I had it running on X64, but it had issues.

That said, X64 was not very widely used at all even 2 years ago. When Vista 64 came out it was so buggy people stayed with XP32. 64 bit processing (for gamers) did not hit mainstream until Windows 7 (well, Vista in the later releases was ok, but most gamers did not bother).

I am a developer, and supporting both 32 and 64 bit versions of a program is a pain, especially when the user base for 64 bit is small. If glider comes back now, I have no doubt at all that 64 bit will not only be supported, but will likely be the native release version, since most developers (myself included) develop on new computers, which means windows 7 ultimate 64 bit.

That sounds like a good thing, all my pc's use x64 since 2 years back

Glider is legendary! I loved Ppather; it had a much better (less botty) look to it. Buddy returnes to its previous spot after killing a mob and making it look really botty. Their are things that buddy has taht glider never had and that was doing dungeons

I think what I missed about Glider the most was the amazingly professional support Merc and Hamut gave to the community. That's something HB never had, and probably never will.

i stay on HB, and the french team of glider FR have already made another bot, shadowbot, it's the suite of glider.

To be honest, i love HB, but i will probably go back to Glider. The community was better IMHO and shadowdriver + tripwire beats only a tripwire. It was also pretty flawless even though simple. Obviously i still consider the 2 lifetimes i purchased here money well spent and will probably use this still for instancebuddy.

Yeah, just checked out the Glider thread on their forums.. had a few good laughs. Also going to continue clarifying that if Glider hypothetically comes back, it isn't like MDY is going to roll over and not compete with the competition's tech .. Mercury hypothetically has some awesome stuff up his sleeve. It will hypothetically be the 1.8 generation Glider at first.. but expect some really cool hypothetical features after everything hypothetically settles down.

Ok I've only read up to page 8, and haven't read any of gliders forum.
But My thoughts. If glider wins its going to put thorn in side of blizzard that will make them go after botters harder than now.
So in way I hope glider doesn't come back. Same as in way would like to see HB/GB become less popular, stay under radar.
The top dog popular is first they aim at to shut down.
Just my thoughts.

The community was way better, administrators much more concerned about safety and vocal, and they made sure nobody glided when it wasn't safe and they could prevent it. I trust them and know they have a lot of tricks up there sleeves to stay competitive.

WOW, so you havent been a member long for HB/GB have you... ahh 1-3-11 yep that answers that. Glider at this point is SO far behind compared to HB/GB that it isnt even worth the effort to get it up and running imo. You do realize that with EVERY major patch or update that has anything to do with security that Bossland takes down HB/GB auth servers so that nobody can even log on to use it?

You do also realize that from where I stand you coming here saying that Glider is better because of the community just says you dont like our community here, that Bossland isnt worried about your tiny little account. He probably has more banned accounts than all of this community put together, all in the name of helping to keep us safe?

and blizzard are not stupid, they know all bots, and what they do.
but they need botters to make money like silkroad
u saw what happen one month ago for silkroad, they unbanned all accounts, this will happene too in wow, when customers will start to quit the game.

The only game team who fight activelly botters, is Aion

But never most active than this, u can't compare an community with 10K+ users and 1K+, it's just stupid.
glider will never beat AIO for auto questing, never beat HB/GB for gathering and farming here is the reality.

Shadowdriver did not really Protect aus from the last Glider Bannwave (do you all who talk about that "wounderus shadow driver" know why?) and at that Time XP64 Bit was long out but not supported.

The last banwave was due to an oversight with a new technique in patching if I remember correctly (maybe?). Something that was a hard-learn lesson, but one that was never and will never be repeated. It wouldn't of mattered which 'bot' you used at the time as it wasn't your standard patch/banwave. It used newly introduced ways of updating that were previously unheard of.

Now, If i might be so bold to chip in here (as a moderator over at the soon-to-be-thriving-glider-forums), I may be a little bias towards Glider, but thats only because of how totally impressed and faultless their product was FOR THE TIME. Sure, lots has changed and the bar raised significantly from the days of waypoints - but lets not forget where this technology came from.

It would be dumb to assume that it was all Glider alone, because thats ignorant, but what IS fair to say is, HB/GB, Pirox, Mmototus, Gremlin, FarmerJohn, and quite a few more wouldn't be here or around if it wasn't for Glider closing. IF glider comes back, Merc is more than capable of implementing his own, unique, non-shareware-coded navigation tools from scratch now as the market demands it. I think I'm right in saying that NavMesh is free script, so nothing really HB/GB can claim to be its own progression in this field...I may be wrong. Also, and this isn't a dig to my friends Bosslands and Hawker because I'm greatful for their products, but HB/GB has never ran as faultless or smoothly as Glider did (for what they promoted to do). But anyway all fan-boi-ness aside, Pontus made Pather for Lifetime Elite users of Glider and that was a primitive evolutionary version of what we're using now.

The way I have always looked at it is I brought a lifetime (two in fact) here at GB/HB because Glider went down, I needed a bot and I simply trusted the developers the most as I knew Hawker from Glider back in the day. GB/HB was only ever an interim program for me. I never intended to use it should Glider come back because frankly, I think I owe it to Merc to support him should he decide to put fingers to keys again. He's not put a step wrong fighting the fight for ALL WARCRAFT BOTs. He's stood up against all the odds and he's not done fighting for us. We all owe him tremendous gratitude for that.

I guess though, the proof of the pudding will be in the eating....Should that pudding ever arrive on my table. I will welcome Glider back. I will offer support and troll just as much as I always have over there. I hope, if anything, it spurs on great development from both bots, safe in the knowledge that Merc has a trusted reputation for undoubtedly the best Warcraft bot security ever made publicly available.

Warden did detect Glider end of story and how was it with the other Bannwave..

Yea you are right Glider ran ok but had also a lot of flaws I know how good Merc and others are I do not question that!
