I broke out my tinfoil hat and thought the exact same thing as OP

It's kinda sketchy they haven't nerfed the chance for sarkoth to drop gold or something.
 
Checkpoint doesnt work anymore, ive confirmed this. Seems like they have removed it.
 
Checkpoint is fine?

Maybe cause my chars had it before patch, I haven't tried to give it to new chars yet.

It's just somthing i've been thinking about dude, I don't post often but demonbuddy's down and im bored. I could be completely off about this, blizzard may simple to busy sueing people to actually spend time developing the game.

But the whole idea is to get maximum real money profit per account before its banned. That's the game.

Someone who has gotten a lot a good gear and has 10 bots all on Sarkoth might want to consider this... Dont stop the bots, but don't keep inventory, sell your shit for $ while you can.

The word "ban" seems to offend some of you.

Get used to it, I've had over 25+ blizzard accounts banned and having your head in the ground doesn't help anything.

Bans ARE comming

checkpoint is still there. I just intentionally went somewhere else and got a new checkpoint then went back to the explore cellar quest and got it again.
 
Another reason i think sarkoth is still around is because of hardcore. They arent making the modes different as far as content is concerned and they still need a place that hardcore players can farm.
 
Not afraid of a ban at all - I will still loop this 24/7.

Let's just say that I earned enough for several new diablo accounts ;-)

^ this, I tried that too.

TBH, it's not broken, it's just convenient.
They can't nerf EVERYTHING we farm. Every hit on us is a hit on legit players.

Doesn't mean they won't nerf it eventually, but I'm not ALL surprised they didn't.

Thing is, MANY legitimate gamers are farming Sarkoth! It's true, they're idiots. But they will be mad at Blizz if its nerfed.
 
Speaking of nerfs - Did they hit Arreat Core, or Kulle farming?

I wouldn't even care if I got banned right now. I'd go right back, powerlevel a DH to 60 and bot Sarkoth 24/7 all over again. Even if I don't sell gold it's just way too good to pass up.

But when I hear of people that have had 25+ accounts, it's kind of obvious that you are selling gold. And in my experience, this gets people flagged and banned a lot more then the botting itself.

Core, they didn't.
Kulle, idk. They likely fixed the levelling exploit (killing it once and turning it in infinitely). I don't know if that's what you mean.

I'd agree if we were talking about WoW.
You can trade 100k on WoW, and be looking at a ban the next day.
On D3, I've traded literally billions of gold since it came out, and have been botting 24/7 on, atm, 10 accounts. And I got Nothing.

This game is about farming endlessly for those perfectly rolled item, and trading for them. That's what Diablo has always been about.
If they wanted to ban people for trades, I imagine they could have very easily done that by now.

But you sell gold yourself. At least it sounds like that. The ones banned this far are generally the ones that have sold it to chinamen. At least HB banned accounts had a very large share of people doing this. In their original beautiful first banwave.

I'm not saying private botters aren't going to recieve bans though. They no doubt will. But the majority of the people that get banned do something stupid (and not talking about 24\7 botting here because this far, this has not been a factor)
