[Plugin] Giles Combat Replacer

Try download the slightly altered "blank combat routine" again (delete the other one) for your routines folder - I removed an exclamation mark and a hyphen from the name which might have been causing issues with command-line loaders.

hey Giles ! is it better for WW Barb to use dual wield ? This way i can get more LOH and crit damage than using a shield.
 
Looking good so far when you remember its really new. The real problem is the lagg, I just watched my char dieing 2 times in act 1 even when its normally capable of botting act 2 ( with a few deaths). But when it encounters arcane+descrator+ random mobs then it can sometimes freeze for 10 seconds which sometimes kills my character.

My WW barb uses DW because of 15% atk speed + greater life on hit....

Running this plugin on my monk i can see a huge boost in his attack speed, so much that i didnt even think he could attack that fast (feels like hax). But i have noticed a slight bug, when you kill an elite pack and there are a group of ranged attacking, the bot will run away (im assuming to loose the adds) and will not loot items on the ground. This only seems to happen to me when there is a rare pack with a group of normal ranged mobs.

also to make up for the lack of thunderclap rune i switched to lightning flash with mantra of evasion runed for backlash, My overall dodge goes up to 60% with a 60% weapon dmg aoe so mobs drop faster. I feel this is a nice alternitive to thunderclap, Defensive and offensive

Great plugin!

Sprint currently is still not being used as often out of combat. There are many situations where the bot has been out of combat for 5-10 seconds and sits at almost full rage but walks around instead of sprinting.
Please consider adding leap for movement as well, this is a great movement increase and also an out of combat rage generator for more sprints.

Testing MoE with Backlash, and FOT + Lightning Flash, and i think it is a strong contender... You loose the ability to hop around as easy but you gain some more avoidance and a bunch of aoe dps. I am going to switch seven sided strike for Tempest Rush so i have a gap closer and get back to you... Currently at 20K dps, and 60% dodge i mow down elite packs with Electric, horde, and Fire chains (because Electric and firechains hit fast but can be dodged) And an added benefit to having high dodge is not having to fear getting cc'ed life frozen or fear (if you rely heavily on LoH like i do) Because both are dodgable

I only have 38% crit hit and 140% crit damage but I have to try this configuration :)


giles what weapon were you using in that video?
 
Just an idea to have a work around to thunderclap run for monks, have a box in settings for thunderclap (at least untill they have this feature covered in DB core) This could be a temp bandaid untill it gets fixed.
 
This combat plugin and the avoidance routine of Belphegor would make a sweet lovechild sexier than jessica alba. If anyone has any clue how to combine the two in the current versions, please do tell me! I don't think the avoidance in gilesplugin is working at all, not with arcane beams anyway! It dodges wasp stings though =P
 
New version working fine, except the lag seems worse :(
Fighting is so much better, logic for running away from small mobs is far superior to either of the other routines.

Yes increased lag is one symptom of it - I tried to minimize it but a lot of it is caused by the way DemonBuddy handles certain calls to variables held for monsters, items, objects etc. currently being very very slow - BUT - the next update to DemonBuddy should fix that almost entirely - we're all waiting with baited breath for it to see how it fares!

I've noticed this with every single combat routine I've tried. We really need DemonBuddy to prioritize looting over attacking normal monsters, since they basically do no damage whatsoever to a properly geared melee.

Every time I see a pack die, and a legendary laying on the ground, and then my guy runs/leaps away to fight a spear thrower, I cringe.

Also I assume the min stack size to pickup currently controlled in World Object handler will be moved to another plugin of yours, or incorporated into the combat routine ?

If you want to use it with DBrelogger what should you write in Combat Routine section ? because Giles Routine For Use With Plugin does not work.

You mean Kane's Relogger? if you do then, yes, all his plugins work with this still.
 
working great on my barb so far , but I notice when using spirit with marathon rune . When not in combat and running around , Instead of using spirit once till it expire and using it again . it spam till fury run's out and end's up without the buff.

Oh! Yes that's me being very silly with out of combat buffs, I'll fix that next release, thanks for the spot!

Next release might take a little longer though as I want to include Wizards (at least initial support for them) next build - so maybe tomorrow night or earlier, depending! (I'm getting people in IRC to help talk me through wizard builds and skill uses atm, since I have no wizards myself to test with or experience in).
