Oracle - Open Beta [CC]

I know the Oracle team has a handful of beta testers, and most likely get swamped with PM's daily from people asking to beta test etc etc.

I'm currently one of the highest rated Mistweaver Monks in RBGs (US Servers) and fairly high rated in 3's, also decently high rated on my Resto Druid as well. So if there is an open slot for PvP testing in Arena and RBGs I'm always around.

Hey guys,

Just wondering how well disc is working with this CR pve wise? Im thinking of using my WoD boost on a priest and go disc. Any answers or info on the disc cr would be great, thanks!
 
bennyquest is raiding with oracle disc priest ... i dont know how much kill xp he have with oracle
 
for holy paladins:
The vurrent version of Oracle V2 has 6/14 hc kill exp, and still working on some issues
The current version of Oracle V1 has 8/14 hc kill exp

but i'm sure Oracle V2 can also kill the next bosses, but there are (currently) 2 weird things that has to be fixed before we can test again (still examining logs and comparing behavior between V1 and V2 in the same bossfights)

I am currently 12/14 HC using disc and oracle v2 oracle v1 is 6/14 hc I just swapped over to testing v2 after that point. V1 is more than capable though.

How are you dealing with the lack of Pain Suppress toggle? Full cleared HC here and I had to completely remove PS from the CR coding. No matter what health it was set at, it would still cast it, so when I needed it for a tank, it wasn't up. Was a big pain in my ass, so I simply removed it.

Before anyone asks any questions about settings, keep in mind that I do a lot of stuff manually. PoM, Barrier, PS, Spirit Shell, etc. I even manually PW:S people sometimes, etc.
It's not about settings when you're raiding like this. It's about knowledge. If you know the fights like the back of your hand, and you know your class, then everything will come natural to you. You'll know when you need to hit a button that the CR isn't hitting. You'll need to know when to cancel your cast. You'll need to know what fights the CR is good for, and which you should manually do.

A few bosses that I do manually:
1. Immerseus - Really, all you can do is atonement until puddles come out. Even then, the CR seems sucky in regards to actually healing the puddles. It just doesn't do it. When it does, it doesn't do it enough.

2. Sha of Pride - Dunno why I would even have to explain why on this one. It's literally just an atonement fight. SS on Swelling, throw down a barrier at the last few %s when it starts goin crazy. That's about it. Seriously. You can use the CR on this fight, but I find it pointless.

3. Thok - As much as I would love to use this on thok, the CR just doesn't know when to stop casting. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. No matter if I load the fight or not, it doesn't stop casting. It doesn't do a rotation right. Cool. It's trying to spam PoH when he has like a 1 second roar timer. You'll never get the cast off. Ever. 100% pointless to use the CR on this fight specifically because the CR doesn't know the fight. It doesn't know when to switch the spell priorities. It constantly tries to cast spells that would clearly never make it in time instead of saying "oh, lets just spam PW:S, channel penance then cancel, maybe hit up IF and SS then get some of that out for a bit, DS on CD obviously." Nah. It would rather try to spam PoH and never get a cast off and constantly get interrupted.

i agree with you on immerseus, priest is just not optimum for this fight period and the bot does not handle it well, Sha i always let the bot do it and do my cooldowns myself. Thok....yea CR just does not cut it and it does not know to use inner focus and archangel and spirit shell all at the same time. Or to shield everyone.

Now with pain suppression oracle 1 has an issue it has two emergency heal HP locations. so you have to turn them down low and turn the pain suppression down really low as well.

Ah im only playing a healer at the moment as my guild are making a third raiding group just for a bit of fun. We're all switching roles and I've said ill be our healer. We will only be clearing 10man one night a week at the moment so nothing serious but as i focus on my mage and my lock (my mains) I dont think i'll ever be a decent healer. I just wanted to use a healing CR that I could confidently clear raids with doing as minimal or having to intervene as little as possible.

I did have my eyes set on being a disc but if this class requires far greater knowledge of the class and a lot more manual work then I should probably go with a different class right?

What class works well with the CR, any that can clear raids with minimal manual work would be great! Any suggestions would be greatly appriciated! I have all healing classes at 90 atm so any will do.
 
Do you use the default pally or do you tweak it? I turn off all the CDs so I can manually use them and bump the EF's up to 3 for each Tank/player. Any recommendations?

i'm running default one from svn, no private additions there
my setup:
- disabled Stop Casting
- raised Stop Casting to 99% (sounds stupid but on some places it is still used without checking the setting for true or false)
- disabled predict healing
- Exclude Players above 99%
- turned off Devotion Aura for all fights - very situational use, no way for automating this in a useful way
- turned off Holy Light and lowered all Holy Light settings to 0 (this spell is atm useless and wasting mana in my opinion)
- set Flash of Light to 45% (default should be 60)
- turned off Divine Protection and Divine Shield for Dark Shamans fight (enabled on all other fights)
- turned of Hand of Protection (setting to 0) for Nazgrim, setting to 15% (default value) on all other fights
- tweaked all other cooldowns (Holy Avenger, Divine Favor, Guardian, Avenging Wrath) to some other values that fits my needs

This is basicly all i did, sometimes i play a bit with some other settings when i wanna compare the behavior of V1 to V2, but in general this is how i run V1 and V2 succesfully on 8/14 hcs with both versions
 
Thanks a lot. Ill implement a few of these tonight and see how it goes. Right now Im running double amp trinkets(no luck with any others) so Ive been playing around with the SH playstyle.
 
Ive given EF a try a few times( I normally heal 25s) and it would just blow threw my mana. I have to raise my spirit really high for it to be more stable. Once I get a regen trinket I will probably give it another go.
 
ehhhh ... EF does not use any mana, it costs holy power :)
but u can tweak the EF settings ...
cast EF at 2 Holy Power
set EF HP limit to 50% or higher (this will destroy the EF logic all in all, cause it should be up on as much people as possible but yeah ...)
EF replaces WoG, both require Holy Power, your issue is more or less the usage of Holy Light and Flash of Light, not the EF itself.
So u should disable the usage of Holy Light (Divine Light has the same cast time and more healing output), and force the usage of Flash of Light at a percentage that fits your mana regeneration.
I'm able to heal with 150-200k hps when already out of mana (well this depends on gear and spell power), at this low mana it will Shock / WoG the raid, and u should try to have Holy Avenger up as often as possible or decide to use another ability in tier 5 (Divine Purpose is good if u go oom a lot (well at least in that phase where u r already oom, holy avenger turns out to be the best option (for me) to have burst healing, Sanctified Wrath never tried but i think it is not as good as the other 2s)

maybe this helps u (using Divine Purpose). I don't have any mana issues.
