Odds are if you didn't mail the gold and made the gold "legitimately" you won't be banned. Unless blizzard has a reason to investigate your account you won't be banned.

and even if it was banned. You can get a fresh 80 for like 60 bucks if you shop around. You made at least 800 on a 400k sale. That's worth a chance at a ban imo.

Like ive stated elsewhere its all based on what server/faction you play on. what you're farming, and whether or not you're playing the auction house. Use auctioneer and scan the ah for about a week or so and it tells you what everything goes for. Pick something make a profile for it and farm the item. It's also unwise to farm the same item over and over again. Eventually supply becomes to great and you arent getting the price you were before.
