New PC

AMD Black Edition - Processor - 1 x AMD 3.6 GHz - L3 - CPU

what the hell is this? this looks like a phenom. can i get a link to it? if it's a phenom, it can't go in your am3+ board
Newegg.com - Computer Hardware, CPUs / Processors, black edition
^^ this is what newegg says for black edition... which is all am3 (not am3+ which is what the crosshair v supports... and these cpu's are crap compared to the 8120/8150)

These are the cpu's that are compatible with the Crosshair V (AM3+) board
Newegg.com - Computer Hardware, CPUs / Processors, AMD, Processors - Desktops, Socket AM3+

Just get the 8150 or 8120 and call it a day

as far as 'building' your own computer... it takes like an hour or less

6-10 screws for the motherboard (most screw holes are pre-installed in the case already )
everything else you literally can't screw up when inserting it

everything is kind of common sense.. .the biggest issue you'll face is pressure - how much pressure you force on something to go in

now for your stuffs:

psu looks good, mobo looks good, i dunno what the cpu is exactly, h100 looks good, solid state is good... the ram - you're going to need more. 2x4gb is a joke. the hdd? lol, toss that and get a 2tb storage drive. who the hell even uses a 320gb hdd?
dvd drive - if you have one laying around that's sata, use that instead (ie: your current comp)
i don't know what a cabinet cooler is? is that a fan? just get the 4-pack of fans for like $13 from newegg/amazon

If you're in europe and you don't want to build your own (you keep mentioning euro) ... hell, I can sell you the bot computer I just made =P lol

Actual Specs:
Code:
amd 8150 8 core @ 3.9GHz stock
crosshair v mobo
32gb ram @ 1600mhz (Komputerbay memory)
amd 6950 2 gb
1000w psu
120gb ssd
dvd drive
corsair h100 (with 2 extra fans attached)
an extra 120mm bottom case fan
an extra 220mm side fan
case: Level 10 GTS Mid-Tower

I dunno how much I paid for all of it off hand... but it was easy enough to build and manage the wires.

I actually bought a new 7970 and stuck that in my main comp and used the 6950 for the bot comp... as they're both great cards (the 6950 is similar to the 7850 that you're wanting to get)

AMD Black Edition - Processor - 1 x AMD 3.6 GHz - L3 - , 753222 / FD8150FRGUBOX | ComputerSalg.dk

This is the CPU - it's in danish, but I'm sure you'll grasp the basics. I'm pretty sure it fits in the moatherboard.

Cooler Master R4-L2R-20AC-GP - Indsats med bl?ser - 120 mm, 717247 / R4-L2R-20AC-GP | ComputerSalg.dk

That's what I called the cabinet cooler.

Is the graphic card ok? I'll get a new HDD; dunno what i was thinking.

FD8150FRGUBOX

yes, that's the 8150 :)

and cabinet cooler is a case cooler, gotcha

So all in all, other than the ram and the 320gb hdd... you did great =)

RAM:
Amazon.de: KOMPUTERBAY Arbeitsspeicher
160/170 Euro... which it's $169/179 or so on amazon.com, so a little more expensive than Amazon.com for the states, but it works. There's also a 16g version:

Komputerbay 16GB DDR3 PC3-12800 1600MHz DIMM mit: Amazon.de: Computer & Zubeh?r

I really like the name brand ram... but this hasn't given me shit at all since I installed it in the bot comp. (but I also don't overclock the ram, either)

I heard good things about those G.Skill RipjawsZ - maybe just get 16gb of those, or should I stick to the ones you link? Got a cheap ass 2 TB HDD, didnt cost much.

Only thing left is the graphic card I'm unsure of, what do you think?

And tell me how liquid cooling works, do I have to replace and refill water often?

that ram is a little insane for the speed vs cost

You can most def do that, but i'd get 1600mhz / 32gb vs the 2133 / 16gb. But that will work.

The ram you picked is double the cost of 1600mhz 4x4gb :(

If you plan on overclocking the ram higher than 2133 mhz... sure, get it. but if you don't, there's little noticeable difference for the bots

the 2TB looks fine

To your liquid cooling question... the H100 is pre-filled and sealed, so you never have to do anything. Just make sure your case has a 'roof' mounting so you can mount that radiator up there. Also, make sure it has clearance... a lot of mid towers are a huge pain to mount + have clearance (check the attached pic)

GTS is mid tower
GT is full tower

Crosshair v + 8150 + h100 with 4 fans (it only comes with 2 fans!)

i recommend getting a box of these and adding 2 to the radiator and keep 2 for your case
Amazon.com: Cooler Master 120mm Silent Case Fan 4-in-1 Value Pack - (R4-S2S-124K-GP): Electronics

if you decide to use 4 fans... you'll have to switch the screws. the small ones will have to be used for the 'bottom' part of the radiator, and the long ones will have to be used for the top side since you have to screw it to your roof and through the fans

If you can see from the 2nd pic that has a fan heatsink in it... that's a mid tower before I put in the h100... you see the holes up top? those I couldn't use ... So I used other holes that were for airflow and it worked out... but barely. There may be a a few millimeters clearance between the fans and the motherboard

Hey mate - I think I'll keep the ram, cos I have to order everything from one site, to get a nice discount (I know someone who knows someone). I looked around, and the cheapest I can go for 16gb of 1600Mhz on that side, is 25 euro cheaper for Corsair Ram. So might aswell stick to the RipjawsZ ones I heard good about.

I bought 2 extra fans for the top - I see you went with 4, but I'm sure 2 is enough for me. I'm not going as extreme as you are, when it comes to using the PC :-). I might bot 3-4 accounts max, while playing something else. I'm sure what I have now is good enough for that.

I need to add thermal compound to the list aswell?

And please confirm if my graphic card is good - I'm really unsure!

EDIT: Not unsure anymore - every review gives it 10/10, and several editors award. I'll grab that :-). Seems like I did a build, woohoo!

The video card is pretty good. the 7970 is 450-500 i think... but for only doing 3-4 accts, the one you picked is fine!

And the ram - it's nice ram... if you get a discount, that's great =)

But also for 3-4 accts.. you don't need this nice of a computer... but if you plan on going 15+ accts, you'll want to up that ram

Thermal paste... no and yes

Overclock - get artic silver 5
not overclock - the h100 comes with a thin layer of paste (look at it, that is how much you want after it's spread out ofc). If you ever end up doing thermal paste, a grain of rice in the middle of the cpu is fine. let it spread out evenly (it's for filling in micro holes, not for cushion)

Alright, no paste then, as I don't think I'll be overclocking a good PC like this, for what I'm planning on using it for. 3-4 Bots, aswell BF3 or whatever, this should do me good.

Thanks alot for the help Kick, really appriciated. Hopefully I can order tomorrow, and get the parts by friday - my uncle who puts it together for me, leaves at sunday to Lagos for a month. Otherwise I'll have to search for another one to put it together for me :-)

I just ordered a system from cyberpower for 1529 total. Main parts were 16gb ram, 3820 cpu and a 7850 since the reviews says it runs quiet. I want to bot 24/7 and need this thing silent. Looking to do 10+ bots. Also added 120gb SSD. I usually build them myself but I have a baby in the house and it's hard enough getting 1 hr of sleep let alone time to set the rig up.

Got the azza 9000 case since it looks like the gloves on my DH lol.

From whatbside u ordered?! I am thinking to upgrade my pc, and I am looking for a cheap site!!

Danish site - and I only get it that cheap, cos I can get it without the VAC Taxes.

Otherwise the parts would cost 1460euro including the OS.

Do not get AMD/bulldozer no matter what you do.

especially using a SSD, will cripple your speeds because their marvell chipset controllers are so shit compared to intel

Kick, help!

I just did a review on my case - it says that it can't hold a radiator, that is me screwed with the liquid cooling aint it???

Build also a rly fast system this week for ~2k euros for my next army of 30 bots. If u interested, lmk. I will post.
post it, pls. :)
how much bots run on your semi-build?

you can still blow it out of the front or the bottom... but top is the best.

That's why I said make sure you get a case that has a roof vent/mounting

I was quite sure it had the space - Oh well, I might remove the 200mm fan at the top, and then make some room. We'll see, and I'll post. The case itself has a shitload of fans.

Can't wait to have it built, and post all them pictures here for you to see :-)
