How much faith will you have in HB *WHEN* it comes back?

I myself will have faith that Bossland et al. have faith in what they are doing so will continue.
This though is what i think it is all about. Blizz fuck3d HB hard this time. What kind of damage has it done to people faith in the software?

Cripple a softwares integrity enough and people wont buy it. Simple economics. This will sure as hell affect new buyers faith in the software. Some new people will still buy it but not as many as before i would think.
 
if buddy staff decide to continue with this project, i will be there supporting 100%

this is a tough time because many people want to blame others for their misfortune. hb has had many, many years of great service, despite the bugs to not have faith in their skills. and isnt this whats its really about, faith in the buddystaff's skills to keep us safe?
 
I would like to Subscribe to a newsletter that sends me that mofo the day it's released. And I'll bot in peoples faces until the day I can't afford any more permabans.
 
If it is brought back up I find it very unlikely if honorbuddy retains its current functionality it will be safe in any sense any time soon. It would seem they can push out many more warden updates with the modules delivered over extended periods of time, to the point where the bot would be shut off nearly all the time due to being unable to analyze every module or risk being banned by a new module you have no idea what info it is collecting or sending back.. if any.
 
If it comes back as only combat and questing then that is enough for me for awhile. That's a lot more ideal then the entire project where it was coming back anytime soon.
 
even an integrated combat/questing bot. you could use the questing botbase with a blank profile for your CR.

That's fine and all...BUT...*devils advocate and all* Hashes, hooks etc. once more, who knows what Bl!zz knows? I have been with HB since well...2010 obviously. As soon as Hawker came onto Gliders boards and said "hey" in fact. Glider, OB and HB best 3 public/non clientless bots there have been. Period.

Pirox was good for what it was. R3bot is the next best thing to HB...for good reasons if you know. Back in the day Wow# was the shit and then it moved on. Now it seems *I* am the one rambling :D
 
i am so bummed out. I quit before WoD, but resubbed and found this out yesterday. I loooooved HB, would I have faith in them again, 100%. I really, really, hope it comes back

Been botting for 7 years!! got my first 6 month ban yesterday
They will get you at some point, if you believe otherwice you must be some kind of SPECIAL STUPID!!!!
 
Hrmm..

Considering they have no idea how there software was detected- I cant see HB coming back from this- with out risking everyone's accounts again..

If bossland where to say- I righto we found out how it happen- we can fix this then sure- HB would come back, But from the official post from bossland- they have NFI what happen..
 
i wil have faith but i lost in the past 8 9 accounts and they where all permantly banned on the account where im lvling now i wont be botting there on i dont wanna lose the account i only start botting again once they figured out where the bans are coming from.

Fuck i hate being right about wrong things :/ And as far as they not knowing how the software got detected. I am pretty sure they do by now,
 
What i don't understand is I thought the whole point of "tripwire" was to detect changes within wow which may make HB detectable. So why weren't those changes caught ?

All i'm saying is that tripwire has activated several times in the past (and been given the all clear a few hours later) so what did blizz do differently this time which avoided setting it off ?

It's more of a curiosity question than a complaint against HB.
 
Let's set the way back time machine.
Some will remember OB and Glider, some wont.

OB , just for lulz Innerspace Bots / OpenBot was doing the whole Mesh thing, that fucking lamp post as you enter AV as horde was a BITCH btw, and Glider was doing the whole pathing thing. Some say that the DEV of OB told Mikey how to avoid warden...or at least that's what Bl!zz claimed. There was never any proof of this ofc but hey, what does that matter. Blizz called and OB went away, as far as automated programs went anyways, Blizz called and Glider didn't...right away. But US of A being as it is and money talks, Glider did go away.

Glider never did come back because of judges that either were retarded or didn't know better or were owned by EA/Bl!zz. HB is being tried in Germany where the laws are quite different from USA. Are the judges there less corruptible? I have no idea. Are Judges and trial members more informed about technology these days? Inlcuding DMCA and IP rights? I hope so.
