Expecting to bot and not get caught is like buying a car and expecting for nothing to break on it, it will eventually happen if you abuse it enough. I was apart of a previous ban wave already with a different bot, I got a new account and started again and now here I am, a little more cautious this time. My advice.. Don't make it so obvious with chars of green and blue gear and modding for more than 12 hours straight.. Take a break and come back..

sooo... i got a perma ban on my main account, she doesnt bot, i just fly similar routes for mining nodes manually when I'm bored. I mined for 3 hours one day. Next day I log in to a perma ban notice? First offence. My account has been active since BC, and was activated in vanilla. This toon was made in BC. They told me they KNEW i was botting, which is just a bull**** scare tactic, that account has never botted. Then they rephrased and said to my first ticket they ASSUMED I was botting and the decision was final. I again appealed, to then get a REAL gm who within 7 minutes of my second appeal ticket unlocked my account and gave me a long winded apology basically saying he understands that there was no proof and that mining is one of my professions and that I should be allowed to farm at my disgression. Talk about some back peddling? Some arse faced druid who got mad at me for having faster flying reported me for botting. He raged on me in whisper for 20 minutes before I logged out. That simple. They cant see HB/GB as of last wk. Since then Ive been botting on my main account just to be a jerk. lol. Alls i can say is if you get perma banned with no priors, argue it. Esp if you were using DB or GB. Dont bot for stupid long hours, enough said.

i wrote the truth, that i was not botting.
I actually literally told them "I googled mining node areas and routes for <insert name of area that has halfhill> and uldum. I dont see why I'm not allowed to farm with my chosen profession, and I dont see why I was targeted. There was a druid from another server in the area mining, and i had faster flying, so of course I ninjad nodes. He verbally abused me for about 20 minutes before I finally reported him. Your assumption of me botting is incorrect, as I dont even know how to use such a thing, and yes, I have tried so dont get snarky with me. I would like a REAL gm to please address this appeal, as clearly youre an automated response that has copy/paste as a function. My account has NEVER had any priors, and its been active since burning crusade. This account is my baby. Why in gods name would i bother losing it to something as stupid as botting? Here I am, trying to get some gold together so I can get my friend the 120k yak hes wanted since it released. This friend has actually be diagnosed with leukemia, hence why I'm going to such lengths of sitting around for hours farming ore. To answer your level of daftness, I work only in the winter months. My job has me working in remote locations of northern canada, 84 hours a wk, 21-40 days STRAIGHT. That would be why, now that I am on lay off, I suddenly am online actually doing things. So, imagine my disgust for blizzard when I woke up, and over a cup of coffee was deciding if i was going to mine for another 3 hours right away, or level my 60 rogue (on mugthol) to 75.. Why would i sacrifice said rogue, whom I level with a friend that since actually committed suicide? Are you people retarded?
I'm not requesting, I'M DEMANDING THAT A REAL LIVE BREATHING GM LOOKS INTO MY OFFENCE AND MY ACCOUNT. You're automated message saying you "assume that I was botting" I find laughable. Assumption? Can I assume then that you are actually a bot that replied? By assuming you let slip that you actually have no proof whatsoever. Good to know that you will penalize real players for farming towards a goal in the same pile as chinese gold farmers. I expect a reply before I board my next flight."

this was in 2 responses, 3 minutes apart. 12 minutes after my second response to the first nitwit copy paste gm.... I got an apology which i cant find in my stuff atm. It basically said "we apologize for the inconvenience, and all actions against the account in question have been removed/reversed. Please accept this apology, and know that all parties involved are under review at this time. If there is anything else we can assist you with please do not hesitate to open a ticket and have a nice day! <insert gm identity etc here>."

Was running gatherbuddy for the first time, got the banhammer 2 days later. I got greedy and ran it too long, but how would they have detected? Did they just make an assumption?
