[PAID] [Mage] Portal - An Advanced Honorbuddy Mage Routine [PvE/PvP]

The huge difference is the fact that on target dummy, it does more dps then when in an actual raid and fully buffed. Explain that one to me lol. Either way, this isn't the thread for this topic. I've retired my hunter until someone actually gets a good routine working for PvE.

cause on the dummy it multi targets the other dummys
 
Engineering Synapse Springs is randomly bugging out (can't even manual use it when it happens) sometimes. I have no idea what causes it but it seems to happen completely at random (have had it bug out with it set to "use on CD" and "on burst"). See attached log; lines 3100 to 3186 might be of importance.

Hi mate, just got in :) What I do with cooldowns is start with them disabled, I have an addon that tracks my trinkets, as soon as the PBOI (immers) trinket procs I enable them, this means as soon as it's at 4 stack it will run through the cooldowns with the trinket proc'd (somtimes RNG is bad ofc but 90% of time this is best for dps).

I set it on boss/player always. I generally turn it off again after it's cast and then back on when I want it. :)

This is the addon I use ExtraCD - Combat - World of Warcraft Addons - Curse

the only gotchya with this is on Galakras where there is no "boss" at the start, just force cooldowns when you want them :)

This happened to me once, when it got confused about it's cooldown and tried to spam it, I just reloaded and it was OK though, also do not have a second set of gloves in you inventory, this seems to confuse it for some reason :)

What if you created an "advanced setting" that will allow us to create any custom delay in RoP casting?

Yeah this happened to me on two bosses tonight in SOO, dont have a 2nd set of gloves and it "got confused" and just sits there, trying to spam them had to kill it all and reload HB/Portal for it to take off and work, tried just hitting stop/start but that didnt seem to make any difference.
 
I would love for some answers of how you guys have this setup.....from my point of view its crap for arena. How do I get it too pop everything how do I get it too use iceblock how do I get it to use ice lance more.....

Try going through the GUI enabling/disabling options to see if there's any setting in particular which is causing it. Item usage is pretty intensive - I'd start there.

Hmm, not sure it's a good idea. It casts RoP when you stop moving. Heavy movement fights you should be frost spec using Invocation. RoP is only really needed in arcane spec for low movement fights.

I figured out what it was. It's the Recount AddOn. Turned it off during last nights raid and it ran smoothly. But now I'm sad I can't watch myself top the meters :(

Get Skada. It's less intensive than Recount.
 
I also noticed something else last night. When in combat last night, a couple of times I accidentally clicked on a player and I was instantly spammed with "Not a valid target" and only once I was spammed with "Already has a more powerful spell" or something like that and wouldn't cast for a few seconds. Not sure what caused it. Happened during the Paragons fight so it would be closer to the bottom of the log.

Or better still try this TinyDPS - Combat - World of Warcraft Addons - Curse

All it does is healing/damage (no fancy stuff like spell breakdowns etc etc), it really is just a "dmg" meter, it's very lightweight compared to skada and recount and if all you want is to see your DPS it's worth a try. I use it all the time now, for proper information I have my WOL logs anyway.
 
Hmm... With HB going down today, and possibly tomorrow, I wonder what I will be doing to take up my time. Honestly, I have got so used to the bot, that I no longer know what my actual rotation is anymore on any of my toons. There is always a downfall to every great thing. Unless HB will be up before my heroic raid starts up tomorrow, I won't even log on lol.

On a side note, appears there are no changes to Mages with this patch. YAY! We don't have to wait for a fix for Portal!

Had the same issue with skada, To fix it just disable all the modules bar damage
 
Im aware that Patch is out tomorrow. But does that effect the bot today? I have been having some really lage (not lagspikes)(nor lose in FPS) but soma major slowed frames. It's allways in Arena. Have even tryed to close all my addons.

Is that because of tomorrows patch?

You are apparently EU, as you don't have the patch yet. Whether or not the patch releasing today in US will affect the EU servers, I am not sure. All I can tell you now is to expect any Refer-a-Friend mounts that you may have to not be there after patch. US servers are full of people complaining about this and I believe it will be hotfixed. So when you log on tomorrow, don't freak out when you RAF mounts aren't there lol
