Does anyone else have a problem with the bot trying to pickup quests in eternity? It targets an NPC, spam the logs with "moving to quest pickup" then try to accept quests that isn't even there to be taken.

It started with 5.1 patch for me and has been the case in Mount Hyjal, Deepholme and now Uldum. I've tried to level with BGbuddy to try next zones but it doesn't work.

Not at home so can't upload logs, but i will unless it's a widespread known problem.

Some issues :
Cloud Serpent dailies (spider ones) went to wrong cave (the hozen one), after manually moving to correct cave worked fine, but didn't return "A Tangled Web" (apparently this isn't supported, but it picked it up and did it anyway, just didn't return)
Tillers dailies, "Water, water everywhere" just stayed next to quest givers and bot said "waiting for object to spawn", had to manually do. Also didn't buy seed for farm daily, after manually buying planted it fine.

No Problem on my site with picking up Quest in the whole Cata content. i did now 16 Toons there.

Love the pack. I looked through the folders, and I'm probably overlooking it. But I'm looking for one that runs from the Vashjir starting point in the capsized ship. Doesn't seem to be in the \cata folder, and the one in other \other folder appears to be to farm a mount?

Any clarification is welcome and appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi, this is my favorite BOT for HonorBuddy. I am having a problem with heals in raids (instanced or world). In 5 man dungeons, everything works 100%, in raids however, I hardly cast any heals at all. My Mage works fine in raids, but my 2 healers (druid, paladin) are terrible. Im talking 1 heal every 8 seconds.

Also, am I setting this up correct?

I put LazyRaider in bots folder
Start HB
Select CLU on the popup for my combat routine
Select LazyRaider
Click Start

I do not load any blank profile, I read on these forums you have to load a blank profile? But from only one person I read this. Is this true?

I love kick's leveling profiles. I've even donated to him one time.

I've leveled more than 5 characters using Kick's. Just need some minor manual work from time to time.

Here's one (of the many) issue I found that you can fix if you have time to make things smoother.

[A - Quest] EK 12-58 [Kick].xml

In Western Plague Lands, while doing 'Counter Plague Research' to loot the Giant's Foot, bot don't move towards the foot, but stayed on the small hill up to the north a quite a distance from the foot.

Flesh Giant Foot Scraping.webp

(I'd attach the Log, but i have 4MB log and quite difficult to pinpoint where that issue happend in the log, because I fixed it manually and continue the bot).

Hi, Codexjones, and give my initials back!

I don't believe Kick ever wrote or completed a Vash'jir profile in the pack. The initial problem had to do with lack of underwater navigation--although it looks a lot like flying, there are some very different constraints with it. Honorbuddy navigation architecture is built on meshes and not 'volumes'. The idea of mobs having an off-surface Z value was too much for it to handle.

There are ways to move underwater from point-to-point; however, randomly located mobs or objects in a 'hunting ground' is too much for the point-to-point mover. To my knowledge, this problem has never been solved.

Keep in mind that Honorbuddy2 is working its 3rd year, and we still don't have native flying built in (its just now getting to Beta). All the flying that has been done to date is done with the Flightor API Raphus wrote, and some slight of hand by Kick using the FlyTo behavior in his profiles.

Although you can't quest in Vash'jir, other bots like Gatherbuddy can use the point-to-point machinery to harvest nodes if the pathing points are chosen carefully enough that it won't get hung up on obstacles. But, that's about the extent of it. The point-to-point solution is serviceable, but far from complete. The point-to-point solution is not enough to quest with.

Do you have any idea why it isn't switching zone when I hit the specific level? It just continues questing for some reason and IgnoreCheckpoints is set to false.

Hi, Dotfix,

Checkpoints are not evaluated as the profile progresses. Honorbuddy only uses checkpoints when the profile is started to determine 'where it should start'. Stopping and starting Honorbuddy again, will have it go find the correct checkpoint, and start the profile from there.

Thank you.

If I let it run though, will it eventually switch zone or do I have to press stop and start to keep going? I can't have it run overnight if I have to press start and stop when it's done with a zone :/

Hi again, Dotfix,

Checkpoints are only evaluated and used when you click Honorbuddy's "Start" button. If you want your toon to skip forward, you'll have to stop/start Honorbuddy. If you want to do that unattended, you could probably configure ARelog for your needs.

One word of warning with this...
The profile must be written carefully. For instance, if the profile writer got careless, you may skip over the section of a profile that picks up and completes a quest, to a checkpoint that tries to turn the quest in. I'm pretty sure Kick's profiles probably don't have these problems, but you never know. Proper checkpointing in profiles requires a fair bit of testing--even when moving between quest hubs.

How has people resolved the bot stopping because it didnt think it grabbed the quest, when it really did..

Thank you once again, sir. But I'm still missing an answer to a question I need answered before I jump to bed.

Right now, my toon is doing Hellfire in TBC. When it's done with all the quests there - will the bot log out and quit or will it continue to the next zone automatically?

Hi, Sogenius,

You'll need to post a log for us to have any chance at analyzing your problem.

In the meantime, try this:
  • Stop WoW
  • Delete the WoW/Cache and WoW/Data/Cache directories
  • Restart WoW and Honorbuddy
If that doesn't work, please make a post in the Support forum with your log. Your problem is not one related to Kick's profiles.

cheers & good luck,
chinajade

Hi again, Dotfix,

Kick's profiles are written in such a way that they chain from one zone to the next until TBC is complete. At that point, you'll have to load Kick's Cataclysm profiles, and they will similarly chain from zone-to-zone until the Cataclysm pack is complete.

chinajade

Thank you so much for your answers. It's highly appreciated.

Have a good day and keep up the good work! =)

Sorry about that. I'll double check the XYZ coords on the cave. The Tillers Water water quest, I know whats wrong and I'm flying there now. They moved the FP. I'l realign it so it works. The buying of the seed is...broken? Something to do with 5.1, the "buy from vendor" code isnt working as intended. The code is correct, but the function isnt doing something...or something...for now, since its the first quest done on the list, just stick by it to buy the seed, then let her rip afk. Should work from there on out.

Also the one quest from cloud serpent that isnt supported but completed, probably because it inadvertantly finished it. Kill quest? yeah probably. I'll look up the turn-in info and add it, and the rest when I can test that individual quest for myself.

EDIT: Water, Water Everywhere fixed. A Tangled Web Turn in added, but quest itself is still not officially supported.
