Legitimate Question about Locked Threads

Just because you preface something with "I say this with all the respect in the world" doesn't mean you can say whatever comes to mind. I mean....this is just over the top rude. Unless of course you were trying to show, by example, how threads get locked here. If that was the intent.....well done.
 
You should go back and review the rolling waves of threads during the "great banwave". Some were locked then unlocked as the mods determined best for the community. They aren't unreasonable IMO, and they often have access to some little information we don't. Maybe some discussions are pointless based on information you don't have and they are doing you a favor by saving your time and energy.
 
Maybe its just me but I haven't ever had a problem with any of the mods here. I simply try to give them the most detail I can on a problem and include a log. I deal with many people on specific level issues and I can tell you it is hard to take someone's problems seriously when they put little to no effort in explaining the situation/problem. As for threads getting locked, I don't see a problem in it. It might be annoying for some but its easy for me to have a "lol sucks it got locked" attitude and then I move on.

Honorbuddy search feature is the worst pos I've ever used. It's like I'm typing in greek for all the good it does me finding relevant information.

This is the ONLY search engine on the entire internet that doesn't pull up relevant information to my query. If I'm using it incorrectly maybe some tips how to get it to work... you know, help the customer instead of mocking them?

I am sure they have better things to do then to teach you how to search a forum (same principals of any other forum I have ever encountered). This ironically is the whole point that Tony and the HB team are trying to say, they are here to support the bot, not to teach you how to read and apply the slightest amount of logic and reason to something as mundane as a search field. Seriously if that is to advanced for you to operate, botting shouldnt be your priority at this juncture in time.
 
Dont bother bringing this up. All you get is a bunch of bossland butt kissers who think they are going to get special treatment down the line for butt kissing they are doing. You as a customer have the right to criticize and discuss your purchase in a constructional way. However the mods here sometimes can't take criticism and they shut the conversation down. Honestly, its their loss. You can vote with your dollars and not purchase anything from the honorbuddy store. Thats what I'm doing now. I absolutely refuse to support this product with any more money until some changes are made. They will probably roll their eyes and scoff and not care, but honestly after 12 keys and several hundred spent in the store, they can keep that attitude and see how far it gets them. Nothing lasts forever.
 
I've given up on the forum search (it's so very hit and miss, I've yet to work out it's search logic even of the advanced search) and just use Google. It works, it gets me what I need, I move on.

I'd rather use a work-around that doesn't cause much fuss than pitch a fit and take resources away from other things .. like letting me be a lazy botter. :)

Aint nobody is kissing asses, just tired of victims who throws out the tantrums on every little thing that they dont't like, for some reason they thinks that they own the bot because they spent few dollars that mommy gave them for lunch. Everyone hate crybabies, show some respect for developers who worked around the fucking clock, while most of them did worked for free for greater good in perfecting HB. Man the fuck up and enjoy the bot.

I can agree with canuckcowgirl, in the few years im using the forum, i could very rarely find what i want with the integrated search.
In the end i gave up, and use google to search the forum. :)

Same searching while on the forum always resulted in 0 returns, same search in google with , honorbuddy added finds the page in seconds and more posts that I would of missed. Been doing it this way since the forum opened you just have to find ways to make the product you want to work for you!
