nah, you are right there. should indeed be carefull witht his kind of stuff. still the 4th mail i got stated that they are going to look at the log aggain, and they might just remove some items ect. and give it back...btw my wife uses HB 2 and is not banned...she was playing with hb enabled...always she never did anything else then running a rotation (king dpriest) how come she is not banned as she playes allot always with HB (she stopped playing when HB went down though)

I edited my post again, so take a look at it.

As for your wife, I don't know. Everything is just speculation. There may have been a certain time that a tripwire was activated that went unnoticed, and she was lucky enough to not be botting during that time, so she was spared.

I've been using my own bot to fish and I got caught too. I guess it's not only HB's problem.
About the ban - I exeggerated a bit with time - been fishing for around 10 hours, so maybe it was suspicious for them and they checked me.
However they suspended my account only for 3 days - "final warning".
I wonder how do they know, if people are using third party software...
I've never used HB, but if they can check the processes running on our computers, maybe random name process instead of standard "HonorBuddy" would be a solution?

Another thing - when I got my account back, my character was standing in other place than I left it for fishing. Why?

what you people don't understand is that a software detection doesn't mean 100% of users will be banned. the detection is only going to be enabled for short periods of time for efficiency reasons, as long as they catch a decent enough portion of the userbase then it is job done, the fact your wife's second cousin twice removed avoided a ban doesn't mean we need to come up with conspiracy theories about what happened.

If it makes you feel any better you really are not important enough for this to be your fault. So 100 000 users being banned had nothing to do with you.

That aside. I recommended to my mate to use the bot as I had gone a couple of years without issue. A week later and bang, his account is banned. So I bought him a new one

Please stick it to blizzard file those charge backs and Stop playing. What ever method they have worked for them in stopping you from playing. It's the first ban in AGES. Hardly a reason to cry and quit. New account, make it a sub account, you'll keep all your achievs, mounts, etc - just not the toons, gold or items.

google is your friend. then look on the forums of " " bot.. and u will see. others got banned as well.
