Oracle Holy & Disc Priest - Open Beta

I am casting on 1.35.. I feel some different in atonement healing. Maybe I am wrong or maybe not.. normally its casts smite and holy fire pretty much often.. now sometimes it doesn't do anything I find this CC pretty good but not the last revision. It feels like doing nothing for the most part on atonement healing e.g smite and so on so I guess versions before it used smite more often then in the last one.

I don't feel like to change my talents as well since it worked pretty good.

I am posting this because I like this CC alot one of the best I had.. but for now I have to pass.. I'll wait for a new revision and hope its fixed somehow..

you would be the only one having issues with atonement.....i have ranked top 200 in the world for all healers on two fights most fights i rank top 50 for disc priests so it is not having issues with the CR....also you should use twist of fate....no other talent compares hands down.

It is running pretty flawlessly for healing in raids at the moment, Although i really think atonement healing could be much higher/more aggresive, i find it at time's standing there waiting for heals to come of CD, like PW:S, PoM and so on, when it should be spamming the crap out of Smite,penance and holyfire/solace. It seems to completely forget that it can heal via atonement when things get messy, Atonement is a "smart" heal so it heals the lowest health player in range, so we should be doing it as much as possible, If nothing else to do, do atonement. it is a hard one to get right though as you can not pick who gets heals by it.

Maybe have an option in GUI for atonement.

-Low
-Medium
-High
Also NPC healing is working, but could be more responsive/faster.

Other then that it seems to be handling everything else like a boss.

Edit: Yes i have Damage set to "true"

This is what I mean. I just saying.. U don't have to bash on me since I "feel like" the difference between the previous version and the last. Maybe its not a problem but I find it so.

I don't think you understand...nothing has changed in disc since about revision 250 I am not bashing you or putting you down just stating the facts.

Edit: I was in disc, could you add this to holy as well? I use this for rbgs and arena, and using "Heal" just isnt viable.

This is currently the best CR for disc and holy in pvp and pve BTW, keep up the good work.

For me its detecting combat really late and its a long delay from players getting hurt and it starts to heal them up again. Raid have been on 50% sometimes and my toon just stood there not "seeing" anyone is hurt and not throwing any heals at all.
Is there something im doing wrong ?

Just out of curiosity has anyone ranked high on any bosses in raids using oracle as holy priest?i can't decide holy or disc. I'm back n forth on either my holy paladin using tuanha or oracle or priest using oracle but then priest idk holy or disc. Paragon had their holy priest 1 heal in soo on a boss soo I know holy is viable I just don't know which is better with oracle. Any suggestions please help me decide

Holy. Either paladin or priest. I wreck the meters on my hpal with the tuanha special, but this cr is looking very promising as well(pve wise).

To answer your question. Disc is less gear dependant if you ask me and Holy (to me) depends on excellend mana regen. With disc you can just stack crit run 9k spirit and go with holy it is a lot more dynamic than that. That being said out of the box i believe most CRs can handle disc better. All you do is atonment throw in some extra stuff bam good Disc CR. Holy is more precise always a lot more overhealing but that is part of it. So IMO which is better? well they both have their fights there is no doubt. Stacked up fights things that are AOE intense holy would prevail for sure....DPS heavy fights people are spread out more I feel disc takes the cake. It all does depend on your raid makeup too....if you are running a druid and monk and then you can't decide between holy or disc....i would say disc cause that many hots ticking out your HPS will fall with holy.


Now for me ranking on fights i did not run many fights as holy....but in every LFR I ran I ranked on World of Logs as holy if that means anything....this was also in the early stages of Oracle it has come a long way since then too.

Now for which spec.....play them both. See which one you like better and go that route. Do not let someone tell you which class to play because they say it is OP or top heals or anything like that....whatever feels best to you is the one you should play.

My disc priest still spams 'smite' in LFR even though offensive spells are set to 'false'. Working as intended (I know fuck all about priests)?

Also, I note that with offensive spells turned off - he spends 80% of the fight doing nothing and thus ends up well and truley at the bottom of the healing charts. Can someone tell me some good/important settings to change from default Disc for LFR/Dungeons?

Good settings would be leave offensive on.....most of discs utility cones from extra damage crits from atonement applying divine aegis.....it still smites to get stacks of evangelism when offensive is off.

Enable Offensive DPS: True, false makes it worse
Pain Suppression: 30%
Greater Heal IF: 40%
Heal: 0%
Flash Heal: 50%
Divine Star: 1 unit, 90%
Cascade: 3 unit, 90% (didn't use it much)
Prayer of Healing: 3 unit, 83%
Power Word: Barrier: Manually
Desperate Prayer: 40%
Spirit Shell: Manually
Archangel: On CD (tried manually also on tank heavy damage, but he is always taking heavy damage, so...)
Power Infusion: Switched to Divine Insight because of tank damage (get my shields off instantly using crit build, lasts for 1 sec with mastery build)
Void Shift: 20%
Urgent Health Percentage: 40%

Tried with Tyrael @ 200 TPS with framelock enabled

I have not done proving grounds in a while, but when i get home tonight i will see what i do with the gear and some different trinkets....will get some settings and what not as well. around build 225 of oracle i was getting to wave 25 consistently....i will see how it does tonight and see if i can get it to make it to 30 with little assistance.

Alright, so I told you guys I would do this a long time ago and never got around too it completely....So here you are.


Alright to set things up....Current version of Oracle 281. Beta version of HB. Tyrael ticks set to 25. continous mode off.


Settings files are attached one is general settings one is priest settings.....

My stats are listed below.....as well as my talents and Glyphs.....

I do not know how else i can prove to you guys that i botted this achievement.... Yes I had to move....and yes I had to maybe help on a prayer of mending or penance...But i was literally eating my dinner...and typing the entire time i got this.....

I was not really trying after i hit 30 because i did not eat in the break and made it to around wave 34.

I found best times to use spirit shell are before wave 5 and before wave 9 i never used barrier because i had never used it before....the wave with all the flame guys would probably be best for it.

If you guys have any questions i hope I can answer them for you.....

I am not saying you can load these settings up and go balls deep and do this every time.....the time before this i wiped on wave 14....RNG plays a factor but this makes it a lot lower.
