Probably one of the last updates from me...

We're almost done. We're basically working out some random issues here and there as we can find them. Kick has been doing a lot of testing for us on our internal builds, finding (and annoying us) with bugs. There's not much left to do.

The main reason this is taking so long, is that we want to get most (if not all) of our API changes done with the first release, so we're not causing extra grief on plugin/CC/profile writers by having API change too often. We also can't do any release if 90% of the bot isn't running as it's supposed to. We realize that people will use the developer builds to bot their characters, and complain that things are broken. So we want to alleviate the amount of "support" we need to handle for that.

This isn't a small task unfortunately, there are quite a lot of things to do still, but most of which take very little time. Expect a bigger update tomorrow when Nesox and I really sink our teeth in and get things done. (I'm admittedly a bit burnt out right now with staring at WoW for 18hrs+ 7 days straight. A fresh pair of eyes will help a great deal.)

Why not? First post said logs will be needed to fix bugs...why not allow everyone who wants to test it, test it.

Why are people assuming you dont get the test version?

Who said it?

They only said there will be a dev version for CC and Profile devs and the releases will be staged.
Where does the restriction come from?

thats totally irrelevant...dont ask everyone to post bug logs then say too many cooks...its not like anyone would be making suggestions just reporting what works and doesnt..but regardless doesnt seem to make a difference either way..devs will do what they want when they want and we have nothing to say about it. cept thank u may i have another. Would just be nice to have access to something.

This is a quote from Apocs update....seems to me that we wont see anything till after all the testing is done based on that

"Our second release will be a generic test (beta) release for the not-so-technically-inclined to run the bot and catch any other lingering bugs. During these builds, we'll try to address the lingering bugs that have been around for a long time. After these builds (maybe 1-3 of them), we'll finally put out the full release with (hopefully) the same things you've come to know in HB."

It just means that there will be multiple versions, no restrictions, available for anyone, just like he wrote three posts above. ;)

You were cursed by the fluffy pandas of mist ...

I see that many pages have been added to this thread but I really don't have the time to search through each of them for specific posts. Could someone please summarize where we are in the development process? I remember there being three steps mentioned and much of the HB has been updated.
