I have an aversion to FB by its very nature its unsecure. I also dont remember reading anywhere when i first signed up that i would need to visit 2 websites to get information to use the bot. The other thing i dont understand is, the facebook page is there but no supports is available from it. Why not just put an rss feed at the top of the forums page so people like my self who really dont like the site dont have to visit just to get an update.

edit: so i just went and checked out the site... theres just a whole lot of people praising or asking questions. Im not entirely sure what the facebook site is for. Anyone got any idea because it alludes me at,.

And before anyone has the idea of flaming me, this post is not about dissing the dev team, i love using the bots and have had no illusions about downtimes etc, im just pointing out certain things ive noticed and would like more information on.
 
i think he was just saying as well as a post being made here.. youll be able to get a notice thru facebook if u are signed up for it.

what i dont believe is theyre saying that u have to sign up for it

Are you serious? Seems as though no matter what the devs, mods, or boss say some tard will always have a problem with it.

The updates are in both places, you don't have to visit both, or either.
 
Seriously, I've been posting updates as soon as I can. The people bitching because I'm not spoon-feeding them information every 30 seconds really need to step back for a minute and realize that I'm giving you what I have, when I have it.

I can't magically make new versions come out of thin air, and neither can anyone else. Things are ready when they are ready, no sooner, and no later. If that isn't enough for you, then I don't know what you expect me, Boss, or anyone else to do for you. We work as quick as we possibly can.
 
when downtime hits, ski, people that are needlessly bitching and moaning, about things outta your control, or people that think they should get time added to their HB, or a free month of GB, start handing out 2 week posting bans.

that way - they only post once, and make examples out of them. there's no need for the forums to be like this.
 
i vote that anyone who bitches and moans about the downtime should be banned from the forum until HB is back up

ski, keep up the great work. the announcements are often enough and provide each HB user with adequate information. just ignore the haters

im not some tard and dont start flaming because i asked a question. I have reasons for not liking facebook. I use this site regularly and try to contribute when i can and if i can. I dont flame in ANY of my posts nor do i generally complain and i always try to give resolution ideas if i do see something i think could be done better. I wasnt having a go at the devs as i said in the post i was wondering what the deal with the fb group was for so i asked. What did you post achieve besides to get me offside Butane?
 
Hey, quit wow for a while and used to use glider back in the good ol days anw as looking into using honorbuddy but trial didn't work so I checked the forums to find its down. I know ski said that HB will be up in 48 hours and the original post was made on 6/22/10. I already found out that he updated the post with that information but at what time did he update it? anyone know? just so i can get a ETA on when the actual 48 hours would be?

Basically sometime within the next 24 hours if you want a rough estimate. But I saw somewhere that Bossland is expecting both Honor Buddies to be out within the next week. I'm sure if you just play some other games for a day, or go to a friends house, you'll be back to a shiny new set of Honor Buddies. :)
 
This is way off topic, so no worries if you delete it but, I think that one guys idea of an rss feed sounds great.

I don't know how it's done but I imagine one of the devs could figure it out.

Or maybe giving people the option to sign up for email alerts?

You can even be epic and spend text messages.

I hope this doesn't sound like I'm complaining. But any one of these would be greatly appreciated. Not just for this release, but for all of your releases. Which happens often with all the new versions, some with only a few days between releases.
