HB ARCHIVES: TheBrodieman's Profile Compendium--DO NOT DELETE

Hey Brodieman,

As promised ran your profile on a Goblin Rogue today after deleting all the cache folders and making sure no previous dailies are in my log.. I am trying to upload the logs but it is lagging heavily, i tried to let it run automatically and if there was any interference it was for movements.. well in the beginning that is.

Cloud Serpents: Looks like all were done (for some reason it kept trying to ground mount all the way from the quest location to the Arboretum).
Shado-Pan: Had a bit of pathing issues due to being a goblin. In some cases i got stuck under the dome thingies.. Might be why it did all but 2/4 of A Morale Victory.
The Anglers: Done except for the pathing issue under the pier (took over manually)
The August Celestials: Kun-Li today. Did the first "defeat the..." quest then stopped infront of Xuen.
The Tillers: Did all the quests except for Sho. The one where we kick the candles into the fire.
Landfall: looks complete with no issues.

Isle of Thunder: was horrible... on the skumblade quest (where you transform) it kept trying to kill the ones around the pacifying aura (the npc you talk to) it also had trouble clicking a mob if it fell on the firepits.
for some unknown reason either questing here or levelling rep.. it keeps going to one skumblade and one turtle in particular and smacking it (neither give any rep or are quest related) then continues... this time it did that and killed a couple of the guards around the middle gazebo thingie.

Also as i was making my way to part 2 of the quests for some reason it goes all the way to the top right of the map to drop agro then runs all the way back to the phased quest giver. The quest where you draw the spirit of the sentry might need rework.... it would target the sentries, kill them.... not use the quest item on their corpse... kill mobs for the other quest... kill new Sentries to use the item... if my toon is in a Ragezone and i kill a couple of sentries it will not register... then it would run all the way to the top right corner once all the quests are complete then run to the phased area to turn them in.

For the quest where you kill Itiro i think... it will not deactivate the 4 conduits to break his shield and will just stand there wailing on him for nothing.

Finally it will not take the followup quest to loot the hidden vault.

Klaxxi: will not work at all saying that i am not sufficiently progressed... i think this is because while i unlocked some not all have been unlocked.

Cloud Serpent: Yeah every now and then HB thinks its faster to walk than fly...Profile tells it to prefer flying, but HB gets the last word on that.

Shado-Pan: You should report all mesh issues to the mesh issue post on the forums, so they can be dealt with. Added a check to Morale Victory, so it should no longer continue on unless it got the interaction it intended to.

The Anglers: Same as Cloud Serpent. I've tried to fine-tune the landing a hundred times, but its all luck, based on character size, mount size, direction you're coming in on...landing is never guaranteed.

August Celestials: Can you provide a log file of that?

The Tillers: Did it pick up the quest, but not complete it? Or not get it at all?

Isle of Thunder: Let me guess, it ran inside, then ran outside? Troubling issue with HB, where even though it's told to ignore combat, the minute it gets to where it needs to, it decides it should go back to the original location and kill everything you came across. Running away to drop agro I don't know why it would do that. Things like that are not profile controlled. For all your quest related issues I need to see your log files. The quest where you kill the boss that requires you to click things is NOT FULLY SUPPORTED. There is no way to break combat and interact with things, let alone avoid ground AoE, without some seriously heavy duty QB coding, to which I have not done. Also, any quests beyond that point are, for the most part, not supported.

Klaxxi: Cache corruption. Follow the instructions on page 1, that will fix it. Common problem with people with multiple characters.

Just in case people are watching but didn't notice: Eastern Kingdoms Loremaster is now complete for both factions! Kalimdor is underway, nearing the 50% mark, with more coming often. Stay tuned for more updates and good luck on your grinds!

Thanks for this brilliant collection thebrodieman. Been using the Emperor Shaohao Rep grind for a while now on the timeless isle. I found a couple of problems with it:

1. It goes north and fights Burning Berserkers towards the Blazing way even when you aren't geared enough. For me it meant a dying cycle until I interrupted the profile.
2. When it goes north to the Blazing Way it attacks the groups of mobs that include Kilnmasters and Chanters near the Cauldron of Flames, many are often pulled and it and always results in death.
3. At the south- Firewalker ruins, it drops off the edge every so often usually around 52, 83. It gets stuck there and doesn't swim back round.

I make no guarantees as to the level of your gear to your survivability. I don't do any checks that check whether or not you can survive a specific mob. Sorry. The profile is designed to only pull specific creatures. While some do come in groups, avoiding group ones would mean that it only pulls one or two possible locations overall. There is no instruction to tell it to pull one group, and then another. If it is pulling multiple groups like this, it isn't because the profile tells it to. The "jumping off the cliff" issue is because the bot is trying to avoid a spell. However the avoidance code tells it only to strafe left or right while circling around a fixed point, the fixed point being the mob itself. If you are a ranged character, standing at 30 yards out, this will create a very large circle. Only way for me to truly fix that is to have the profile only farm in the dead center of the plateau, or not avoid spells. I have tried to have it walk towards the creature, but sometimes will walk back considering that too close is not safe spot and it wants to move further away. I apologize that the bulk of my testing is done with melee characters.

Isle of Thunder PVE

Having lots of problems with this one.

My hunter's first time in Isle of Thunder, however after completing the first or second quest, the bot kept stopping with "Previously completed quests detected" error. Cleared WoW's cache and HB's cache, but continued to get the error. Quit trying at that point, and finished the quests by hand.

I tried the again the following day, and this time it completed the first set of quests, but barely (log file for this and the following issues attached). Bot kept getting stuck on roots, and took a beating from mobs without fighting back. Made it the the Hatchling Skyscreamer area with about 10% health, however the mobs stopped chasing after that. The bot spent the next 20-30 minutes getting stuck at the base of the ridges, trying to reach the Hatchling above it. It would do this for several minutes, move a few feet down the ridge, then do the same, basicall repeating this behavior over and over, every now and then taking a break by selecting a Hatchling on the ground or attacking a mob. After about 30 min it finally selected enough Hatchlings to complete the quest.

On the return he was again attacked without defending, even though while stuck on a tree root he dismounted, and ran the rest of the way to the quest turn in are with about 10% health remaining.

He then took off to the plateua area for the next set of quests, however was killed by the mobs he agro'd along the way before reaching his destination. He resurrected and made it to the next quest pickup, but then he targeted a mob and started attacking. However, since the bot was inside the "dome" that surrounds the quest givers, he was "pacified" and could not attack. So while the bot just stood there, HB kept trying to spam attacks, while nothing was happening in game other than the "pacified" message spamming the screen.

I intervened by clicking right outside the dome, and the bot killed the targeted mob, however the bot then stopped with another "Previously completed quests detected" error. HB/TBM had not been stopped/restarted since initially started. At this point, I decided to post seeking help.

Thanks and please advise.

Brother, thank you for your efforts on this. It really rocks! Is there a way to automate this with arelog or hbrelog? Looking to loop through my toons to plant songbell seeds and blast through dailies. I have searched high and low to no avail. Thanks, please advise. KCCO.

edit: this was a new TBM install (which updated and was then restarted) on a new HB install.

What a lot of people fail to read is that the Previously Completed Quests Detected popup ACTUALLY says that it has detected that quests were either completed TODAY or PREVIOUSLY. If you cleared your cache, then the former is most likely the answer. There is also a "Continue" button on that popup. Pushing that will continue through the profile. The cache issue is as such: Quests are mistakenly seen as completed, when they are in fact not yet done. The only issue would be that it doesn't do a quest because it thinks you already did, and you'll see it get stuck at the turn in npc trying to hand in the quest.

If your character is getting stuck on the environment, these are mesh/nav issues. To report these, please follow the instructions on the "Nav/Mesh Issues" posting on the HB forums. Profiles do not control avoidance of various doodads and gameobjects thru nav. (Yes, we could make 4000000 blackspots...but its much more efficient to fix the mesh, so everyone can use it in their work).

I used to have the bot stop every time it entered combat. Stop, dismount, fight, remount, continue. However the issue with that was after about 30 mins, it was actually further away from the intended target than started, and still pulling mobs. Mob density is heavy in a LOT of the new areas. For this reason, I've employed the use of disabling combat while moving between certain spots to avoid an endless cycle of pulling, fighting, dying, restarting, remounting, rinse repeat. If your character is not geared to handle taking on the mobs in this area in excess of 2-3, you may want to try Timeless Isle for extra gear. Then again, it could be that you happened to have pulled a lot, got dazed, and got unlucky there.

The Hatchling Skyscreamer quest is not the best in the world for a computer to analyze. HB determines if a path to X object is valid, and if so, its ok to head for. The paths are determined by the mesh. If the mesh says you can walk up this hill, then who is the bot to complain? Since about half of these mobs are on unpathable hills, blacklisting them would result in...well...taking about the same amount of time in a smaller area, and a bot running back and forth in a small line. Neither looks good, but we work with what we have.

The "domes" were another tricky issue. They pacifiy the player, making it unable to cast ANYthing. However at the PROFILE level, there isn't a way to instruct the bot that "hey, im inside here, move out to fight!" Which is also why you see the bot run out of the dome for a good 20-30 yards before mounting up. Unless the CR is programmed to detect the dome aura, and move from it, you're going to get stuck here. But mobs attacking (or trying to attack you) while in the dome is not supposed to happen, that would reflect that a mob bugged out, or combat was not properly dropped upon entering the dome (WoW issue).

In short:
1) Click continue on the popup if you know you cleared your cache properly.
2) Stuck on stuff? Snap a pic, grab a hotspot, post to the mesh issues board
3) Profiles can't control combat movement, and isle of thunder is one I would NOT recommend AFK'ing...too much can happen.

The profiles (for now) are located in the Default Profiles\TBMC folder. You can set up Arelog for those! The dailies, I'm not sure are compatible based on how the plugin is "activated" through the UI. While individual profiles can be accessed, the swapper code requires you to activate it through the UI first. If you do find a way feel free to let us know, but as far as I'm aware, the full dailies run isn't arelog/hbrelog compatible.

Thanks for your reply.

Regarding the combat, the issue wasn't whether the char can handle it (gear level is 525), it's that he was dismounted and took continual beatings trying to reach the quest turn in/quest giver. I understand the logic of disabling combat while moving, but if the character isn't mounted AND not fighting back, well.... not good. Is there logic within either the CR or the profile that would detect whether the char was mounted or not, and ignore or engage based on that?

IIRC pushing the "continue" button just looped to the popup window offering that same option over and over, but I'm not 100% sure if I cleared the cache prior; I think I shut the bot down, cleared the cache, then restarted it... I'll check again to be certain.

Thanks again.

Hey bro.

I can't load celestial profile.

I deleted the folders:
1) Close out HB and WoW completely.
2) Delete Honorbuddy/Cache/
3) Delete WoW/Cache/
4) Delete WoW/Data/Cache/
5) Delete Battlenet Cache:
-- Win7: C:/ProgramData/Blizzard Entertainment/
-- WinXP: C:/Documents and Settings/All Users/Application Data/Blizzard Entertainment/
6) Reload and run

But I just get this: "Bot stopping! Reason: Nothing more to do."

I even tried clean install, but still have same problem.

It doesn't pick up quest or anything

Did it actually move close enough to the quest giver to see that they had no quest? If there is no kicker quest available, then it can't continue. The kicker is required to determine where to go.

My bad, so silly.

Really appreciate it

Crystal of Insanity

Hey Brodie, u rly need to implement a check for the casting on the crystal.
My bot constantly tries to use it when its on cooldown, and it got off CD when i was flying, so it dismounted me, and ofc the bot died.
Then again constant spamming on the crystal...

LOL bet THAT was fun. No idea that it would override the "dont allow things cast while flying" block that wow had built in. I'll work something up.

EDIT: It should not be trying to cast if its on cooldown at all. The only code that exists for its use is solely dependant on it NOT being on cooldown. If it's spamming it's use, I don't think its from my plugin.
A change has been added: It will now only use items if they are not on cooldown AND we are not flying. This will be in the next release, as I'm working on UI updates and can't push at this time.

Hey Brodie,

i checked the logs a bit today, could it be that Singular (last version - 3391) is trying to use the Crystal?

[19:23:53.720 N] (Singular) [CombatLog] SPELL_CAST_FAILED Visions of Insanity#127230 failure: 'Item is not ready yet'
[19:23:54.953 N] (Singular) [WoWRedError] Item is not ready yet.
