i have been banned 3 times in a row, with 3 different chars and all just for Proffesionbuddys AH Stuff !!!

these accounts were botting since 3 month now and the 72h suspension hit only the AH related chars

When i got 3 World of Warcraft account in one Battle.net account, and i use one WoW account fro botting and its got banned. The whole get banned ? Sry for my English.

if you have wow1 wow2 wow3 all in one account. if u only bot in WoW1 then only wow1 will be banned. WoW2 and wow3 will be safe

This may be generically true, but when I got caught in the Pirox Archaeology ban (yay for speed hacks ... ) even though I had a "WoW1" account (it was named and was the account I botted on) my WoW2 was also banned. Perma, no warning, multiple failed appeals.

1. Gathering and its related activities such as AH sale of mats.
2. Grinding, if you use it exclusively for leveling, without any questing or the occasional LFD.
3. Battlegrounds. About 3 out of 4 players these days are bots, and everyone knows what bots look and feel like.
4. Dungeonbuddy, if left AFK.
5. Questing. We are starting to see slight increases in questing related ban reports. Probably the result of the work of bot hunters, as thanks to CRZ they can now operate in multiple realms at the same time.

I'd have to go with auctioneer bots, any bot that auctions off after farming kinda flags itself. Especially when it does it for a couple of days straight. Doing something off like farming should not automatically go to the auction house since that will trip sensors especially if you go back to it. My buddy did the whole shabang when he got HB and he got banned after 2 days of botting non stop. I've been using HB for years and I have never been caught suspended warned or banned... Just saying, if you wanna make gold spread your farming resource to other alts but ones at about the same level with close professions so it looks like your sending yourself materials for that profession.

I have been banned for:
making characters on another relam to harass someone from an lfr. 2 times. just a 3 hour
making a prostitution guild on Moonguard. 3 hour plus guild disbanding
but the only time i have evr been banned for botting was from quest botting, im sure of that. It was running fine, I went to get some food from downthe street and come back to a 3 day ban.

I think pvp and questing is the worst. so many people see you. I dont think grinding is that bad because for me the things i grind can be skinned so if anyone comes buy me they just skin and leave lol.

That being said botting is always risky. Bot with a brain people.

yeah thats true.. you cant figure out if not inspected like i was by a damn mage , he wisperd and said i look suspicios and i said stfu i need my motes... so baby sitting ure bot minimize the risk of getting caught but still even if he reported me i can say , cba talking too strangers while grinding

Grinding for sure, been grinding since Friday untill now. Checked my account on my work and i got a 72 hours ban. Great, this evening will suck.

To all those saying grinding is asking for getting banned, well, from my personal experience i must disagree.
Most bans lately are because of GB2 so ofc that IS atm asking for the banhammer.

None of my grinders have been banned so far, and I dont babysit those and I dont relog those. Each day 12h straight.

Well, maybe that may be asking for a ban, atleast those chars never been touched. Whereas my main account which I 4 chars to 85/90 myself before using Kicks on it got banned while babysitting it.

Voted for GB2 and 3rd party automating software.

Account one got banned for 72 hours when I was montioring it, just switched it to ore-only. Might have triggered something, lol.

Account two had not been in-game for 24 hours ~. Only checked it a few times to see if I was banned or not. When I came back tonight I was perma banned. Appealed it and it's a 72 hour ban now.

What do you guys suggest to do with these accounts? I'm think i'm going to wait till this GB2 banning shit is over and then bot the crap out of them.

I think noone can say that for sure.
I received a ban of 7/9 accounts - 2of this 7 were never related into any bot-stuff and received also a ban.
Why?
Because they were all under the same name. (The 2 left had a different name and were botting - same IP and so on)

Only 3% for questing ? Seems too low. I mean questing profiles are bugged and always leads you to be stuck in a tree/house in a leveling zone so many people will see you and report you ofc (how many times i have seen someone running in circle in BB...). GB2 shouldn't be that high because you can switch of profiles a lot and so people won't report you.

It should be, for me, like that:

PvP: ++++ (a lot of interactivity with other players)
Instance: +++ (bug, stuck while 4 other real players watching you ? bad idea)
Grinding: +++ (so obvious why...)
Questing: ++
GB: +
Archeo: -
