How much faith will you have in HB *WHEN* it comes back?

Well, Blizzard is always about reaction instead of being really proactive. So, it will be more chasing the rabbit if (and I hope they do) Honorbuddy comes back.

From what I saw, the questing and Enyo bot were the bots used by most of the users, so I would love if those two came back. :)

If HB is still alive when my ban ends November, I will return and bot until I get banned permanently. If HB is dead, then I will not return to WoW.

Hopefully all the CRs and such that I've spent thousands of currency on will still be there too, if not then I wont be returning either. Don't want to spend another fortune on botting this game casually.

yeah im not sure what this x64 talk is about...

Blizzard will target bots where ever they crop up. Seriously think about it.... oh it's x64 we won't target that!

Sure they will. It will just take much more time and effort. Not that it's the only option now anyhow... Or wait.

Add in the boosted performance and all I can come up with is either A) you guys are using 10+ y/o hardware or B) swing so hard u should be embarrassed.

Obviously a coincidence that all the x64 bots and sw are AOK. Why? Because using x86 was an instsnt red flag.

greetings,

I have only been banned from World Of warcraft once using Honorbuddy admittedly being my own fault. after a while I got so used to running World Of Warcraft with Honorbuddy It gave me a false sense of security thinking I was untraceable. Still getting caught after a while my faith in the development team hasn't changed even after losing 3 account being inaccessible for 6 months. Blizzard just got lucky with this one and seeing how BOSSLAND won a lawsuit against them they must of been really ticked off. I have no desire of giving up after what happend and hopefully that the developers will work hard to give us a new realease just to stick it to Blizzard those non-botters laughing there *ss off right now. I stopped believing in Blizzard a long time ago seeing what's going on on there servers and now suddenly they care about fair play? don't make me laugh. all they care about is filling there pockets how they see fit.

anyway,

really looking foward to a new release guys and please keep us updated on that update will you? :o
you have a plenty of loyal subscribers backing you up here so don't give up.

Since they kept us save 5+ years and knowing they wont release anything but a "safe" bot - yep, trust is nearly 100% because you can never be sure and we all know that. Besides... without a bot, wow is crap. I'm mainly ingame because of my friends. Otherwise i would had quit a long time ago. I survived the ban hammer this time and the game is back to boring cause i dont want to do thing "by hand" ;)

Faith in HB? 0%

On every patch HB shuts down to analyze the changes and if they compromise the security of the bot. Well... Obviously they missed something. I felt rather safe in the past because of "hey, we have tripwire protection, if anything is going wrong, the client is disconnected and... mh, safe. Or some kind of. But whatever the proof of botting is that Blizzard has, it wasn't generated by a tripwire event (because I was banned too, but wasn't playing when the last two events happened). So Blizzard has won the race. They are one step ahead of HB... The good thing is, in 6 months I'll buy a month of game time, make the 3 million gold (was only missing 500k when the ban hit) and sell it (and quit with Wow). A lot of botters got caught, gold prices will more likely raise than fall. Should be a good deal.

I myself will have faith that Bossland et al. have faith in what they are doing so will continue.
This though is what i think it is all about. Blizz fuck3d HB hard this time. What kind of damage has it done to people faith in the software?

Cripple a softwares integrity enough and people wont buy it. Simple economics. This will sure as hell affect new buyers faith in the software. Some new people will still buy it but not as many as before i would think.

Absolutely 0. They received money from Blizzard via law suit and then all the sudden there is a hard detection. They're probably pissed off and out for blood.

Tripwire only monitors Warden. They can slip in hard coded detection definitions into the client (Which you'd never notice if you didn't know to look for it).

Been botting for 7 years!! got my first 6 month ban yesterday
They will get you at some point, if you believe otherwice you must be some kind of SPECIAL STUPID!!!!

I have never received a single account ban or suspension on any MMO, and didn't get hit by this one.

I believe most of the server side stuff they do is statistical, as the LUA engine is client side, and not even all LUA calls send checks to the server. There are LUA calls for stuff such as manipulating windows and such.

Faith in HB? 100%

Blizzard is so hypocritical. They cheat, i.e., scan our systems, to try to detect 3rd party assists that they call cheating.

They allow addons that automatically mill herbs but do not allow a profile that automatically fishes.

They claim manipulation of the economy when there is no appreciable difference between someone spending 3 hours farming ore and dumping it on the AH or someone using a gatherbot for half an hour and putting that same ore up for sale.

They make having top level gear the most important thing for progression and then object when people go to extraordinary lengths to get that gear.

They take the fun out of questing and object when people want to speed though that tedious part of the game. (Oh yeah, then they offer paid boosts so they can profit from it.)

They take all the intelligence and strategy out of dungeons and raids, make high DPS the only criterion for success, and then object when players cut corners to get that high DPS. Why are macros okay, but CR's aren't?

They reduce all combat down to about 3 abilities and a bunch of obscure cooldowns that people just spam, and object when players react by automating those boring, repetitive tasks.

Banning people won't stop botting; a better game will.

This. Bravo! The last sums it all perfectly.

Not really. Its false. You shouldn't have faith in any bot. You shouldn't bot on an account you care about AT all in the first place. You shouldn't even give it items or have it in the same guild as your real characters.

It is YOUR responsibility to take care of your accounts. Not Honorbuddy's. Anything they do above and beyond is good. Don't get me wrong. But it's your responsibility to read and understand the blizzard ToS.

Yup, agree

with my main account? never again... but if i get another internet connection, another account and another pc to run a 24/7 bot, i will use hb again

Agree, different IP, b.net id name, email, payment system, name, computer. I might go for a cable based IP service with DHCP so i that I can change my IP by hooking up different routers now and then and resetting. Probably can be in the same guild, just act similar to other legit toons in guild, with gold an bank tabs. Of course you could funnel mats through the AH, and just take the small 5 percent blizz AH cut.

Next time when answer please, do care to read what you reply to ... in general.

The quote you comment is completely out of the context of your answer ;)

Just 8 lines, but they summarize up the whole 10 years of World of Warcraft history.

I really hope any WoW Core developer could read this, but I really doubt :(

Gold prices will never return... Its too easy to make gold now- regardless if you bot or not.. I know legit players that make 10k a day just from there garrison.

if buddy staff decide to continue with this project, i will be there supporting 100%

this is a tough time because many people want to blame others for their misfortune. hb has had many, many years of great service, despite the bugs to not have faith in their skills. and isnt this whats its really about, faith in the buddystaff's skills to keep us safe?

same....even if price grow a little to have a better security....

If they do decide to continue which I think they really should, not for me but to show there strength and big balls... I'll be ready to go once my 6 month suspension is up nofuqsgivin yohlo

I for one have 100% faith in HB, and when they release a new bot i will show Blizzard i don't really care about my accounts and i WILL bot again, Tbh even if they had perma banned my accounts, i would have just taken a break and done other things, then created new accounts and BOT them to 100, so if Blizz thinks they have won this round they can think again, wow a 6 month ban, do i care? NO, If Blizz thinks they have put those people who they have banned from botting, boy have Blizz got it wrong, I refuse to use any other bot apart from HB, and the reason why? They are the number 1 bot for WOW and they will continue to be the number 1 bot for wow for many years to come.

LONG LIVE HONORBUDDY AND BOSSLAND!!!

I will have the same faith I always had - 100%.

Actually I will go full force once the bot will be back, something I never did before. Blizzard acts like a little pissed kid, so we can act like that as well. And I'm sure we will, at least most of us.

Already planning my future accounts.

I think everyone knew that this would come eventually. You read about the risks all over, so to me, I am quite amazed at just how long it actually took them to figure out a detection method.

There is no way I get any enjoyment out of playing the game without a bot, so it is either wait for the guys at HB to find out what happened or just not play again. I have no real attachment to my account after so many years, if I did, I wouldn't bot.

I am quite amazed at just how long it actually took them to figure out a detection method.

See, that is the crux of it all. No-one, besides Bl!zz, knows how long it has been detected. The whole lawsuit in germany rests on the fact that HB is undetectable and therefor is costing Bl!zz money. But after Bossland the company won a small yet important case the other day against them all of a sudden everyone is banned. If it is proven that Bl!zz can detect and then stop HB what lawsuit do they have? IF and it is IF they can detect HB and shut it down then what's the point?

Back once again to Glider. It took a client exe to take them down. Not Warden, which is a joke ofc. And to me it looks like the same thing here. But again, if they can detect HB what's the point of the lawsuit? Obviously they can take HB down whenever they want. As we all knew they could. At least, those of us that have been around the block a time or 2 did.

That does not take anything away from my OP. I trust in HB to protect us as far as is possible. I trusted in them as much now as i did in 2010 when hawker said "Hey! Come check this PvP bot out" on the glider forums. Do not take that as "Fucking idiot. How can/do you trust in a system that is by default flawed?" ;) OR do *shrug* my wife and i have had fun with HB for half a decade so wtfe :) And you tell me for $100 can you get any more fun for 5 years with that amount of cash?

So once again, yes i will have faith in HB *when* it is back up but for now...rotation bots ftw ;)
