Possible Ban Hammer on the way ... heads up to other buddies

ONly because they write "whatever" into their EULA or TOS doesn't make it right.

In the EU they just ruled that you are allowed to re-SELL a game. Im pretty sure the Bizzare TOS/EULA states that this is not allowed.

it doesn't matter what the state or country laws are. If the company says you are not allowed to resell an account then you can not. Blizzard doesn't say you can't sell the wow CDs. You just cant sell your account.

Blizzard can and will ban you for whatever you want. We do not own these accounts. We pay a monthly renters fee and if the owners ( Blizzard ) want to deactivate the account they can without notice.

EULAs do not replace law. You purchased a product while they can deny service for violating the TOS they would be crossing the legal line if they did it for no reason at all. Simple fact is they need a reason they can however say any reason they want because no one here is gonna sue them over it.

Your simply wrong. When you check "I agree" you give them all the legal rights you would have. That contact you agree to overrides any "standard law", if there is any reguarding selling or using "hacks" on games. To put it more simply, EULAs/TOS override law.

yes which is total bull

ive said this b4, but its really totally bullshit if a "real" innocent person got banned from trading from a botting account a few times, and he had no knowledge..

They Should require proof, but thats Bli$$ard for ya

When they had their meeting and created this TOS it was probably something like:

"hey we need a way to ban botters if their accounts look like they are botting but got no proof and any accounts associated with them"

"what if the associated non botter gets caught in the middle"?

"oh well ban them so they can buy new accounts and make us more money!"

"oh yeh great idea!!... its settled"

Even though they "Can" ban people for w/e they want they don't. Your getting banned for a reason. Innocent people don't get banned lol

Maybe in the US but not in the EU you can sell your account. The law says that blizzard loses all rights to the accounts once the serial key is sold. and that you own the account attached to that key and you can resell the account with out fear of being banned. Your home land law isnt the only law around.

Come on dude.. all these "what ifs" lol You remind me of the ***** heads getting caught on the Cops show. " Its not mine! Someone put it there!" lol You bot, you get banned sooner or later. Happens to everyone.

Did you read what I said b4 you replied?

I said Im not innocent,

These people can be banned if they had nothing to do with botting like a guy's room mate in this forum mentioned already

You can sell your account, they can still seize it on account of u selling the characters that still belong to them.
I guess if you referenced the law you could get the account back emptied of items gold and characters :)

Again re-read my post
Person's friend got banned and he had nothing to do with botting and he was an innocent bystander

luckily for me i just bought 4 cdkeys from walmart 3 days ago, took them back and told them they were all registered previously. So they gave me new ones :)

Still dont know if I am up for rebuilding my heard.

i dont think u understand the meaning of "MAIN" you can only have 1 MAIN!

SO even if you dont bot on an account they just ban you if its being used on the same IP?

Lol thats so dumb from them

I know we are guilty here , but what if my friend regurlay comes over and plays on his account.... What he gets banned to ?
How did you jump to that conclusion from the ban reports I read prior to your post it shows a pattern of people offloading their botted gold onto their mains and shortly thereafter the mains getting banned. Nothing to do with IP so far...

Well Im wondering if they just ban any accounts weather bot or not within the same IP

because lots of guys here have had their mains banned that havent done any botting. Yes they probably traded their gold from the bot to the main

My point is how can blizzard be so blunt and just assume that the main is a bot as well?

he could be your friend or mine just coming over and playing the game together... just like someones brother that got banned in another thread, and his bro had nothing to do with botting at all

So far, Blizzard has been successful in banning bots and their main accounts, because if they weren't..... you would see their official forums flooded with complaints from "real" innocent players getting banned.

Yeah I don't buy the "innocent" card. If you play on a computer that you know has a bot on it your not innocent. Also, if it's your friend botting and you get banned because you LAN party or something i'm sure you have benefited one way or another from his bot. Gold, mats ect ect No one is innocent lol

And BTW, banning an IP does not ban your account. The ONLY way Blizzard is going to ban the account is if you logged on with the bot running. I have had my IP banned but my accounts were fine. I just called Comcast and had my IP changed and was able to log back in.

Addressing in bold, So they claim and well they aren't . They are just banning the mains because they traded massive gold from an account where-in characters exhibit non-human playing patterns. Essentially banning them both under the assumption its the same individual.
As for your earlier opinion on Blizzard being able to ban for whatever reason even though I can see why its put in place, I agree it is grossly unethical.

Botting is unethical so it looks liek both parties are in the wrong. Guess that makes it right.

What im trying to say is, they can ban a person, that is friends with a botter, that has traded gold, and the person had no idea that they were botting

You know how stupid you sound ? NO contract no matter agreed to or not can CHANGE a LAW its like saying i signed a contract to sell drugs so you cannot arrest me for it. How ignorant are you that you even think a EULA/TOS overrides civil or criminal law ? Denying your right to use a product you purchased without reason is not legal and would never be done it would open them up to lawsuits. Just stop while you're behind its obvious you have no fucking clue how the real world works just saying EULA overrides laws shows how stupid you're. In fact the EULA says you cannot be involved in a class action lawsuit against blizzard yet that is not the case at all. The EULA/TOS are not worth the paper they don't print them on any of you who think they would stand up in court are a fool.
