HB ARCHIVES: Singular--DO NOT DELETE

Still receiving too many bug/question posts regarding behavior users watched that don't contain a complete log file and point of reference to when a single event happened. So, no multi-color bright lights this time. Just a simple request to provide the detail.

*NEW* The Class Config window now has a LOGMARK! button. This button provides the same behavior as the LOGMARK plugin. Having a problem while running Singular that you want to report? Click the LOGMARK button immediately when you notice. A line will be added to the log file at that time and now you have a very accurate way to let me know when the problem occurred.

Worth mentioning one more time due to the large number of posts without log files that are received, but you must attach a complete debug log with any post. Please see the above link for details.

Ok, now that's out of the way:

- Download the latest version of Singular.ZIP from Post #1 in this thread

- .ZIP in Singular thread will always be the current version

- HonorBuddy will contain an older version until a new release of HB posts

This is a quick release with fixes for several reported bugs (thank you for taking the time to post!) Also include are several refinements to the GUI, including the LOGMARK! button mentioned above. Please give that a try to become familiar with it.

Any post must include a debug log file (a file created with Debug Logging set to true.) To do this, click Class Config and set the Debug Logging option to 'true' then run until you create the issue again. The resulting log file will contain more info than a standard log file which will be essential in understanding the decisions being made by Singular which you weren't expecting.

As always, the prior version is still available for download. If you encounter a problem due to the new release of Singular you can always downgrade as needed.

fixed - Shadow - Vampiric Embrace now references correct target in estimating time to death.  previously would always cast if player health < 65%

fixed - All Specs - Redirect was in some circumstances (mostly PVP) being cast upon player that already had combo pts, resulting in an fail cast error message spam fest.

change- All Specs - AOE abilities disabled in Battlegrounds and Arena.  will use single target abilities only

***edit*** updated log, i let him die 3 or 4 Times so you see at this Timestamp he runs back to the Corpse get him back in life but doesnt fight back.

Hello Bobby, I couldn't find any request template on this thread so I'm gonna ask right away.

Is it possible to implement "Always stealth" option for Rogue's which I've seen in other discontinued CR's?
This option would be great when questing / farming because rogue's are pretty squishy and when getting ganked/aggro multiple mobs on the way to hotspot you die very often.
If this option would be available you won't be seen that much by other players/mobs making it alittle bit easier doing the job and also when the CR is moving around in a questing area it won't aggro multiple targets (hopefully) which reduce deaths.
Would be great if it could stealth after killing mobs, when moving between hotspots (if the hotspot is close, ex 10-30yards, else use mount).

Is it possible you think?

As per Mendenbarr's post "Advanced Death Knight Tactics & Festerblight" on the Elitist Jerks Death Knight Forums:

In the case of dual wield, even before stacking mastery, 2 howling blasts hit harder than an obliterate, and as such howling blast takes a far more prominent spot in our priority. Unfortunately, while both frost and death runes can be used for said howling blast, unholy runes cannot, often leaving us with 2 ugly green runes to get rid of before we can go back to spamming HB and FS. (single target)
There are three ways to get rid of unholy runes, let's see which is the best.
Death and decay: 63.7k dmg
Plague strike: 31.0k dmg + 162.2k (full duration disease, 16.2k per 3 seconds)
Obliterate: 105.5k dmg +45% chance for free HB = 151.7k dmg
HB: 102.7k dmg

Obviously your best bet is double HBs whenever possible, but let's say you have 1 unholy and 1 frost/death, what should you do?
In order from best to worst:

  • Using plague strike and HB gives 295.9k dmg IF diseases are about to fall off
  • Using plague leech, plague strike and two howling blasts gives 236.4k dmg
  • Using DnD and HB gives 166.4k dmg
  • Using obliterate gives 151.7k dmg
  • Using plague strike and HB gives 133.7k dmg
  • Ignoring the unholy rune and just spending the frost/death on HB gives 102.7k dmg

While it's true you can use plague strike and howling blast at half disease duration and count the 50% refresh as 80k dmg, it prolongs the ability to fully refresh diseases via the top option for 15 seconds, and is therefore not a damage gain. If blood plague is not just about to fall off, count it as if it isn't refreshing at all. This includes times when you use PL to take BP off early.

So, if diseases are about to fall off, plauge leech is off cd, or dnd is off cd, use the above options to remove unholy runes, otherwise just use obliterate if you have to.

Note: Due to DW's current state of being close to GCD locked most of the time, we need to reexamine the way to deal with unholy runes. While the above-mentioned list is accurate in terms of numbers, obliterate is more complicated than it seems. Obliterate has two possibilities, it either does 105.5k in one GCD, or 208.2k dmg in 2 GCDs. While we can average this out easily, as done above, the GCD cost has to be considered. Using DnD/HB does slightly more than obliterate on average, but costs 2 GCDs. Using obliterate over DnD is a gain if you are GCD capped. Depending on luck, you'll either gain free damage with the rime proc, or gain a GCD which will avoid overflowing resources which will be a damage gain. If you are not GCD capped, DnD/HB wins out.

daemon9, Yes, as EJ is the base design doc for Frost DPS will definitely review that and incorporate spell priority changes in release next week. Release I am about to post is a quick fix for last nights release.

I added a quick fix for the issue that tumbum was getting and has been so helpful in providing data for. Rather than a new release and post I refreshed my earlier one here [CLICK HERE]

I won't be online this weekend so please read the change history carefully, follow the steps in Reporting Bugs [CLICK HERE] if you encounter an issue, and remember that prior release is always available for download if you need to downgrade to an older version to work around a problem encountered for some reason.

tumbum, I just posted a quick release update which was intended to be included in the prior one. What is impacting your characters is:

The blacklisting was causing some evade handling code still in Singular to not attack the mob that was attacking it. That was the change in the latest release for you. At this point, Singular should fight back unless the Quest Behavior or other component that is moving you (in the Activity statement above) is not calling the Combat behavior while your toon is in Combat. Got a Problem with my fresh lvl1 Warrior Dwarf. At the moment i dont know if this is Profile related (Cava lvl Profile) or a Singular CR Problem.
As Warrior he stays to far away to kill the Mobs.

I know i can change the Pull Distance in the Settings. But if this is a Profile related thing i will inform Cava about this to change. If this is a Singular one, than its for you.

i didnt even see one single targetmob list invalid with fpsware and fpsware always attacks with spells and with his cc i done all quest on the boat in deepholm it never targeted the wrong quest giver and got stuck there. because i was annoyed with the boat quest in deepholm if you get stuck and bot stops you need to do all quest self there and now with fpsware cc it does evrything right over there. it also target the right quest givers and not another one who is there
 
I've noticed that many times the shaman doesn't get close enough to the enemy by 2-3 yards to actually attack and it will just stand there like an idiot until it afk's and DC's!

My log is huge or I would post it I will restart and try and get a smaller one. Catch it while its doing it. But keep getting stuff like this. Just stands there until I die. im using clu for now and fpsware cc and i dont have it with them you should try them it fixed my problem i also had this alot
 
FPSWARE stuff hasn't been updated since November and CLU is discontinued. Bobby will get it fixed, just takes time. But thanks

Ruinit, Thanks for taking the time to post. Compressing a huge log to .ZIP should be sufficient, however I don't seem to be able to open the .ZIP attached. Could you recompress and upload the same log file again? Thanks for your help, Bobby53
