This would be nice. ;/I know they said honorbuddy will be down for a week, I know people are out of line telling them to hurry up and demanding it be done soon, but.... Could admin please create a sticky that is locked so that I don't have to look through 100+ pages of whinging in order to find the one or two posts by a dev.
I think it would cut down on a lot of the "whats going on posts" if we could go to one simple thread postable only by admins that included informative posts ie Dev version released, currently addressing custom class issues etc
If people can see progress is being made, they are less likely to keep asking when or abusing the devs (who do a great job btw) and be more supportive.
Just my two cents....
Many suggested that they do so. Be patient, soon)I know they said honorbuddy will be down for a week, I know people are out of line telling them to hurry up and demanding it be done soon, but.... They can take as long as they need. In reality, the longer it takes, the more stable and efficient the bot will be.
Patience is a virtue.
I agree but I think they could remove a lot of the ambiguity regarding what is actually happening by creating a quick reference point, 1 sticky or twitter feed (as mentioned by jfvibe) where people can go to get updates without having to sift through a thread with 100+ pages in order to find the information regarding the progress of the bot.
I don't care how long they take to get it right but what I find frustrating is not being able to find direct information about the status of the bot.

You guys need to stop working at McDonald's or Burger King, get out of your parents basements and go get a real job. Shit happens and things take time, anyone that has ever been in a project development group, whether it be a 3, 5 or 10 man group knows that you might set deadlines, but unless the dice are in your favor you won't make them. Nothing is set in stone. Deal with it. It's called shit happens... Now step out your front doors, run down to the nearest 7-11, get a nice tall glass of STFU and stop by the feminine hygiene aisle and get something to stop the bleeding.
Have a great day...
[03:53] <eli5492> [17:44:18] <@Apoc> First dev release tonight if I can fix this shit fast enough
[03:53] <eli5492> [17:44:29] <@Apoc> Going to be a fairly "broken" build for API updates
That is perfect! But only those on the IRC get that update. Being at work I can't leave IRC open all day but if someone (preferably an admin who can lock the thread off from clutter) can post that on a sticky that people can check for updates, I guarantee there will be a lot more happy users.
interestingly said but you clearly have never worked on a project development group as you know deadlines are set by both parties and if they aren't met penalties will be had.
