So, here is what I have been doing lately. Since my latest ban anyway. And it seems to be working pretty well. YMMV, but if you just want to make silver, its not a bad way to do it.
1. Load up some artillery. I personally use one or two from each country - whichever one I am "grinding" and a personal favorite, if there is one (SU26 for example is always a good one).
2. Instead of using default artillery routine which is nothing more than "stand where you spawn and shoot shit", try using the "Default Battle Tank" routine instead. You still must select Default Artillery for the Target Provider, for obvious reasons.
I found that it will generally head off along the path, much like a real artillery would do, then when it locks on to a target, it stops, spins and shoots it. Is it the most accurate this way? probably not, but then again, the bot doesn't WAIT for the reticle to narrow anyway, so who gives a shit. I fount I get about the same amount of hits either way, but you look far lass like a bot than sitting exactly where you spawned with your gun aimed at the ground.
Now - Phase two of this, is me figuring out how to make my own paths, where on each map I can direct the arty to a specified waypoint - a popular arty spot, or near one in case of multiple arties. If it wasn't such a pain in the ass to do things with the bot it would be done already. I mean after all we are still waiting for the meshes for the last guy who gave up waiting for the meshes to completely revamp the paths for the whole community.
Sigh.
