Yeah, mine's doing exactly what manta's is doing. It works, but it also gives that weird fail error msg all the time.

Using the "default" device info of Nox is bad, gonna get you ban.

So just use the same "fake" info both place.
It says Last network request failed. (pokemon server issue) trying again. but it does still catch pokemon and loot pokestops.
For some reason it's not letting me install Xposed's framework on nox... It's asking me to download a .zip and then flash it, no clue how to do that flash part though.
