HB ARCHIVES: Honorbuddy Profile Pack--DO NOT DELETE!

Hi, I'm just leveling my 7th toon with this profile.
I had never a problem before, but right now my toon level in Feralas although I'm level 43.
The resolution for this problem should be "stop, start the profile", but it won't worked for me.
Could someone help me, what else I can do?

Through The Dark Portal Error!

Hi,

I am trying to lvl up an undead warlock and am currently lvl 59 in the blasted lands, the bot keeps looping and getting stuck on a quest (Through the Dark Portal), basically it seems like he has already done the quest however every time I run the profile he runs over to speak to NPC "Zidormi" gets an error as there is nothing to pick up then seems to run back the NPC quest giver Warlord Dar'toon however there is nothing to pick up as the quest has already been done......then errors & bot stops.

I have tried a fresh install, cleaning cache's etc however it keeps reverting back to this, i have even tried a few more quests to jog it on a little but it wont wrk, keeps going back...

Any help would be appreciated,

Hey, is it possible to make the 85-90 Profiles to use Flying, im trying to get the Loremaster through Kicks profiles and he trys to get Quests from Xiao at Pangs yard, but I already did some Quests in Valley for example, possible to let the Bot know which Quests I already did?

I think your best bet is to go to the notice board in Stormwind and grab the Hero's Call: Outland (Hero's Call: Outland! - Quest - World of Warcraft), then go thru the portal and turn it in. Then start the bot and it should run.

Edit - I think an undead may have trouble with getting the Heros Call quest in Stormwind... might be better to get the Warchiefs Command: Outland (Warchief's Command: Outland! - Quest - World of Warcraft) instead... sorry for not reading that right the first time!

With the pre-WoD drop we now have to travel back in time by speaking to Zidormi in order to pursue that quest chain.

We've made the appropriate changes to v3538.

It appears that Zidormi does NOT off time travel to the lower levels. (checked on a 52 and a 62). Other comments on Wowhead indicate others are unable to find the old quest. This needs to be replaced with the Hero's Call: Outlands unless the quest can be skipped and the following quest picked up (Arrival in Outland - Quest - World of Warcraft) without it. When my 52 gets there I will try to confirm if it can be skipped.

(These quests are for Alliance, don't know about Horde)
Edit - a quick check with a horde instant 90 shows that I can pick up the next quest "Arrival in Outland" without the Hero's Call / Warchiefs Command quest to lead to it.

Hi, all,

It appears that Zidormi only works in certain circumstances. Sometimes the "Time Travel" aura is automatic, and sometimes its not.

As a result, in v3552 we've completely removed picking up the "Through the Dark Portal" quest. This was a breadcrumb quest that should not affect the profile in any fashion. We still might not have worked out all the kinks, because Bliz moved the "Blasted Lands" portal to take you to "Hellfire Peninsula" directly now. There is also a new "Blasted Lands" portal for the Iron Horde part of the storyline.

We'll have to work these quirks the next time we get a toon back through the area. Sorry for any inconvenience.

I fixed the issue by stopping bot, finishing the quest quickly, then restarting bot. I have got from there (level 2) to 16 without error and in about 5 hours.

Just wanted to make you guys aware, it could be me, but I think it's likely a bug added due to new content?

Hi, ArmyDr, and MANY thanks for the great write-up and log!

The problem was the priest-special part of the starter profile was using the wrong mob id for the "Training Dummy". This problem has been corrected in v3553 of the profile pack.

First: Thanks for that good work.
My other 40+ had the same problems but after Ashenvale it worked fine (yet).

Problem #1:
Goal: Turning in Quest - All Apologies (All Apologies - Quest - World of Warcraft) : To - Garrosh Hellscream : ID - 39605
I'm 22 without heirlooms.

There is a new NPC there instead of Garrosh: Vol'jin

Also all other quests that are related to Vol'jin will not work: Dread Head Redemption, (Enemies Below)

Problem #2
Bot stops working after talking to Durak (Quest: Dread Head Redemption). I'll get the log files now.

Edit: Log file from the time shortly before turning in All Apologies (Problem#1) to the bot stop working (Problem #2)

Hi! I'd like to start off by expressing my appreciation for this profile, it's an absolutely fantastic tool.
However, I've just recently started using it and while supervising the bot in action I noticed that it often kills every/almost every non-neutral mob when going from point A to B. Is this intended? I feel like it's losing a lot of time it could be spending on quests etc. but instead kills a bunch of lions four levels under me that barely affect my XP.
So yeah, is this intended or am I doing something wrong?

EDIT: Oh and, just to be clear, I'm using the Questing bot, as instructed.

I experienced the same. What was his current state? Sometimes the bot had to grind to a certain level before questing again.

It always displayed stuff like "turning in >quest<" or "looting farm key" etc., but it killed other mobs regardless.
It never displayed grinding for XP/lvl.
 
Quest Flow

@Chinajade - I am having many issues with stopping/restarting this pack (which I understand wasn't the intent). However, is there any way to disable selling/repairing on restart of the bot? As is, it goes way out of the way to try to sell/repair even if bags aren't full and very little damage has been done.

@Chinajade - In addition, gaving read over this and the archives extensively, I think there should be a note in the instructions where you comment:

If your character is not freshly created...
You may also run the auto-loader profile for your faction, and have it select the correct profile for you. This is automatically accomplished by the built-in auto-chaining functionality...

That this ONLY works if you have the flight paths. I have tried to restart this pack several times now and it didn't work until I went to the correct zone and/or obtained the flight path. *unless I am doing something wrong*

1-58 EK: 1-5 Race specific, 5 Elwynn Forest, 12 Westfall, 16 Redridge, 21 Duskwood, 27 N.STV, 33 S.STV, 37 WPL, 40 EPL, 46 Badlands, 47 Searing Gorge

@FieryTaco and ari - I've used many leveling packs in the past, and this (thusfar) has been far superior to any other. That being said, it will likely never be faster than hard farming it yourself. For instance, I took over yesterday and got 5 levels (in the 30s) in an hour! The bot is averaging between 30mins-1hr per level. This will still put me 1-60 in about 2-3 days (almost entirely afk). To me this is a very big win! :-)

But to answer your question specifically, unless Chinajade corrects me, it is designed to kill mobs in between in most scenarios. You might be able to change this by clicking on Settings & Tools-> General-> Kill between hotspots

Your buddystore username and password is different than the one you use for the Forums... it is the one you used to buy HB. I had forgot my Username and Pass too a bit ago, since I hadn't logged in a while. Just have them email you your info for your password recovery.

Alliance side at least ~Level 49, this quest does not work: Operation: Stir the Cauldron - Quest - World of Warcraft
I tried resetting the bot and quest, and the issue is that he does not talk to the flight guy to initiate protecting the cauldron. Instead he just runs to the entrance of the Cauldron and the bot times out. I was able to manually do the quest and reset the bot.

This quest Mud Hunter got stuck and my Toon ran in circles for like 15mins and the bot never stopped, and never looted the objects...

Another problem:
[H] Feralas - QuestId: 25379, QuestName: Taerar's Fall
As a mage the bot blinks my char out of the radius -> quest fails.
