I'm fairly certain this is my fault, but I can't for the life of me figure out what I'm doing wrong here.

Every time I load Honorbuddy (I've tried numerous fresh installs), I update Kick's SVN and then copy the QuestBehaviors folder over into the HB folder. I've made sure not to delete the QB folder entirely, just to copy the Kick's files over. But when I open HB and try to load a Kick's profile, I get an error message that says "Error in QuestBehaviors!" and then HB crashes. I'm at a loss.

Hi, Copasetic, and thanks for the log.

From the log, it is clear you've somehow managed to duplicate many Quest Behaviors. Alas, the way the compiler works, it only reports one of the duplicates, so I can't tell you where the other duplicate lies.

For the while, we've quit making quest behavior updates available through Kick's subversion. Obviously, they are error-prone to get installed correctly.

I would suggest doing another clean install, and do not bother copying the quest behaviors from Kick's subversion (they should be empty now, anyway).

Hi, RoloTomasi, and thanks for the log.

As clearly stated in the message you quoted, that is just a warning, and the behavior works the same as it always has.

As to your toon dying...
this log shows that you have completed the quest, and have moved considerably past the "Elemental Energy" quest.

This seems to be your problem:

You should also probably disable the Rarekiller plugin, as it appears to be interfering with profile operations.

It looks like Honorbuddy has completely stalled, and is not executing profile or combat routine directives. Obviously, not a problem with Kick's profile pack, and should probably be reported to the Honorbuddy Release thread.

Behavior is afres described above. Not sure if a profile issue or an HB issue but seemed to be working ok with Cava until I outleveled the profile but there have been several HB updates since then and I can't pinpoint whether it started after an HB update or after I switched back to the Kick profiles.

I have no clue what Honorbuddy is doing, but it is obviously not executing the collect directive that the profile has issued.

There are serious target filter and other changes going on in the Beta at the moment. You should go back to Release.

And, no, the thread is not dead. My responsibility is as a developer. I just help out in the forums as much as I can. But, there are times I simply get swamped in work, and must disappear from the forums. Kick has other things going on in RL, and I don't know how much time he has to dedicate any more.

After manualling doing the quest item by hand, he will hand in fine and continue for 1 or 2 more quests before it bugs on another quest, stay tuned for more logs.

From the log, the correct command was issued to the WoWclient:
[17:55:41.319 D] Activity: RunLua: UseItemByName(34669) 1 number of times while waiting 1000 inbetween​

Alas, this command is 'open loop'. So, we've no way to tell is were you moving or have some other untoward interaction that prevented the action from completing.

You have a number of these in your log:
[17:54:42.568 N] Error trying to save the settings file: The requested operation cannot be performed on a file with a user-mapped section open.​

And one occurred around the time of the interact. Its possible this caused the interference. You should make a post in the Support forum, and see about getting that problem cleaned up.

Also, in v2657 of the profile pack, I've added a small delay after the dismount to make certain the toon is not moving before the attempt is made to use the item.


As to 'opening and closing' the NPC dialog on an uncompleted quest, that is a cache corruption issue. Instructions for getting that cleaned up here:

Update: Earlier, I was starting the profile from Horde-85-86 The Jade Forest and letting it read through all of the quests then move me to where I needed to be. Tried again, doing the same thing with the Bot sitting in the right spot, with same result. Just tried again. However, this time I loaded 86-87 Valley of the Four Winds and everything is working as it should. Maybe something is changing the pull distance at the end of Jade Forest and it's not getting changed back at the beginning of the next profile? Just a thought.

Same issue with release. I'm going to say this is a problem with HBcore's AvoidanceManager, and you should make a post either into the Support forum or the Honorbuddy Release thread regarding this issue.

It looks like you didn't start with a new directory when you upgraded Honorbuddy. Please follow these instructions for doing a 'clean install'.

Also, you should find that Kick's profile pack no longer supplies quest behavior updates--just use the shipped ones.

But the important thing it had "Megzeg Nukklebust" as the vendor name. But the problem is that he is only a quest giver. So the bot just stood there with the conversation window opened and did nothing.

It looks like your Honorbuddy to WoWclient communication started having issues while you were waiting for the elevator. Once Honorbuddy can no longer reliably communicate with the WoWclient, no telling what will happen.

Appreciate the feedback, but ive also had this on several other toons, ill test on my next toon that is just about to pass through there and see if i get the same result, i have experienced this on 4 toons so far.

When i load Kickazz 1 - 12 or the 12 - 58 profile my Honorbuddy crashes. Other profiles are working fine from other users, don't know what the problem is.

hi Kick nice work so far,
ive got a problem often when my char talks to a npc for a quest he use ghostwolf or use mount, so he cant start a quest

Love the profile; there is a quest, when you go to kill the naga in blackfathom deeps/gather the crystals, where your character gets stuck trying to go under water so you can get into the grotto
