I won't post any specific locked threads here, but I did have a general question about them. How come when people are discussing something that you (Honorbuddy Admins, whoever) feel is *inaccurate*, not necessarily against any rules I've seen, you just say it's trolling and lock the thread? Why not respond, correct our inaccuracies and then let us respond back? Every day I'm on the forum I feel like if anyone says anything negative about honorbuddy it gets a "everything is fine like it is" speech and then locked. If I believe that what I was saying is still correct after someone says I am not, that is not "clearly trolling" or anything else. It's a discussion. Discussions go back and forth. I would love to be proven wrong about something, but I can't due to the Admins.
I hope this doesn't come across as trolling because it's not. Sometimes locked threads are needed. Absolutely. However, when we have 2 pages of discussions where 13 different people all agree on the same point and then 1 person disagrees and locks the topic and says don't talk about it again, it feels like we are being silenced and not able to talk freely. In some of the posts that were locked, nobody was angry. Nobody was yelling at each other. The Admins just didn't like what people were saying.
Having said all of that, if there was a way to discuss these topics off of the public forums, I would do that. There isn't a place for it though. There's literally no way to try to convince anyone to get your point across if one of the Admins feels that what you are saying is wrong.
Sorry for the rant, but felt it must be said.
