I logged back in 24 hours later and the quest giver was there. I don't recall there being a countdown or wait timer for a quest to finish or any NPCs speaking. In any case the quest giver was there when I logged in the next day.

Hi again, Worklifebalance,

I'm going to chalk this one up to a WoWclient glitch. Sometimes logging out and back into the WoWclient will repair such glitches. One glitch I run into all the time, is the inability to turn in a quest to an NPC with a "?" over his head. He just wont' interact at all, and logging out and in repairs the issue.

Gosh knows there have been plenty of WoWclient glitches with this 5.3 drop!

cheers,
chinajade

Hi all,

If you posted an issue without a log, your posts have been immediately archived. This is clearly stated in the first post of this thread. We simply can't analyze anything, without being able to see the full log that recorded the problem.

Once again, full logs are required by this thread if you're reporting a profile issue, or asking for help getting a problem resolved:

Running " [H - Quest] 12-58 K-EK [Kick] " I ran this last night for 4 hours and my guy just sits there. I thought to wait till the morning to try it out again, did a fresh install of HB and Kicks Profiles. Then ran it again like 5 min ago, still standing there. If you can help out that will be nice, I want to level this guy to 60 or maybe higher before I leave to Basic Training on the 11th. Also what plugins are best for leveling?

*Update*
Did a fresh install AGAIN same with the profiles.
This time i ran to ratchet with the bot on to see if it will move me somewhere. While on my way to ratchet the bot moved me back to the same place where i was standing around the last time.

Hi, Ricwhale, and thank you for the logs!

It looks like Honorbuddy just decided to quit executing the profile directives. It could be an addon interfering in some fashion. You might try disabling all of them, and see if the problem continues.

If you are not off-and-away with disabled addons, you need to follow up to the Support forum, please. As, your problem isn't with Kick's profiles.

cheers,
chinajade

Hi

Seem to have a problem with the quest "Shizz work" in the BC profile.

The bot wont move to far away from the quest giver and only kill the closes "deranged hellboar".

It does eventually complete the quest, but only after a very very long time.

I am sure it is not a problem if it eventually completes the quest but the running to the same boar until it eventually appears and eventually defecates the objective can cause someone to maybe report something "bot like".

Log attached:

[EDIT 1Jun2013 by chinajade]: @Kick, need to give this a look when we get a toon back into the area. The profile defines a very large hunting ground. We need to see why Honorbuddy is only going after one Hellboar.

Hi, Tumbum, and VERY sorry! Didn't know you were holding a toon there.

I worked with Kick to obtain an interim solution for the Alliance side of that quest about three weeks ago. You will kill twice as many mobs as necessary to complete that quest, but it shouldn't be inconvenient, or obvious.

I checked if the solution was copied from the Alliance side to the Horde side. It was, but there were some cut-n-paste errors that have since been corrected in v2427.

If you have problems with it, please let us know.

cheers,
chinajade

Hi,

I only need one or two tips to configure my questing a little more better. When I use Kicks Profiles, must I hook on Flight Pathes and Find Vendors?
Could it be when I hook on Herbalism and Mining while questing, the bot get stuck therefore?

Thanks in Advance

Hi, Tigerlady3012,

Sorry for missing your post--it was lost in the wall of posts-without-logs.

It should be safe to turn off "Find Vendors Automatically", but I wouldn't unless it was causing particular problems. All this option does is adds missing vendors to Honorbuddy's internal database, so it can figure out closer places to sell or repair when it needs to. It does this, just by noticing the vendors location and type as you pass within 50 yards or so of it--it does not need to actually interact with the vendor to update the database.

As to "Flight Paths", that one is a little more dangerous to turn off. There are a few areas where it is not safe to walk at certain levels, and the only way to prevent death loops is to use the flightpath instead of walking. Two examples jump immediately to mind:
  • Those starting in the Mulgore area must eventually move to Orgrimmar. With out using the flightpath, level 10-12 toons will attempt to walk through an area with level 30-something hostile NPCs.
  • Similarly, Gnomes & Dwarves will attempt to move to Elwynn Forest around level 5. If they don't take the Ironforge to Stormwind flightpath, they will make the journey on foot through the Badlands, a level 40-something zone.

Kick will only disable Herbalism and Mining when doing particular quest behaviors--such as an Escort.

Anytime you alter settings, Honorbuddy must be stopped for them to 'stick'. You can find more information about Honorbuddy setttings, and how profiles alter them from the information in this article:

Thank you very much for your answer:-)

I had the presumption that the bot whants to do two things parallel sometimes and runs in a circle when some of these things are marked in the settings.

This might have been mentioned before, didnt look through the pages of the thread.

On durotar 5-12 profile, the bot tries to pick up the quest Conscript of the Horde with id 840.
The quest though has been removed. I just commented the pickup and turnin and it works like a charm.

Saw 3 more bots stuck there trying to pick the quest up, so it's a damn straight up giveaway.

[EDIT 1Jun2013 by chinajade]: @Kick, can you give this a look, please?

Hello Kick I wouldn't post this if I did not think it was fairly important but I just did a clean install of both hb/wow and downloaded via svn and I was having a problem where my level 49 would travel to Northern Barrens... turns out on latest svn release Ignore Checkpoints is set to true instead of false like normal not sure why but that's how it was... Also is there a way to fix the northern barrens quest with the white cat? Due to patch 5.3 it slightly changed the area where you summon the cat sorry I do not know the exact quest name... Lastly from level 6-12 the bot just randomly wanders north and does not quest so I have been using the grinding profile until level 12... Sorry for my bad English and if this has been addressed already.

Editing my post the quest that moved slightly in Northern Barrens is called "Echeyakee" and I just manually summon and its fine otherwise the bot would be 100% afkable besides client issues.

I also wanted to just give you a huge thank you as I have been using your profiles to level toons before I even made this account back a few years ago when I had another account needed more keys so I made this one... Most problems I could easily deal with so I have not posted often but yes a huge thank you. YOU ARE AWESOME KICK!!!
