[Plugin] Giles World Object Handler

actually looks like db enhancements was killing all other plugins to load as well. So removed db enhancements and all other plugins I was using loaded. Just had to do an edit on the profile I was using so db enhancements wasnt needed for now

I don't have enhancement installed but it wouldn't work for me even with a clean install.

Can you clarify the "not working" part? Like... it doesn't appear in the plugin list? You get errors in your DB window? It installs but errors appear when you try to enable it? It enables but it doesn't do what it's meant to do while the bot is running? "not working" is about as vague as taking a car to a mechanics and saying "Fix!" :D
 
I make a run at the "core of Arreat" and my character just take the chests but do not get why the pile of bones?


Edit : sorry is version GilesWorldObjectHandler_v1.5.2.zip, 're doing it perfectly thanks

I am not sure what I did exactly but all my plugin showed up after I updated Giles stash replace (I don't think that's what fixed everything since all my plugins that had nothing to do with it showed up again as well) However I don't think its looting properly now so I will have to let it run for a few hours and see what happens.

If a single plugin isn't compiling, then no plugins will show up. What plugins are you using, exactly, can you list all plugins? I'm glad you have it working anyway - updating plugins should always be priority #1, and always keep them up-to-date - I would advise checking for updates to plugins daily, or at least every couple of days! If it's not looting "properly" then you should check your other plugins for updates too, and make sure they are also installed correctly - and I would recommend (ALWAYS) a fresh install of DemonBuddy into a new, empty folder - the upgrading process of DemonBuddy, or upgrading over an old DB folder, can cause problems.

I ask because I'm interested in running the latest versions of your plugins, just on .185 of DB since there are still a lot of kinks to be worked out in newer versions. I assume a lot of people are in a similar situation where they experiment with new versions of DB and then go back to the old ones for farming.

Usually they are fairly backwards compatible by at least a few versions (all current versions work with DB .180 and .185), but for example the next update for stash replacer is not going to be backwards compatible due to using the new block-chance and follower-item type stats...

But in my opinion you should upgrade to the latest DB - it finally fixes all of the memory/item mis-reads (at long last) and doesn't have any downsides as far as I can tell. Sure, the new dungeon exploring stuff is still buggy, but if you're running .185 then you aren't using a dungeon explore profile anyway so that won't affect you, so you'll have nothing to lose by upgrading to this new version.

Giles, I love your plugin, have used it very well, are'm here to tell you want something now because I realized I'm using the new profile, Core + Fields of Slaughter, in Fields of Slaughter's character does not get the chests of the field, you have any alternative to pick it?

You can increase the "container open range" - by default it only opens them if they get quite close. Chests should get a (slightly) increased range automatically. But I know I don't have all chests from all acts mapped out yet value-wise - I'm sure I'm still missing some chest SNO's from acts 2-4 (I did try and find as many as I could), so the kind of chest you are talking about might not be listed yet...

You can get me this data if you stand right next to the chest with the bot stopped and click "Dump Ractors" in the Info Dumping tab of demonBuddy and paste the output to me - this will give me the necessary SNO code of the chest so I can make sure it is added. Note that the "Dump Ractors" button is broke in the latest version of DB, so if you have the latest version you'll have to give me a screenshot of the chest and tell me where I can find it so I can try and get that data myself!

(though someone mentioned that if you use the very latest DB, you can avoid the dump ractors not working bug by opening an empty profile/routine in DB, starting the bot, then clicking Dump Ractors - I haven't tried this myself)
 
howdy folks. I have only been botting for the last couple weeks on an alt account and have a question/request... playing by hand on my main i notice that most of my set/legendaries come from breakables/chests. is there any way to get this plugin to open all instead of ignoring most?. i am currently using v1.5.2 with the ignore box un ticked and with open container range set to max 30. could it be that most of the breakables are hard set to ignore/blacklist? and if so, how could i change it?

You should add SNO- 81424 to listObjectSNOContainerResplendant, it's the resplendant chest inside the watch tower (act 1) which the bot currently skips.

I'm running, warriors rest. The problem i'm having is that it doesn't click on the shrine before it starts atking all the mobs in there. it clicks on the shrine after all the mobs are killed. destroying the fact that i miss out on mf shrines and such

That is just how DemonBuddy works. It prioritizes combat over any object use/loot picking. It'd require some changes to the way the core behavior trees for combat are decided to allow it to do these "non-combat things" in combat, or adding the clicking of shrines into a combat routine.

All that appears is a white box that is empty, and without being able to disable loot filtering my character picks up all these whites and such (I use stash replacer, monster priority, unidentify, and unstuck 1.8 for inferno champion runs) and trying to use this but I just can't seem to get it to work for me. Any suggestions on how to get config to show?

Hi, that's a sure sign that you've installed it to the wrong folder, or named the folder wrong, or have gone 2-folders-deep in the install :)

You should have;
\DemonBuddy\Plugins\GilesWorldObjectHandler\GilesWorldObjectHandler.cs
\DemonBuddy\Plugins\GilesWorldObjectHandler\GilesWorldObjectHandler.xaml

If you have installed it properly (check the install instructions on post #1).

NOT;

\DemonBuddy\Plugins\GilesWorldObjectHandler\GilesWorldObjectHandler\GilesWorldObjectHandler.cs
And NOT;
\DemonBuddy\Plugins\GilesWorldObjectHandler_v1.6\GilesWorldObjectHandler.cs
