More ban with questing profiles ?

I was the one questing while watching and doing manual dungeons at the same time. Not sure who would have reported me, while questing if I saw other players I'd buff them and make small talk.

Further, I had the bot off & was manually playing dungeon during trip wire, so I never got disconnected. However, because of me exiting HB, it didn't close my client, so if there was lingering evidence in it, it would have remained.

I've used the bot a long time like this with no problems, thought it says near undetectable this way. But even combat routine only people got hit, that is strange.

Now rumor time:
My gf's friends brother is a GM, I know this to be true. They were here on vacation last week. They talked wow, & he said "botters better stop soon, blizz is going to update so they can detect them easily." I just laughed it off. But here I am now. Lol
He has no clue I bot, doesn't know my account, & game not even in my real name so he couldn't have flagged me either.

so if i am reading this right u had the bot open(attached) but not running during the tripwire event

It was attached questing 2 hours before tripwire, dungeon popped and I fully exited HB and manually ran back to back dungeons with a pug during tripwire event.
Past few days I did same thing on different characters, even alternating between kicks & other questing profiles. Until last night I was manually questing with the mage, turned in a quest and kicked off. Lol

man ive been using HB on my main account pretty much nonstop since wotlk and I've only ever received 1 three day ban like 3 years ago lol, was even online during tripwire, still going strong as always

calling bullshit on the GM part. GM's are NOT allowed to discuss anything at all to people not working for Blizzard. They can be fired AND sued.

And I'm pretty sure some GM is reading this thread right now, which is kinda funny.
This seems really difficult, if they ban ALL bot users (even casual ones, not goldsellers only) they will lose so much users.

Actually, saying that botters should prepare themselves for new measures doesn't seem like breaking NDA. He didn't say how, so we can't prepare ourselves, he didn't say when either. Plus, he just said that botters will get banned, so what ? Botting is against EULA, botters know they can get banned. If his friend is a GM and did say that, he didn't break anything.

I'm pretty sure this has to do with the whole token thing, Blizzard doesn't want people to bot and stop paying for the game, maybe they did the maths and it's worths losing all the bot users, speculating that they would all have bought gametime with tokens.

Yeah a 1 time gold reseller and a botter that has had over 500 accounts banned works for Blizz. You wouldn't get a job working as a detective thats for sure.

I ran it while attended for around 3 battlegrounds to get 600 honor and didn't see anything quirky while it was running.

I feel like I was detected in another way, but can only speculate.

Also literally only used CR in PVP for the 3 BGBuddy runs listed above (I hate pvp but needed 600 honor for a transmog -- using Singular CR -- again attended the whole time).

Sorry if u don't think my scenario fits with what u describe but I felt like it did. I am just trying putting my info out there so botters can read the thread and then decide for themselves which methods of using the bot are "safe".

I really honestly do not think I was doing anything noticeable that would be report-worthy.

Can you explain to me how using BGBuddy (even for 5 minutes) is unsafe if attended -- are u saying the pathing of the bot is noticeable and warrants reporting or are u saying that it can be instantly detected by blizzard?

I can tell you that the pathing in bgbuddy is noticeable even in 5mins, I stopped using it in bgs. Only bots usually use the teleporters at the beginning of IOC when there is a giant door in front of them, thats just one thing I noticed and one of the many reasons I don't touch bgbuddy anymore (use a raidbot or something that doesn't walk by itself). Other things like not dismounting unless attacked while sitting on flags and your team mate getting attacked right in front of you. I wont tell all my observations on here and will be glad to delete this if requested but I was just giving examples of what could have been reported and seen easily. These same types of things are just as easily seen in dungeon buddy and raid buddy. I dont care either way because I myself am botting but i'm just saying, if I see this stuff, chances are other people do too. Maybe they can add something to the bots like bg buddy to follow people for the first minute of the battle starting so it doesn't look automated...or to randomly start following targets and pathing by itself mixing the two to look more natural. The bots shouldn't look like a flock of geese running the same exact paths at the same exact time taking the same jerky turns. Its not randomized enough.
 
HB dev's have already said the 32 bit detection is not an issue they are concerned with.
