Is there hope for Exilebuddy

I am against the idea of pay for hour mainly because I
do a lot of coding and I fuck up stuff so bot gets stuck for hours.

I have 3 lifetime keys not even activated yet. I too am willing to pay monthly at an
increased price.

My offer was same... 59,98€ for one year ...means 8760 hours! so same as u say u
want to pay for one month (about 744 hours)

I take hours because for poeple like me who bot not every day/month... are able to stretch
the using of the bot over more month (eg first month 120h next 0h next 400h...).
But they pay the one month fee.

Look at all these angry boys.

Look, I am completely fine if Buddy can come up with a bot that can DO IT ALL.
I'll gladly pay for it, hell, I'll move completely to buddy.

But, just look what happened. Buddy comes up with a patch that took 40+ days,
POE comes with a small path, not even a major one, and buddy breaks completely.

I'm just pointing out to the fact that, buddy's method of injection is not reliable at all.
And if buddy wants to get paid more, then fix the method of injection first.
Copy the other guy or something.

Which translates to == code from scratch.

exile bot? and how is he?

Incomparable with the EB obviously, but it works, I use it since early 2014 to get my bots running when/if EB is down. Exile bot got map running ability before EB too. When a huge update or expansion is out there's simply no alternative.

@Urgent

Actually it can kite, but yes, it's inferior to EB, prone to stucks and not range-build-friendly. There are frequent auth server problems as well.

Something like 10 euro per session and 25 euro for 3 sessions monthly + another plan of 25 euro for one 3 month session and 60 euro 3 sessions for 3 month.

I would pay this. :)

Greetings Buddies,

our decision to close down EB, and announce it in such short period, is wheiter you believe it or not, led by financical decisions.

It sold much less than what we put in work and development hours in it. And it seems like this will be the matter if we continued the same way. For EB to be worth supporting, we have to be able to pay two developers full time, the actual income does not even bring enough to pay for half a developer.

Exilebuddy is at this current market enviroment not worth it. However, there could be a way to make it worth supporting.

If we have an income, that can cover the costs, then there is no reason to stop development. This however can not work with the actual payment model we have in place. A lifetime subscription does not help in this special case, as the manpower needed to keep up with all the changes is much much higher than with our other products.

The only possible way to go, would be a monthly based subscription at a higher price that what we charge now, and with the userbase that can then bring a break even on income.

The question would be, is there a userbase that is willing to pay a monthly price and how much would they be willing to pay. If it tends to be enough, we can look further. You can discuss freely here, i will answer at incomming questions.

@Bossland
When could we expect something to happen in case you reconsider the shutdown?

10$/sesion(maybe 25$/3 or 40/5?), i might pay, but would have to find a cheap dedicated vpn, atm dont find anything lower then 8$/ip :/(and didnt tested to see if is good), and if i consider taxes, bans and bot downtime not sure how much is worthing. Will give a try for few months but not before having a good quest plugin and an autoequip.

As much as I appreciate the fact that we are having this discussion, but we're missing some points here...

I can't speak for the community devs here, but as I have read their recent posts they were pretty frustrated and disgruntled, because no one warned them about the shutdown. They have devoted countless hours of their free time into coding and optimizing and got eff'd in the end.

The bot alone is almost useless without their plugins. What good it is if we get "empty" EB back and all the plugin devs run away because they don't want to be involved in this again?

Would the community devs continue their work, knowing that Bossland/Hawker can pull the same thing any day you want, yet again, as usual without any warning?

Besides, IIRC, in the [Official] thread Hawker said that the monthly subscription fee needs to be about 150 euros in order to maintain the bot financially. I doubt anyone here would pay that much. If i'm wrong about the amount please feel free to correct me.

Having said that i would support monthly subscriptions (10-20 euros/month per license).
But we can't have a fully functional bot without plugins, and we can't have plugins without the community devs. And we can't have community devs if Buddy staff continues to make unpredictable decisions without warning users/customers...

+1

If poe gets update we wait for eb update, when eb updates we wait for plugin update.
If you want to make monthly sub, plugins like aif, maprunner, questplugin, stashbuddy etc should be build in the bot
my profit from botting was around 40-70$ per month from 1 bot, i have been running max 8 bots, before ascendancy i had 4 left,(minimal effort required so aif+maprunner+orb pickup+custom rules, selling orbs to resellers selling ex to resellers for$)
I had tons of accs banned(vm, vpn, custom map pool, no stucks, good builds) I havent figured out their ban methods yet :( .
I can give you half of my profits its not a problem but for this i need updated plugins and i need to figure out damn bans ;p

Have 5 lifetime keys and can pay 15$ / monthly each keys. can be combo like 40$ 3 session or 50$ for 4 session a monthly

Still tried to be happy in there, because we had Pushedx,DBF,Tonyx,Tormiasz.(like a family )

Guys, Listen.

This whole Post is for those
a ballpoint on how much you want to pay
how many sessions can you buy

Please keep it on the topic, and anything else that's your opinion, please post it somewhere and not here.

Boss is very busy, and tbh, making him read irrelevant information on your opinion with no statistical merit would slow this process down.
Thanks and Please manage your expectations.

15€ seems fine if you'll allow some discount for buying in bulk. On the second hand, I don't know if everything can be like earlier, you lost people's trust, including mine. To gain it you would need to make a declaration that the bot will be supported for X time no matter what happens.

9.99$ session/month, 24.99$ session/3months

i'd say 15-20$ session/month is ok, but we must not forget about all users which are not true-hardcore-24/7 botters.

Why don't you add a Buddy Store like the one from Archeage ?
The EB bot is dependent on plugins, you can get some money from there also.

And about the monthly price, 15$ it can be too much - if there isn't any bulk discount.

I would go for a 10$/month and Buddy Store.
I don't mind paying for dev work and you also get some money from there.

I don't see this happening, people are all good and willing with the talk now - but when it comes down to it, they usually back off. Also with the very long downtime's with a pay per month model will create a lot of hate and discomfort. Over my time using buddy products, I've seen to many freeloaders as well which will completely ruin this payment model.

There are a lot of users botting for fun, however, I believe the business model built for EB should based on the RMT market. Right now, the price for Standard-Exalted Orb is €0.72 ($0.81) and Perandus - Standard-Exalted Orb is €1.44 ($1.64) in a Chinese RMT market. As we all know, the cost for botting should include electric power, VPN, computer hardware and the monthly payment for EB. Based on my experience, I can get 1 ~ 3 ex per day (10 hours) for one account. In conclusion, €15 is the highest price for the botter who want to make profit
You seem to got it wrong, the cost of the keys will be based on the average of how much ppl are willing to pay,not on your expenses.
