Oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico

Why deep water oil drilling don't have the same level of safety than nuclear power plant ? It's seems that the disaster is huge compared to the rather small amount of money it needs to check what the oil companies are doing...

You obviously have no clue how many times a year the Nuclear plants south of Miami in homestead almost go critical. Used to live there. You hear the sirens all the time.

As for the oil spill... The news is under reporting how far it has spread. I live 200 miles east of where they are reporting it at in Florida and its hitting our beaches too.

This is also going around facebook. I have to totally agree with it as well.

So where are all the "Save the Gulf" concerts? Where are the T.V. Benefits with celebrities and musicians giving heart felt speeches on the poor fisherman, wildlife, beaches, loss of income and sabotaged gulf economy? I find it rather strange how these people (including our own government) are so quick to help Haiti and other countries...but sit on their butts for this one. Just the facts. Post if you agree!!

They don't care about looking good in our country. They know we'll buy their crap anyways. They do it to make other countries want to buy their crap.
