: D, MB, or DP. So priority at <20% with CoP is SW: D, MB, DP and Insanity filler. Just in case you didn't know and this wasn't how the routine was handling it just trying to help make this routine the best it can be.

The main setting to be interested in is the CoP one (if talented for CoP) to select the rotation to use.

..and you're both using the dot weave rotation? Log files would help to see what's going on.

Ah I see. I'll need a log file for silence/dispel magic issue. DM isn't looking at HoTs, but agree it would be good to have. Will add that in.

For PvP the CoP Lite rotation is probably the best imo. Easier to have spread damage. CoP standard is faster burst and less ramp up time though.

I was trying dot weave out on heroic imp last night as well. The problem isn't necessarily within the rotation as far as I can tell (yes there is a higher dot weave rotation out there), it's more just that the bot can't anticipate future movement so the dot weave rotatation may not be optimal in certain fights when botting the rotation (assuming y'all have thought of that obv). I've been using the CoP Standard build and am pulling > 80th percentile for my gear.

I'll go ahead and run a quick butcher LFR and report back with logs and dps numbers from both CoP Standard and CoP Dot Weave

Edit:

652 ilvl (9% Crit, 16% Haste, 40% Mastery, 21% Multistrike) CoP Std Rotation with PI & Halo = 23.8k over 2 min 19 seconds (double pot)

652 ilvl (9% Crit, 16% Haste, 40% Mastery, 21% Multistrike) CoP Dot Weave Rotation with PI & Halo = 25.3k over 2 min 25 seconds (single pot)

It would appear the new Dot Weave rotation has been implemented and is dead on (same as SimCraft has me, obv more uptime on hero but I was lagging a bit regardless, also didn't double pot the second time like I did the first...).
