[Plugin] Mr.GearBuyer

Gonna try this out, got problems with anticap-plugin my toon arn away from the vendors after bg.

Usage

  1. Download the files
  2. Unzip the contents and place them into your Honorbuddy/Plugins folder. It should be something to the effect of: Honorbuddy\Plugins\MrGearBuyer\MrGearBuyer.cs and Honorbuddy\Plugins\MrGearBuyer\GUI
  3. Open WoW. Run HonorBuddy
  4. Click the Plugins button - http://i.imgur.com/YC6f6.png
  5. Select MrGearBuyer and make sure it's checked
  6. Click the "MrGearBuyer" button - http://i.imgur.com/lAgKd.png
  7. In WoW, open up a vendor window
  8. Click the "Fetch Vendor Items" button
  9. Select which items you want to have MrGearBuyer buy for you and click the "Add Selected Items to Buy List"
  10. You can also double click items to add/remove
  11. Start Honorbuddy with your favorite Instance/Mixed/BGBuddy profile


Important!!!!

  • You have to place your character relatively near to the vendor that it will be buying from. While I have seen it successfully fly to the pvp vendor from across a city, I've also seen it get stuck against the Great Wall of China in MoP

That's fine. It's just telling you that you haven't started Honorbuddy yet, so it needs to initialize itself. I'll update the text to be more informative.

If it won't open the options dialog, then make sure you have the GUI folder and all its contents next to the MrGearBuyer.cs file. If you have that, let me know and I'll try and work it out

I've installed it exactly as you instructed and I cannot get the options window to open, while I could get the options window from before to open. Maybe the old settings are interfering?
 
Ah, I hadn't even thought of old settings. Go into Honorbuddy/Settings and delete any MrGearBuyerSettings_XXXXX.xml files. Then try again. Hopefully we can get this solved for you.
 
[Mr.GearBuyer]: Honorbuddy hasn't started yet. Initialize myself

When I start a brand new version just downloaded + the new update + a second restart of HB + the 2.7.1 version
Thats the message i get when trying to enter MrGearBuyer, to set up the items he needs to buy


Cleared my catch and even my logs, this was the last try before this post, that I have uploaded.

Any idea, to my problem?

did a REAL update to 2.7

Added a new Feature, HomePoints. HomePoint allows you to set a location for your toon to idle at and prevents it from running off. if your toon needs to repair or buy gear, it will go do its thing and then come back to your Home Point.
 
is it possible to use this plugin to upgrade gear as well? or this requires further development?
 
Hello, does this plugin work for horde? I've followed the instructions exactly and it doesn't seem to be working.

I currently have 3200 honor points (which is more than enough to buy items from my wish list) + 10 items in my "wish list". It fetches items from the vendors fine, I have the plug-in enabled, and I'm right next to the vendor.

Am I doing something wrong? There are no errors or anything. It just doesn't work.

I have the newest version posted by RichieSams with the new HomePoint feature.
 
It trys so buy all the items from the list and remove them he thinks he bought all the items


is this just for me?
 
Doesn't work after you retstart HB once, nothing pops up on config screen and it doesn't do what u told it to buy earlier. Cleared prev settings, going back to 2.2 lol.
 
Hi CodenameG, i love this plugin so much it makes is super easy to gear a new pvp character. However ive been recently having a problem. I will put items on the list and then Mr Gearbuyer will remove them from the list giving the reason that the item has already been purchased. Heres the log.

thank you because of your log and description of the issue i was able to EASILY find the issue and get it resolved.

i uploaded version 2.8, Version 2.8 includes the new feature to Equip your gear after buying it, so a full set of armor can be bought and equipped as it goes. make sure you set your homepoint location again, as its been updated.


i did do testing with this version to make sure it works correctly, i set my home location to that room on the wall just south of the room where the vendors are in panderia, and it would get go walk to repair, then walk back to my home point. when it was ready to buy some gear it ran to go buy the gear, bought the gear, and equipped it, then ran back to my home point location. no longer do you have to equip your main pvp set manually, or be a slave to parking your toon next to the vendors.
 
for some reason i cant seem to open the config when i click on the button in the plugin window. i tried reinstalling the plugin and it doesnt work. any ideas?
