How do you all determine what you are going to price something as either on gah or rmah? Other than trying to search ah for similar items and pricing based on that. Just trying to figure out the best and quickest way to price my items.

basicaly you said it search for similar items on the ah. I normaly price pretty = to what i see on the ah. if it comes back then i knock off 10%. till it sells.

was wondering if anyone had a way to base prices off the item score you get off like gilesstashreplacer. Was hoping there was an easier way than what I was doing it heh. Thanks for the reply

I start by identifying the item.

I proceed to determine the usability of the item.

I evaluate the stats on the item.

I pick a random number between 1 and 5. (For some reason it comes up 4 more often than any other number.)

I apply that number to the 3rd spot of the price of the item.

I consult my magic 8 ball. If the magic 8 ball says anything other than 'Outlook is good', I immediately vendor the item regardless of its stats. (Always trust the magic 8ball)

I pick a number between 1 and 10. (Again, it seems to be 4 really often, so strange)

I apply that number to the 2nd spot in the price of the item.

I check the current price of gold. If gold is still selling for .25/100k, I put 25 at the end of the price of the item.

I now have the last 4 spots of the price of the item and the item has passed 8 ball test.

I go outside.

I visit the park down the street.

I count the number of people in the park, I divide this number by 2.

I put that number as the first two digits on the price of the item, giving me 6 digits of the price.

I roll a 43 sided di.

If the di comes up under 25, I put 1 in the first digit of the sale price. If it comes up over 25, I put 6 in the first digit of the sale price.

I now have a sale price for the item between 1 and 6 million gold, netting me pure profit on every item every time in huge lump sums.

(Obviously everyone checks the AH for comparable items and prices accordingly.)

I've found pricing items is a huge waste of time and effort. I just put a 100k starting bid and if its worth anything, people will bid one it and it will sell.

This method is okay if you're not going through large inventory of items daily. Personally I have never bought any item that is won by bidding. Low-end / Mid items are simply not worth it for majority to put time in to bid on.

If I want to sell an item. I search by the 3 affixs and price 25 - 50% below what the minimum buy out of items that are similar to what I am trying to sell.

I find it better to let the item go for 3/4 or 1/2 of the market value rather than holding onto it for days trying to sell it for its market value.

if ur dealing with a high end item i always put 100 starting bid n let the noobs go crazy. it will sell for a good price for both parties. on the mid range items i always just put a buyout thats fair.
