[Pet] Hyacinth Macaw Farm by fonzy

Are people having any luck selling these? For how much?

I've seen ~5 in all my years of playing, all on the Auction House, usually listed for 50,000g+. They eventually disappear, leading me to believe they're being sold, but I can't be sure.
 
Lol just curious what server are you on? On my server I saw one go for 10k and it was gone I believe. Also it's a locked server too.
 
Pretty solid profile to grind 40-45ish on too. I tried at 37 on a priest and got stomped because of multiple mob packs -- came back three levels later and it was dandy.
 
anyone know how to disable the repair thing? mine keep getting into the water.

I heared about that it will sell on some servers for 20000 gold (i've seen it in the AH on my last server for 18k).

On my server it sells for around 6000-10000, but I still cant farm it because of the vendor problem :P
 
Open up the XML in notepad or similar program and delete the vendor and mailbox part (that way U don't run to BB for mail nor repairs, so keep that in mind gearwise).

Use lootfilter to delete grays and probably greens too (no idea how much drops from them), though U might want to save the first mate hat (they are worth plenty on most servers).
It's a green item so U have to set that separately I guess.

First Mate Hat is the item.
And this item also goes from 2K up to 20K gold on the AH (no kidding).
So about the same as that rare bird you are all hunting (It makes me wonder how many tossed this hat already due to filtering, hehe).
So be sure to keep this item in your inventory (and not have lootfilter delete it).

start in booty bay
 
dropped after 9 hours of farming for me.... so i gladly went to the auction house and put it out for 15k gold . 10 minutes after i get a messeage, "somone bhougt your acution for ..." so i run to the AH only to see i wrote the wrong numbers... sold it for 1k gold instead of 21k gold o.O aaaah!

over 4.5k kills no sign of either hat or bird yet, but no sign of me giving up....i want my 15k gold!!

edit: been farming here since for about 24 hours more with another 3.5k kills, still nothing ...zzz...i continue, will update when bird drops
