Oracle Holy & Disc Priest - Open Beta

best attempt so far is only 13, using benny's settings

I could finnally test your settings and... no way to get past 15, 3 hours of trying already. It even wipes at wave 5 sometimes.
Running 14k int, 8k spirit, 17% crit, 26% mastery. Using intellect flask and intellect food. Same glyphs, reforge priority and talents.
Did pain supresion and barrier manually sometimes (on waves 9/5) and still, there's not enough healing :\
I'll try to get a log up.

But maybe some more info would be nice ^^

What kind of trinkets? Are they on use or proc?

What race are you? (Can't tell if you're human/belf/UD :x)

I dunno, any additional info that might have helped you push for the win would be awesome, is all :)

I myself could only get to wave 7 but my gear is only 501. I think RNG has a lot to do with it as well. However Benny's settings are far better than the defaults :)

ilvl isn't important, since it's all scaling down to 463, which makes it more about the skill/talents/proper stats.

I definitely did much better with his settings, but I'm interested in knowing what trinkets etc he uses too, since I didn't have the success he has
 
Int proccing trinkets are kind of crap for this, and I was using one. I'll redo my trinket settings focusing fully on mana regen, like Soothing Talisman and Darkmoon one, or maybe even price of progress...
The bigger the mp5, the better.

AoE heavy waves will burn your mana to the ground, the amount of damage they take is unbelieveable...(Specially for priests that can only hope to be blood elves or get a lucky fear interrupt...) So there's the mage and the hunter on 20% and the tank HP dropping like hell, what do you do?
"My" mage DPS is always way below the tank, 10% damage done below every single try...
 
I swore i had put my trinkets in one of these posts but i guess i did not.

I am running horridons trinket and DMF trinket for this. And you say ilvl does not matter but it completely does. Everything is scaled down but from what i see it is really a percentage down. so if you have a higher spirit item it will scale down but still be more spirit. I will take some pictures later to fortify this. I am a troll so my racial is just kind of meh for it.

And honestly make sure you you use spirit shell seconds before wave 5 hits and wave 9 hits like i believe i hit my SS right at 3 seconds left on both of those waves.

but like i said i will try to get a video hopefully tonight before I run more tests through LFR and what not.
 
Do you spirit shell the whole group or only the tank? I have to ss the tank in wave 5 in order to keep him alive lol
 
It spirit shells the whole group the tank should shield wall himslf

Update Version 293

Improvement: Added all settings for Holy and Disc Priest: Delete Oracle Settings folder.
Fix: some Discipline spells were not calculated correctly. Fixed.
Fix: some Holy spells (renew) were not calculated correctly. Fixed.

I saw that the spirit shell thing isn't work that flawless.. there are two effects of it:
the 1st one: is the "indicator", every heal done in this 10sec is converted to absorb after it
the 2nd one: is the absorb itself...

the problem here is, that oracle is spamming prayer of healing not only on the 1st effect, it spams it also during the 2nd effect... it's just a waste of mana, the group is full life and it still spams the AE-Heal
but this only happens of spirit shell 2nd effect is active on me. if prayer of healing doesn't hit my char once in the 1st phase of spirit shell, I don't get the 2nd effect and this "bug" doesn't happen.. i guess it's sth with the spell-IDs ;D oracle might think that the 1st buff is still up and tries to overheal everyone

Rest works pritty flawless as disc so far! :)

and btw: is there any logic for immerseus to heal the adds asap? my priest is just casting single-target "heal" on everyone.. ^^

How do you guys play your discs? How many spirit, right now got 8k and I'm goind oom like hell.. 505gs
Any suggestions?
And how does holy work compared to disc?
maybe any1 got any tips... :D

spirit shell is a known issue. If you will read back a few posts I explain every other question you asked.....read before asking.
 
This might be the dumbest question ever, so bear with me. This is like PQR bot? I only use that for rotations and Vachiusa's profile is going down and I need a replacement.

I just wanted to give my feedback. First of all: greaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat work! Thank you and your team for putting this together ! It really is the S#$%!

Now to the facts: I have a Disc Priest with 550 ilvl I've been testing Oracle on LFR mainly. On wing 1 SoO I lost to not so well geared healers (530 - 540) like pallys and shammys I was always on 2nd place with average 50k to 80k HPS. I def could have done this better manually myself. On Norushen I hit 172K HPS !!!!!!! Which def was a lot more than anything else! And I destroyed competition. On LFR 2 wing SoO first boss I did 130k HPS peak top charts followed by a ilvl554 Pally with 114K HPS. On 2nd boss I ended 2nd behind that paly. On 3d boss I won but the paly was jut behind me and I started loosing to the paly and a ilvl 514 holy priest -_- ...

Any say to improve this so I can do 170K HPS like in norushen?

My configs are:

Tyrael:
Enable chat output check
Enable continuous healing mode check
Enable framelock check
25 TPS

Oracle:
Totally default, except the use of a trinket which gives mana.

One thing to note: I was always the last on overhealing. And also: My mana was almost NEVER pass minus 75%, for what I think I need more aggressive config.

First I would turn stop casting off in general settings. I will upload my raid settings when I get home this evening from work and you can try them. Norushen is a super buffed fight for discs because I believe we get double benefit from no corruption.
