Pokefarmer - Update Thread

I've been using it for a while and it loots the pokestops, only had a few of the reconnecting errors but restart/kill session fixes that. How often does it catch Pokemon though? Seems like mine is not catching/seeing many and there are tons of stops around.

mines been catching pretty well, where doy uo have ur bot positioned? i placed mine in philly currently. lots of pokemon/pokestops.
 
IT WORKED!!!! (but only for about 30 min)

Worked awesome for about 30 min then...

Session expired. Relogging.
Session expired. Relogging.
Session expired. Relogging.

And then I suddenly realized... it is probably not a good time to be jump in using anyone's new bot version right now. Niantic is PO'd at the bot users and the company just got blessed with a clean slate. If there is ever a time that Niantic would make examples out of people, that time would be now.

Let's see, there's the olympics, overwatch and I just remembered that I never finished Witcher 3. I'll check back with everyone in a week and see how it's going!

whats up wit all the CP(0) IV(0) pokemon?

a much needed feature is ignoring Pidgeys and Rattatas
 
Session expired work-around

Hello all,
I was having the same issue with the aforementioned symptoms session: expired persisting through a reboot, not accepting pokefarm authorization key, etc. I believe the application itself may have some instability. As such, my work around revolves around backing up your configured pokefarm folder, and then restoring it when the issue arises. Not sure if it has something to do with running multiple bots behind the same router.

  1. Basically, when the issue arises, delete the extracted pokefarmer folder.
  2. You can then reboot or disable your network adapter for 10 seconds to clear all sessions.
  3. Extract a new copy of pokefarmer from the zip.
  4. Configure the logic settings as desired and then start the bot. It should ask for and accept your authorization key and pokemongo credentials. Run the bot a few minutes and then stop it.
  5. Copy this configured pokefarmer folder and it is now your backup.


When the issue occures again, you will need to stop the network connection or reboot, and then delete your pokefarmer folder and restore the backup folder. You shouldn't have to reenter your key, credentials, or configuration logic.

This certainly doesn't fix the issue, but should save you time getting back up and running. I've used this once with success.

IV transfer doesn't work

It defaults back to CP transfer. Lost a few 90+IV pokemon because of it =(

IV = Individual Values

all pokemon have base stats but are born with IVs that slightly increase the base stats. The best IVs can increase a pokemon's base stats by up to 10%, as I understand it.

I get the same thing....Workaround for me = Stop Bot, Exit App, Login to Buddyauth (https://na.buddyauth.com/), kill your session, and then restart pokefarm....starts right back up...

Dont do this, Just log into buddy auth and kill the session.
You should be able to log right in after.

Do you have reason to believe this is a BuddyHonor application issue and not part of Niantic's security protection?
 
When I start Pokefarmer, It gives me an Authentication error and says I may have a wrong Auth Key. i add the Auth Key and then it says the same thing. I go back to the Auth Key and it's blank...

Put your key in a few times and it should go away.
