Maybe you can add this:
Another way to find private buyers for gold is some kind of recruit a friend for goldselling.
This requires you to have at least one buyer on that server.
Then you send your buyer(s) a message that if they find someone who buys gold from you they will get 10% (or whatever you like) of the gold this guy buyed added to their next order.
Almost everyone who buys gold knows someone else who buys gold and they always want to have some extra gold

A: Well there are various ways, depending on the competency of your realm

When a noob in /2 asks for gold, simply state:

/2 Sure, i'll give you 1000g if you simply paypal me $5 (or you can say 10k for $50, etc) and sometimes people will bite (especially in the evening)


/2 WTS 15000g
<wait 1 minute for trolls>
/2 er, WTS XX item 15000g xD (xx item being a bike or some rare pet or item) <--- sometimes you get bites on this such as "how much"

The best thing to do is invite them to instant msg you, or sign onto your vent and talk / use the text chat

You can join a GDKP run and ppl who are poor or complain "damn I just busted 20k on H DFO" ... you state "I can give ya 20k for $100 haha" and some ppl will PM you if you're serious, or ask you if you are... or say "how do we get money to u?" and you always always always always take the next bit of your conversation OUT OF GAME and onto vent / vent text / messengers / email

Isn't there a rather big chance that this will score me a ban?
Have you talked to people in-game about goldselling often? And have you been banned often?

I used to micromanage A LOT on EQ2, just about every rare I farmed would sell for 3x more if I made it into something.. but I found this to be such a drain on time after micro managing two servers.. with having to craft through 4 different crafters, and usually each crafter took an hour to finish the list of thigns I sold (kept 3 of each item).. so I'd spend a good 5 hours some days to finish up all the recrafting/listing of both servers.. burnt me out pretty quick. How long do you think it takes now?

I just do straight ore selling/herb selling so I dont have to spend much time, but I know I'm missing out a bunch by not using my crafters.. I just like to be able to log on quick and get it moved then log off.. rather than spending half my day crafting things (smelting is such PITA) for a little more profit. I do work FT so at end of the day I come home exhausted and just want it to be wham bam..

Those are some good tips on private gold buyers, I'd just be anxious that one of them might get mad at me and /report.. even though I guess its their ass too if I get caught. I also wouldnt do ito n my main toons, I try to keep my AH toon unknown to my friends/guildies on my main.. but shouting as a level 1 selling gold is red flag.

I'd still do EQ2 if it was worth it, it used to be $8/100 plat and I'd make about 2k plat a week on one server.. so 4k total but now it's down to 5 and people seem to notice bots a lot more there (even though it took 7 warnings to get a suspension on one of my harvest bots lol!). I came back to WoW farming since the bots were more lifelike, but yeesh so much more risky with getting caught.

Yep I know exactly how you feel bud, I only micro manage 1 server (my main w/ my raiders) and I keep an extra bot or 2 to help me sell cheap to my guildies w/ insane deals. But as far as the ore goes... i only kept the tita ore (for powders for my JC and guildy JC's) and I got rid of the saronite ore... but the benefit of having 2 main accts that dont bot is that you can have your smelter / miller / prospector on the 2nd acct (or main and 2nd) and watch tv while both of them are at it, or raid / play / pvp w/ ur guildies while the other one works for u... and u still have all of ur bot accts up and running 100%

Aaaand to the ppl who has problems with looting - switch off other addons i had same problem - started looting after i turned off the NoBoPWarning Addon

There's always a risk of getting banned while trying to sell gold in game. My best advice is to not use an account you care about while you do it.

When fishing near a pool of fish on my druid it will fish successfully once and sometimes twice then switch to Travel Form, fish again, switch to Travel Form over and over. I noticed that if I move to a location away from any pools of fish, it fishes normally. I am using FPSware's Default Druid profile.

So, I checked on other toons. Works fine on Warlock, Priest, and Rogue. On my 80 mage it casts but never loots. I tried near pools, away from pools and in the Dalaran sewer. Tried another level 70 mage and got the same. That was using the default mage that comes with HB. Switched to Amplify mage and still casts but doesn't loot.
