I got mine from using HB only on my main

I had been hoping to have the title by now. Hovever, time has just not been on my side. Also, I did not want to pull my farmers out of the Cata zones where they are making me gold and move them to the low level zones to gather mats to make the darkmoon cards. Anyhow, I have dedicated one farmer to gather the herbs I need to make the Cards and, with Bloodsail now out of the way, I can concentrate on the remainder of the rep. I am going to wear this title with pride.

If you want PROOF to the contrary please download and install Overachiever addon, go into the achievement search pane and search insane. You will see your bloodsail remains lit green even if you loose the rep. This is the mechanic of how achievements work.. once you get credit for that faction it does not go away.

Here is a screenshot of overachiever, with my guy's current Hated rep, and wearing the Bloodsail title. Explain?

Edit1: And before you say it was Honored and I stopped at Friendly, I can tell you, you are wrong.

Simply,
U can wear the "Bloodsail Admiral" title without been honored with Bloodsails Bucanners, maybe u have stopped farming rep at friendly and that trashed the rep for the Streawheedle Cartel

Avast Ye, Admiral! - Achievement - World of Warcraft

Friendly (3,000 : 600 bruisers)
This is as far as you need to go as of patch 3.0.3
At friendly you can get the quests Neutral Avast Ye, Scallywag and Avast Ye, Admiral!.
The reward for completing the quest Avast Ye, Admiral! is the [Bloodsail Admiral's Hat] which can be both worn and used to summon a Blood Parrot pet. In Patch 3.0.2, this quest also rewards you with the title Bloodsail Admiral.
You will also be able to open any of their treasure chests without being attacked.

From the post I quoted, they said in Overachiever, my Bloodsail rep would be highlighted green, as if I already met that requirement. On mine it does not show. I just only recently installed Overachiever, so it could be that I needed it installed when I already got Honored with Bloodsail?

Fully reading my post with negate this comment. I am an achievement hunter and reputation hunter. I stopped my Bloodsail at what ever the #999/#000 is for honored.

Either way, I am starting to do Bloodsail over and lose all my Steamwheedle rep in the process. Since you can get Bloodsail to Exalted now, I will do so, then raise Steamwheedle again and have them both at Exalted and be done with it!

Btw this is the only way u'll be in that situation, cause I've got "Bloodsail Admiral" title too, and I was at 320/12k at honored with bloodsails and now, that I've trashed some rep with them to boost up the process to exalted with the cartel, I've also got the first line "green" into overachiever..
I cant explain your issue other way, sorry :s

Did you have Overachiever installed when you had Honored with Bloodsail? Maybe it just doesn't recognize mine because I recently installed it.


EDIT1: Anyone know the fastest way to grind rep with Bloodsails, is it still the Cave area in Arathi? I will be bot/grinding it from Hated -> Exalted just to simply have it Exalted, then will go back and bot/grind the Steamwheedle Cartel back up.

To counter, both evidence of my title obtained some time ago and my current steamweedle rep which was until the exalted title changes going to stay at neutral, i recently farmed them up on the way to revered to reclaim the exalted title and then they decided to reverse the decision... might finish them off again anyway now

As i said in my post, i obtained all 4 steamweedle reps then ditched the rep and went for bloodsail, then i repaired my rep with the goblins to neutral using cloth so i could enter goblin towns also trashing the bloodsail rep before i even started work on the remaining 3 factions.

As for overachiever, it reads the info from the server, it wouldnt matter when you installed it.. i recently spotted someone who posted the following two commands which achieve the same result but without the need for an addon
/script AddTrackedAchievement(2336)
/script RemoveTrackedAchievement(2336)

Regardless of you having the title but not the credit, since you can get the title at friendly its either the case that you didnt actually get to honored OR you did something that reset the credit for achievements you havent yet completed... say for example a faction switch or realm transfer!

I didnt have overachiever installed before, cause Ive reseted my pc many times and I dont use only 1 pc. Btw it can't be a realm transfert issue cause I've tranfered my char too and I dont have nay problem. I can't sya nothing about faction change, cause I'll never be ally

Then im sorry but you have your culprit, remember after the FC the first thing that happens is you get achievement spam for 15 different achievements when you login to the char. thats down to it recalculating what you have credit for and if you didnt have bloodsail honored at that point then it wouldnt be on your achievement

I have never realm transferred so i dont know if its the same, but when you FC it essentially creates a new character for you, copies your rep over, recreates all your items etc and i know it does copy alot of achievements also but anything that was partial would be recalculated and some stuff is left till you login. biggest annoyance for me was loosing the months worth of argent tournament quest achievements and the crusader title

edit: oh and i lost parts of my loremaster, i still had the meta achievement as it was copied but the EK/Kalimdor/Borean/HowlingFjord/Dragonblight sub achievements were all lost

After having farmed the Pirate rep to honored, you now need to farm theese to EXALTED without loosing any rep at the pirates. In old days it was easy, just going Dire Maul.

Now that's a fat lie right there - repeating the Dire Maul quests was tedious, boring, and time-consuming as with anything else. So don't think that those of us who had it before Cata caught a break - it was the same shit.. Also, we had to get Shen'drelar to exalted - one of the most expensive/hardest factions to do.

But I am currently going for this on my second char - and this guide is amazing. Thanks a bunch - a big +REP to you, mate!

I'm personally asked to GMs for the rep and they said to me that now u can raise your Bloodsails rep till exalted in booty bay.

I have a well geared druid tank 362 i LVL, and get murdered by the Booty Bay NPC's so i dont see how this is possible unless your talking about grouping.

Dude, I had done the bloodsails rep before cata into Booty Bay. I've only asked GMs for some explanation if now it could be possible or not. Maybe u need a group if u want to do that into booty bay now, u're right.
