I'm questing in Hyjal and upon arrival it skipped all the introductionary quests and just flew right to Jadi Falaryn - NPC - World of Warcraft, where it compiled nordrassil quests, wolf run quests and another place i couldnt remember. And i can't really quest there since i havent unlocked the other quests. It also started to loop and fly between several spots to pick up quests, then returning to Jadi Falaryn - NPC - World of Warcraft, which is quite weird lol, cause even if i picked up other quests it didn't do them, just fly on. Is this a bug or are the profiles just poorly scripted? pls help

Hi, Bobsgettingthere, and thanks for the log.

Your log is very clean; however, it does show the telltale signs of cache corruption. And this corroborates your problem description, also. To repair...

If you want to help HBdev squish this bug once and for all:
  • Go to the HB/Cache directory and find the #######.cqc file(s)
  • Since the forum won't allow *.cqc to be directly uploaded, Zip the *.cqc files along with your log.
  • Upload the Zipped file to the Honorbuddy Bug Reports thread with a short description of the problem you encountered
To get you going again, here's how to repair the cache issue:
  • Shut down WoW and Honorbuddy
  • Delete the WoW/Cache/, WoW/Data/Cache/, and Honorbuddy/Cache/ directories
  • Restart WoW and Honorbuddy
Caches can get corrupted a few of ways:
  • You switch toons, or do a quick log out/in, without restarting Honorbuddy
  • You simultaneously run multiple sessions of Honorbuddy from the same directory on disk
  • There are other (user caused) triggers, but these are the most common.
If you're not off-and-away after this, please attach a fresh log and tell us what you see.

Thanks for your great work, Brodie.

Just one question.
I do not want the bot to do the Shieldwall Quests, because I want to wait until the Plugin Pandaria Dailies v2 has been updated for the mob skills in the mine.

All I have to do is editing the file "[Rep] Cloud Serpent Dailies [Brodie].xml" and replace

<If Condition="Me.IsAlliance" >
<CustomBehavior File="LoadProfile" ProfileName="[Rep] Shieldwall [Brodie]" />

with

<If Condition="Me.IsAlliance" >
<CustomBehavior File="LoadProfile" ProfileName="[Rep] The Anglers Dailies [Brodie]" />

Right?
 
Soo a few days ago I starteed 2 new toons (from lvl 1) up until 58 the alliance one was doing more than flawlessly, ever since it started doing Outland quests my hair turned white.. The first problem that I encountered was at lvl 59 it was trying to take a quest that requires level 60 (The longbeards or something like that) so I had to manually get it to 60 since I couldn't find a way to make it go and do the other quests that are available, same thing happened a while after that it was trying to take Help at Cenarion Post which requires level 61 but the bot was 60(again manually till 61 so that it can take the quest and continue from whereit wants)... at like 80% or so, now it's 61 1/2 and it went to grind till 62 lvl in Zangarmarsh leaving Hellfire with 54/76 quests, which has never happened to me before I've used these profiles A LOT.... I tried reinstalling the bot /several times/ it didn't help not the first not the last time not only for the Grinding, I also tried it while it was still in Hellfire, I tried changing IgnoreCheckpoint still didn't help it just keeps Grinding now..... what went wrong?

Hi, Darkbound,

It sounds like you've got something fundamentally wrong, as Kick's BC profile was solid last time I ran it.

But we can't help you with any of this without seeing a log that demonstrates the problem. We'll have to take the issues one-by-one, and will need a full log attached.

And yeah like I said I've used it myself many times and I've barely had any issues... I am running the bots in a Virtual Machine if it matters, but I dont think so, since 1-58 I had ZERO problems and got it in less than 48 hours /played...

I wanted to point out that the latest release of HB included the old version of MrFishit. Please make sure you re-copy the included quest bahaviors over the ones included with the release.

Hi again, Darkbound, and thanks for the logs!

As to your first log...
I've seen a log like your first one, before. Its like Honorbuddy just decides to quit executing profile directives. In this case, its acknowledges the profile directive to go pick up Helping the Cenarion Post, but fails to load the tiles, and start calculating the path to get there. The line in the profile is a simple "PickUp" like any other pickup in the profile. I've no explanation as to why Honorbuddy chokes and dies on it. I double-checked the pickup line, and the QuestId and GiverId are correct.

As a work-around, move to Amaan the Wise, and picking up the quest manually should have you off-and-away.


As to your second log...
It looks like the profile is behaving correctly. The profile is designed to Grind you to 58, do a few quests that are 'safe', then Grind you to 60, then continue questing. There are several 'GrindTo' directives in the BC profile pack. More info, here.


We could also try clearing your caches just to be safe:
  • Shut down WoW and Honorbuddy
  • Delete the WoW/Cache/, WoW/Data/Cache/, and Honorbuddy/Cache/ directories
  • Restart WoW and Honorbuddy

Since you are on VMware, you may want to use separate directories for Honorbuddy--one for each session you intend to run. This helps prevent cache corruption.


So to summarize, from the logs you posted...
  • The first log is an HB bug (that you may want to report to the Honorbuddy Bug Reports thread), and
  • The second log is "everything is running as designed".

Next time you hit a problem, let's have another look.

I have tried clearing both HB and WoW caches, and I am using separate directories for each session.

The problem with Helping the Cenarion Post wasnt that it can't go to Amaan the Wise and pick it up, the problem was that it was continuosly trying to pick it up while it can not since the character was 60 level and not 61. When I dinged 61 manually, it went and picked it up and continued from there.... the problem is that it skipped a lot of the quests which I am pretty sure it wasn't doing before, I've never seen it grinding for 62 lvl at least not for more than the half level... and like I said it still has more than 20 quests available in Hellfire and if I remember correctly the profile was getting preeetty close to the 76 quests mark... even after I changed the IgnoreCheckpoint it still kept on Grinding and I honestly don't remember the bot leaving Hellfire lower than 62 lvl..



Aaanyway it just got to 62 lets see how it will go from here on...

Good call. Yes that's all you need to do.
 
I've ran my bot overnight the last 3 nights AFK and most of the time during the day monitoring it while i watch people stream. 2 of the nights I would wake up and notice my guy just sitting there doing nothing, and 1 night it worked excellent and i was 46 when i went asleep and 53 when i woke up... I hadn't copied the quest behaviors from the profile into the honorbuddy quest behaviors folder until just now, should that fix this or could something else be the problem.
 
I have a problem after todays update of Honorbuddy.
When it does Cloud Serpent dailies and Anglers it just throws the rod in, but doesn't use it when hes got a catch.

EDIT: nevermind, just read :P
 
When doing Golden Lotus Dailies today, it is on a quest to destroy mogu statues. And instead of using them to destroy them (needs 10) it is acting like it is stuck on them. Looking really botty, using singular latest version on a frost mage. EDIT gonna copy over the behaviors and see if it helps, just read it too :S
 
the bot is stuck trying to do something with Krazek in NSTV...just stops there and keeps trying to talk to him..heres my log...(oh, im alliance)...ive deleted everything in the folder, and updated it, so im sView attachment 1336 2013-01-13 01.21.txture its the updated profiles...its probably on my end..but heres the log

Before we can even talk about a fix, we need to see a log that demonstrates the problem. It could easily be a WoWclient bug, an interfering plugin, or addon, or dozens of other things.

Without a log, we've no chance to chase it. If it happens again, please attach your full log, and describe your observations.

Ok, I understand. I might not ever be doing that quest again though... I don't use any AddOns btw!

Updated Cloud Serpent -- Feast For The Senses
Should now work for non-US clients. Please test and give feedback, I don't know how to test this on a US client for sure ;)

Error was that spells have english names, but items do not. Should now query the API for the name, and compare to that for proper casting.
 
problem whit MOP daily

Hi kick i love your work, in the "Sampling the Empire's Finest" quest on MOP Reputation the caracter stuck on the loc whitout use the "Jare" for make the quest i change your profile whit this:

Hey. When assignments have "[Rep] Shado Pan Dailies [Brodie]" very often my character dies at the approach to one of the job. He was dying for the reason that on the mountain is a very strong opponent and when my character flies around him, he attacks me and kills. It is possible to do the other way?

"One of the Jobs" Which quest?
"The Mountain" Do you have a location?"
"Strong Opponent" Who was it?

Do you have a log that could tell me some of that? Or you can fill in the blanks.

He stands on the mountain is very high. My character does not spread around the mountain and climbs to the top and meet him there. They fight and my character dies.
