Well I don't know if the whole source code thing is true or not but APOC is a Dev for HB and was memory hacking well before HB existed, check out ownedcore.com

I don't see why you're all complaining that you got banned. You run the risk getting banned using CR's and other bots. It's not blizzard fault you're banned it's your own, quit whining on the forums about "Never giving blizz another dime." Lol

I think Blizz is looking at the long term impact on the game. In the short term they will lose subs, but if they get rid of the majority of bots it will be good for the game long term.

Subs have been going down for a while. Even after the last HB Banwave. Long run = less subs. It's the content that sucks. They made an announcement last time just like this time. The numbers never went up.

Yes, they state that Blizz got the entire SB source code, but it is likely that other materials were given to them. Apoc was scared and it sounds like he gave them everything he had. He likely had information on several buddy products. Of course I don't know for sure, but I suspect more than just the SB source code was provided to Blizz.

Yeah, but that also has to do with WoD being one of their worst expansions :P Blizzards subscription woes are mainly due to a change in their development cycle mentality that occurred around the time Activision took over. WoD was mainly developed before Activision took over, and the core of WoD is a good expansion. The problem with WoD came after it was released. They decided that WoD would have extremely limited content. That is the main downfall of WoD. A lot of bleeding edge people don't have anything to do.

Activision seems to be focusing development on expansions/paid content and less on continual content releases throughout an expansion. This is causing huge lulls in the game where the hardcore people don't have anything to do. Anyway, that is a different discussion :D
 
6 months, two accounts yet it seems I can xfer characters from those accounts ( except for ones I can't access because they have gold or mail ) Interesting. Got tagged whether I tried to login from an x86 or Bnet launcher. Accounts say active but don't say banned like they did last time. Curious.

Have you tried to transfer yet?

I debating on whether or not to create a new account, buy WoD and try to transfer. Any idea if I get a refund if it doesn't work?

according to old comments this was a bug and it has been fixed and removed.

I'm curious how far along in the process people are getting. I can get to the point where I select an account and it says "No eligible game licenses were found for the account." so I would like to try to purchase WoD on that account and attempt a transfer. I would like to know if I can get a refund if it doesn't work though.
 
I resubbed to my account on tuesday after a 4-5 month break used HB yesterday the day before for little things and I didn't get banned. So either they are delaying bans or they got there proof from a previous week
 
You can get refunds on any "service" you pay for on bnet this includes the expansions and character services (these would simply be reversed).
 
Reactivated my secondary account after 2 months, used it to simply fly a mate to deepholm stonecore instance as he didnt have flying in azeroth, bam my account is suspended for 6 months. i havent botted on that account for more than 4 months. Though my main botting account i only use enyo so i suspect its purely detecting HB rather than behavior.

First ban since botting with HB... dang it.

There was a sad story to this as well. I recall meeting another botter in game, on mumble chat, who was paralyzed from the neck down. Wow was pretty much all he had and the only way he could play was to bot and use click to move, typing to talking and some head gestures controlled a few buttons. Poor guy lost a big part of an attempt to scavenge a life and some enjoyment by playing a video game where he was unable to do so before. He was a good tank and it was truly amazing watching him play and overcome his disability by use of technology to get some enjoyment. He was almost always online during waking hours and wow seemed to be a social life he was able to put together.
 
heads up yall, if ur account got banned and is less than 30 days old, paypal is finding in your favor. i made a thread on main forum with picture proof.
